Good food options, easy access to beach and great selection of pools! Pool areas were wonderful. Would be nice if there was a public hot tub. Not much to do if weather is bad. Also would be nice to have hot showers. Loved this place.

We chose this place due to the reviews online - it is a pricey place for what we experienced. The rooms, if you get a one bedroom suite, are awesome for families. The pool was freezing - even when it is hot outside, it was barely tolerable for our kids to get in the pool. The service was so-so - good service when someone came to you, but not always efficient. The gym is big, but it needs a lot more free weights and cleaned better. There was only one rack of free weights. The food is good, but not exceptional. I also feel like all-inclusive isn't really all-inclusive as they try to have you buy wine (at much higher prices than restaurants in the USA) in order to get reservations at the restaurants. The beach is amazing - best part of the trip.

Pros: this resort is beautiful, clean, and has beautiful aesthetics with thee most kindest and nicest people working there! Especially the restaurant at Mar House, the waiters there are top tier including Jonathan, Gabriel, and Alfredo! These guys were so lovely, offered to take a picture of me and my husband and were providing 5+ star services by always checking in and making sure our order was correct for food, drinks, and desserts. Room service was pretty great too, they would restock the fridge daily with drinks. Cons: we stayed at Majestic for 14 days, me and my husband didn’t know this, but this is a WEDDING resort hotel. There were 3-4 weddings per night and I wish I was over exaggerating. We would get kicked out of the inifnity pool near the sky lounge everyday between 2-4 pm, prime time to relax and swim into the evening. Their entertainment is mediocre, bc they cater to weddings. We had our own swim up pool suite but the pools are small and there are only 2 main pools the bottom floor near Lively bar and the Infinity pool near sky lounge. So when we get kicked out from the top pool, everyone goes to the bottom and its crowded and dirty due to high volume of people. In addition, we wanted to go to dinner to Il Bottacio italian, we dress up nicely I handpicked all our outfits, and they didn’t let us go inside bc my husband was wearing fancy shorts with nice boat shoes instead of slacks, I didnt pack slacks & had explained this to the lady. Would not go back.

The pool time ending at 6 pm which is terrible. Lots of restaurants were limited for adults only. There was no restaurants and foods on the beach. There was no good show. There was no night club just a small sport club and no live music. There was just two similar restaurants for launch. There was no facility for water sports like Volleyball on the pools.

Several pool, several beaches, several bars. Great room although not the sturdiest of furniture . The staff is friendly and the restaurants are super yummy! The Club amenity is not super necessary unless you really want an Adults Only experience and private club room for with snacks and drinks . But again, we didn’t find it necessary . The swim up pool rooms seemed very nice & so did the sky view rooms with the rooftop pools wish we got that room. The shows were entertaining and so were all the activities throughout the day. Beach volleyball was one of our favorites wish they promoted it more so more guests would play

Overall the experience was very good. I had some inconveniences when they did not gave me the ADA room I had requested. That process needs to improve to better serve those of us who need those rooms as it is an absolute necessity. Housekeeping was also not great. I did not get enough towels, my mini fridge will not get refilled, and tv remote did not work. I had to call several times to request for things.

Friendly, helpful staff anywhere you go. Rubi our butler was kind and helpful with anything we needed and always let us know what was going on for the day. The room was clean with excellent service from Conchi. The common areas were also clean with staff always making sure you were taken care of with whatever beverages or food desired. Beach was also relatively clean for it being seaweed season. Would recommend Majestic to family and friends.

The property is gorgeous, really gorgeous especially in the common areas. Very modern. Very clean. Friendly staff. Good food and cocktails. What’s wrong with this facility is the old furniture and the awful smell of mildew in the rooms. I paid for an upgrade to Club level and for the price I paid I didn’t expect to see worn down dressers, tables, a couch with stains, other worn down pieces and stained walls from water leaks. Nor did I expect to smell of mildew. It was so strong it smacked me in the face entering the room. When I returned home my entire suitcase of worn and unworn clothes smelled so bad from the mildew. I wouldn’t return to this resort unless the rooms were entirely renovated and the mildew issues were resolved. Too expensive for the room conditions. Very disappointing.

