Really nice new resort, however some areas are still on construction. So during the day you could hear drilling and such right behind the pool. Two of their main restaurants are still closed. We payed extra for a swim out pool which we couldn’t use because it was full of debris from the construction. Food was really good from the main restaurants. The buffets had a lot of variety but not as good as the food served on restaurants. The staff was really trying hard to keep everyone happy. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. The spa and the gym are closed as they are still under construction. I’m a big gym person and it was disappointing. They had 4 treadmills inside one of the hotel rooms but it was depressing. Overall the hotel is beautiful and the beach was clean. I had a great time.

Overall a great place to stay staff and wait service were excellant especially jeffrey around the swim up bar pool. We came for a wedding with 70 plus other poeple. The only bad things the rendevour bar closes at 11 when your just chatting and having fun and dont want to go to the night club cause your not in your twentys and dont want the bang bang bang music it cuts short your evening. Also the wedding couple who brought in over $100,000 to the resort didnt even get a free night or stay for free

The property itself is brand new and easy to get around. The rooms are beautifully decorated. What I loved about this property was our swim out king room. Having that private pool (where we spent most of our time) was great. Especially the fact that our room was located right next to the jungle pool bar! The beach is nice and the water is beautiful. There is a little seagrass, but nothing terrible. What I didn’t like about this property were the Bali beds and lounge chairs that are under the pergolas along the different pool areas are reserved for a bottle fee. Also, the breakfast buffet. It was pretty average. There is no lunch or dinner buffet offered so you have to eat in all the specialty restaurants which, for the most part other than two of them require that you be dressed in casual elegance. Overall the food is just average. Nothing really stood out as being amazing, but for an all inclusive, it still is better than most places. What I can recommend is the Oso Buco in the Italian restaurant and the pork shank in the Mexican restaurant. And the grilled bone marrow, which is offered in the Mexican restaurant and the Sea Grill. Oceana and the Sea Grill and as well as the Mexican restaurants had some of the better food in my opinion. And as far as the cocktails, Rendezvous bar in the center of the property(which is where they are currently having nighttime shows because the theater isn’t open yet) by far has the best cocktails. Actual real craft cocktails.

Awesome time in our non preferred jr suite swimout this week. We usually stay preferred but just booked a week ago. Didn’t feel like I was missing much. This is a beautiful place. Lots of chairs everywhere. I thought the food was excellent here compared to other Secrets we have stayed at. We have stayed at many. Service was great, water was beautiful,and the sand is the softest!

This was our first time staying at a Secrets Resort. The decor & ambiance are exceptional. The staff was great, the hotel being Adults Only made our stay a lot quieter. This resort is just over a year old, we loved everything being new, & clean. The food was above average for an all-inclusive resort. We highly recommend this resort, the area being approximately an hour north of Cancun, makes for a much more exclusive & private experience being out of the way from everything, with white sand beaches.

Absolutely fabulous! Property is lush, clean, and well laid out. The rooms are gorgeous and all have a view. The staff is incredible, especially our building concierge, Monica, she was so helpful, kind, and went above and beyond! Restaurants were easy to get into. Beach was cleaned daily, so no sea weed build up. Check in and out was streamlined. Recommend to those who want to just relax and feel like there are no worries!

Regarding the room cleaning, it was very good, service was provided twice a day, and the entire staff was very friendly and respectful. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a bit far from the hotel zone and parks. But everything about the hotel was excellent, especially the beautiful beach!

Nuevo pero se está cayendo. Mi baño se inundaba cada vez que me bañaba, había tanta agua que mi esposo un día se resbaló. From the moment we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with a welcome glass of champagne and a fresh, fragrant towel, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. As Expedia VIP guests, we were escorted to the VIP check-in room, where the process was seamless and the staff was incredibly warm. They even accompanied us to our room, explaining all the features along the way. The room itself was spotless, and the housekeeping service was exceptional, with at least two cleanings per day. My one complaint about the bath tub water being yellow was taken care of pretty quickly. They offered to move me to another room & constantly checked on me and my stay. I was offered a couple of options to make up for this issue that I’m still waiting to show up in my Hyatt account, but I appreciate their willingness to fix the situation. The resort itself is beautiful and the staff was great. Food was okay, but as with most resort foods it was expected. I enjoyed my stay and would come back to visit again!

Junior suite with ocean view was gorgeous. Unbelievable view of the sunrise every morning. Property is beautiful and very walkable. Natural landscaping with plenty of birds and iguanas to look at. Recommend bug spray for mosquitoes at night during mosquito season. The staff is extremely attentive, friendly, and add a little bit extra that you might not expect. They love surprises! I have bizarre food allergies that wait staff always asked about before I could bring it up. They would tailor the recipe specifically for me if there may have been a problem. The chefs from each restaurant would speak with me personally about how they would be preparing my meals. I don’t see service like that anywhere else. Ever. We will remember this vacation for a long time. We plan on returning.

Secrets Playa Blanca is truly a gem. This hotel is aesthetically one of the most beautiful properties I have seen on Mexico’s Eastern coastline. The trip started off shaky