Our stay at Majestic Elegance was not as great as we thought it would be. There were some things my partner and I did not like about the room. Our room had a funny smell. Similar to the smell of a basement. The cleanliness of the room was not up to our standard. There were cob webs in corners, dusty. The jacuzzi was dirty with dead bugs and dirt in it. The lounge bed next to jacuzzi had dirty pillow cushion and pillows. There were cosmetic issues like paint chips, scrapes and scratches to appliances (fridge/built in fridge cabinet). Some things were addressed during our stay. They offered aromatherapy each night to help with smell. They did clean the room once we voiced our concerns and daily after that. Some of the food didn’t taste appetizing. Some of the restaurants had dirty chair cushions and table decor wasn’t very clean. Staff were very kind and respectful. They have excellent customer service. Val our butler was fantastic.

The resort itself is beautiful and the staff is super friendly. Unfortunately we paid $410 extra to upgrade to club level at check-in but the room given to us was dirty: trash not taken out, a used beach bag, dirty, crumpled, and stained comforter, used bathroom/shower amenities. One of the double sinks had mold collecting on the base and the other had a leak. Our valet never passed by until we called three times the following day. The hot tub and outdoor lights were also out of order and we had to call for service. The morning room service previously scheduled for 9am via valet didn’t arrive and we had to place the order ourselves with the kitchen and had it delivered at 11am (the earliest they could accommodate us). We scheduled housekeeping for 11am every morning: they would either never show up or show up at 9am claiming no such arrangement for us had been made. At night we found a small cockroach next to the bed, the following afternoon, there was a large live one on the bathroom sink which I myself had to kill and then pest control who had allegedly fumigated came and removed the insect.BThe second to last night we were there was a party next or above us who threw trash in our balcony. The food was ok: buffets are their forte. The steakhouse was great. The Japanese cuisine was disappointing as we found some of the food too salty or too bland. No one ever explained the club level lounge access or gave us much explanation of the hotel.

We requested the room with two beds but there still was one bed in the room when we got inside. Had to call to the front desk at least 4 times before they sent somebody in to move the bed. Then have to call again because nobody was going to put bedding on the second bed. The staff is very unprofessional and not trained.The handle on the shower facet fell down. We asked several days in row to fix it. Nobody showed up. Manager was trying to accommodate the requests but the staff didn’t follow the order. The room looks good at first glance but a lot of necessary details are overlooked. The drain is very poor in the shower. The water stays on the floor and goes directly to the bathroom. The glass toilet door isn’t the best idea. I think most of the people would like to have the privacy at there. Also, there’s no hooks in the shower to hang the towel. The jacuzzi one the deck is great but there’s no steps or a single handle to help you to get in and out. The water in the pools isn’t heated. It’s OK when whether is warm and sunny. During our stay, most of the time it was windy and cool. It’s impossible to swim in the pool so cold the water was. The beach is extraordinary good. Gold sand. Nice chairs and cabanas. All bars and restaurants are also very good. Also, it didn’t felt right that in the same resort there areas for Club Members only. It makes more sense to have it as a separate resort, like Adults only.

Staff was fantastic, food options were great, the TVs were in a very odd spot on the bedroom that don’t turn towards the bed making it hard to watch TV, however the staff took care of this and installed a swivel TV stand. The rooftop plunge pool was fabulous. Excellent service. The water was not as blue in this area as other parts of the Cancún, playa del carmen area. So if you’re looking for pure blue water this may not be the spot for you. Wonderful staff, good food and excellent resort overall.

Good value for the price but can definitely improve. booked last min, $500 a night for 1adult,1teen for the rooftop room in family section. Definitely adult sections were nicer and better maintained, 75% of the hotel is adults only so if your traveling w kids it’s probably better elsewhere. buffet food was decent for a buffet, 4/5* turnover often, restaurant was hot inside and only option for breakfast and lunch if you were not in the club level which is adult only. dinner restaurants were better, bistro was the best and you need reservations also adult only, server was excellent and it was nice and upkept, We walked in 8-9pm all other restaurants with no wait. Sushi restaurant could use improvement but sushi is not usually great in Mexico all Inclusive in my experience. The Italian was good and server was working hard but they needed more servers he was overwhelmed. Our room we had a loft with a roof top jacuzzi, the jacuzzi was rusted and the upstairs was not pleasant, it needed maintenance overall the day bed and floors we did not use it. The sliding door on the patio did not lock due to rusted metal lock mechanism. The air conditioner was sub par, the thermostat was 60 degrees but was more like 78, it’s on a motion sensor so if you weren’t moving around it went off, like when you’re sleeping. The bars needed more bartenders. beach was mediocre, no food or drink service. The bell boys were very nice and helpful for recommendations Asked for ice bucket 2x never came

Our first trip to Mexico! We stayed at Majestic from Oct 18–25 to celebrate my birthday, and I instantly fell in love with the hotel’s ambience. It actually rained when we arrived, so I got a bit nervous since it’s still hurricane season. But, luckily, it only poured for a about an hour during our first and last day. Food-wise, my personal favorites were the Jalisco-Style Shrimp at El Mariachi Loco and the Beef Fillet at Kabuki (super tender!). We also really enjoyed Mcjestic and Flavors Buffet! The room was beautiful, but a few areas could use refreshing, like the curtains needed a better clean/fixing and some wall paint had chipped, so hoping they are able maintain the property. That said, the mattress and sofa were incredibly comfy, which made the stay feel extra cozy. Overall, it was such a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our second visit and we will be back again! Very nice rooms, spacious, nice amenities. Our Butler was very sweet and helped us with anything we asked. Bistro is a fantastic restaurant with live piano and we highly recommend it.

An absolutely fantastic resort! We loved that it wasn’t as large as a lot of resorts and the staff was awesome. Food was great, rooms were clean and our butler Rubi did a fantastic job! We got the plunge pool suite and I’ll never go back to a standard room after that! 10/10 would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a mostly adult resort that’s high end!

The property is pricy for what is offered. We have stayed in the Cancun area every year for over 10 years. We wanted to stay at a place with good food and a nice beach. The beach was very nice and clean, however the rest of the resort was below average. The check in agent was rude and made me feel like a beggar when I asked for a room upgrade. I have never asked for an upgrade, although Expedia has emailed me multiple times stating that I was qualified for one. The agent was pompous and belittling. 50% of the time the staff was inattentive and made you feel as if you were a burden on there day. Even when asking where you could get a towel or where the washrooms were. We are not the type to not tip everywhere we go, we are accustomed to this and tip each person who helps and attends to us, and will tip even if someone is less than friendly. The food and restaurant options were lack luster, very few offerings, especially for the price we paid. For breakfast there was a buffet with the same options everyday. For lunch the only options were two buffets with the same offerings at each one and same food everyday. No change of cuisines or dishes. This is not what we are used to. Most places at least change up the cuisine or theme. This is the same for the dinner buffet, same food but the options were less and were worse at night. We know this because our meals were so bad at the restaurants for dinner that we would go by the buffet to see what was offered.

Everything was excellent here with our stay after we got over the check in process. When we checked in they tried to offer us an “upgrade”. We booked a swim up room. They tried to upgrade us to a room on the 4th floor. When we said we weren’t interested they then admitted they didn’t have a swim up room for us. Our first night we were on the 4th floor then moved to a swim up the next day. That was the only disappointing part of the trip. After that the food, service and stay at the resort was excellent.

My best friend & I booked this resort for my birthday. Overall this resort was beautiful, views were stunning. Room was very clean, no issues. Our butler Melissa was attentive, accommodated our every need, Sent us daily scheduled events, helped us set up a sky top dinner which was stunning. As far as some other staff members, I feel were very judgmental and rubbed my bestie and I the wrong way. It was very upsetting for us especially because I’ve been to plenty of resorts and the staff never made me feel uncomfortable like I experienced at majestic. Our waiter at the Mexican cuisine restaurant seemed to be annoyed and was very rude. The next night we went to the steakhouse restaurant which the staff at the stand looked me up and down with a attitude and proceeded to tell me that I won’t be able to dine there because I had on beachwear which, (I did not) I had on a floral vacation skirt knee length with a matching top. We were very upset about this.So our last night we went back and I made sure I wore a button up dress so they won’t have anything to say about my outfit. Got in. Seen a female with a mesh see through bodysuit there which was confusing to me because just a few nights before I was denied to dine there because of my outfit which was not revealing at all. The food was delicious though. The steakhouse was the best food we had our entire stay honestly. The buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner wasn’t that great I would give it a 5/10.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres for seven days and overall it was a mixed experience. The hotel is well-suited for families and those on a budget, situated about 30 to 40 minutes from Cancun in a secluded area. Upon arrival, I was impressed with the well-maintained grounds and the easy check-in process, complete with a refreshing cocktail. I reserved a swim-up suite at the Elegance Club, which was a great choice, as the room was well-appointed and worth the extra money. However, I was disappointed with the Butler service. Unfortunately, my Butler Renee- was ineffective and struggled to assist with cabana reservations, additional amenities, and dinner bookings. I've had positive experiences with Butlers at other hotels, but this was not the case here. I even shared screenshots with the hotel regarding the communication issues I faced. He would not respond to messages at all. As for the food, it was just okay and room service left much to be desired. I also found it inconvenient that the swim-up bars didn't open until 11 AM and closed early, plus alcohol delivery to rooms was not an option. Additionally, cappuccinos were only available after 8 AM. Our in room coffee maker did not work. Despite these shortcomings, I want to highlight some exceptional team members who made my stay more enjoyable. Jamie from the entertainment team was fantastic. The pool waiters, particularly Carlos, Manuel, Cauich, and Alonso, truly made a difference

El hotel estaba muy bonito pero al momento que compré el plan no se me indicó que debía tomar club room porque su información dice todo incluido pero en realidad hay 3 restaurantes que solo permiten la entrada si adquieres el plan club. Me alojaron en el área familiar cuando éramos dos adultos. Por lo demás el servicio comparado con el hotel que tienen en punta cana (mirage) no tiene comparación. El personal de la recepción no es tan claro y le falta mucho más servicio al cliente.

La comida es lo mejor del hotel. Sin embargo, no me gustó la ubicación: está bastante alejado y no realizan limpieza del sargazo en la playa. Es un hotel que se presenta como cinco estrellas, pero opera con un presupuesto limitado; hay muy poco personal para el tamaño de las instalaciones, y aunque todos hacen su mejor esfuerzo, resulta insuficiente. We had a really great time. The quality of the food was great and we loved our room as well as the service. The pool situation was okay but I think they need a bigger adult pool. The small adult pool got crazy in the afternoons and crowded. The beach is of course beautiful but they dump all the seaweed next door and both sides of the resort is empty so that seaweed isn’t dealt with. That means it can get stinky.

We went here for a family wedding. We had an excellent room a wonderful time. There were lots of restaurants within the resort, although it was quite far away from anything else in the area. We had no need to leave the facility though because everything was there. The pool was wonderful. The beach was beautiful. The food was excellent and the people there were wonderful. We enjoyed the spa and the weather just was spectacular.

We have stayed at other all inclusive properties in Cancun but this was the first at Majestic Elegance. We stayed on the family side of the resort as we have two teenage girls. Every meal we had was phenomenal! The resort never felt crowded and there was always chairs available at the pools and beach. The beach was beautiful and well maintained. Andrew was part of the Funjestic team. He made our trip extra special. Always telling us what activities were happening and keeping us involved! We hope to book another trip soon!

Acabo de quedarme en este hotel, queda a 45 min del aeropuerto, mi transportación fue con booking, segura y económica, el resort es bellísimo, el personal muy amable, el check in súper rápido, agradezco que me hicieron un upgrade a mi habitación, gracias por eso, la comida de los restaurantes de especialidad estuvieron muy buenos especialmente el de Mar house para cena, luego el steak house, el italiano no se queda atrás para desayuno y almuerzo. Ahora bien, este resort lo considero más para pareja, para la tranquilidad, no es un resort movido, ni con muchas actividades para niños, más bien romántico y tranquilo para pasar tiempo de calidad en pareja. En las noches no hay mucho que hacer, por eso digo que es más para personas que quieren pasar un rato tranquilo alejados de todo. Cosas negativas: El almuerzo del buffet estaba más o menos, el desayuno estaba mejor, no hay agua caliente en el baño de las habitación, la limpieza puede mejorar en las habitaciones y en los baños del lobby. Luego le doy un 9 de 10!!! Volveríamos sin pensarlo, quedamos enamorados.

Several pool, several beaches, several bars. Great room although not the sturdiest of furniture . The staff is friendly and the restaurants are super yummy! The Club amenity is not super necessary unless you really want an Adults Only experience and private club room for with snacks and drinks . But again, we didn’t find it necessary . The swim up pool rooms seemed very nice & so did the sky view rooms with the rooftop pools wish we got that room. The shows were entertaining and so were all the activities throughout the day. Beach volleyball was one of our favorites wish they promoted it more so more guests would play

This is a great option for someone looking to have some quiet relaxation, as well as opportunities to let loose and have a great time. Misael is an amazing bartender! He makes such great drinks and is a joy to be around. Eduardo on the entertainment team keeps things fresh, exciting and engaging. The restaurants are amazing with absolutely delicious food, but if you need a snack in the evening don’t hesitate to go see Guadalupe at McJestic. He is making incredible food, you just need to make sure you ask him for the “special quesadilla”. It was an amazing trip and we will be coming back!

The property is pricy for what is offered. We have stayed in the Cancun area every year for over 10 years. We wanted to stay at a place with good food and a nice beach. The beach was very nice and clean, however the rest of the resort was below average. The check in agent was rude and made me feel like a beggar when I asked for a room upgrade. I have never asked for an upgrade, although Expedia has emailed me multiple times stating that I was qualified for one. The agent was pompous and belittling. 50% of the time the staff was inattentive and made you feel as if you were a burden on there day. Even when asking where you could get a towel or where the washrooms were. We are not the type to not tip everywhere we go, we are accustomed to this and tip each person who helps and attends to us, and will tip even if someone is less than friendly. The food and restaurant options were lack luster, very few offerings, especially for the price we paid. For breakfast there was a buffet with the same options everyday. For lunch the only options were two buffets with the same offerings at each one and same food everyday. No change of cuisines or dishes. This is not what we are used to. Most places at least change up the cuisine or theme. This is the same for the dinner buffet, same food but the options were less and were worse at night. We know this because our meals were so bad at the restaurants for dinner that we would go by the buffet to see what was offered.

The actual property was really nice. The food at the restaurants was really good too. BUT the reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars is, 1. What all inclusive hotel doesn’t serve coffee till 7 am. I found that to be ridiculous, they have room service that starts at 6 am but they won’t deliver sooner than 6:30-6:45am, it takes them 30-45 min to bring u coffee. And the bar that serves coffee opens at 7 am. So I found that to be super annoying. It’s simple coffee and people do wake up early so they need to work on that. 2. My other issue with them was we upgraded one of the rooms and paid $600, and we went to the room to see it after we paid and it was right in front of the construction and there was so much dust. So I went back to the front desk. And they literally told me oh well, the supervisor came she was so rude. She didn’t even acknowledge us, she looked at me and said ur room u had was taken already and walked away. I thought she went to do something and come back but she was completely gone. I asked to speak to a manager they didn’t have one on duty and said the manager will call us. We stayed there for 4 days till now we haven’t heard from anyone. So she think they need to work on their customer service.

Summary Large group stay across four rooms. Pros: excellent staff; high-quality food at all restaurants; Friday night Silent Party was fun. Cons: bathrooms lacked privacy; beach drink access was inconvenient; construction traffic (bulldozers) on Saturday disrupted the vibe; limited nightlife after 8pm (Saturday show ended around 9pm); pools felt small for both adults and kids. Bottom line: Great staff and food, but privacy, noise, nightlife, and pool size drawbacks detracted from the overall experience.

Majestic Elegance in Costa Mujeres was wonderful. We enjoyed the activities and shows that the great entertainment team arranged. The food in the restaurants, especially the Mexican, Italian, and Steakhouse, was so good. The breakfast at the Italian restaurant is a must. The staff was amazing and we look forward to returning again soon.

We chose this place due to the reviews online - it is a pricey place for what we experienced. The rooms, if you get a one bedroom suite, are awesome for families. The pool was freezing - even when it is hot outside, it was barely tolerable for our kids to get in the pool. The service was so-so - good service when someone came to you, but not always efficient. The gym is big, but it needs a lot more free weights and cleaned better. There was only one rack of free weights. The food is good, but not exceptional. I also feel like all-inclusive isn't really all-inclusive as they try to have you buy wine (at much higher prices than restaurants in the USA) in order to get reservations at the restaurants. The beach is amazing - best part of the trip.

Buffet was always amazing. Other restaurants were great as well. Butler service was above and beyond (Lalo)! Bars were awesome with a huge selection of beverages. Plunge pool suite is the way to go. Unbelievable experience!!!

El hotel estaba muy bonito pero al momento que compré el plan no se me indicó que debía tomar club room porque su información dice todo incluido pero en realidad hay 3 restaurantes que solo permiten la entrada si adquieres el plan club. Me alojaron en el área familiar cuando éramos dos adultos. Por lo demás el servicio comparado con el hotel que tienen en punta cana (mirage) no tiene comparación. El personal de la recepción no es tan claro y le falta mucho más servicio al cliente.
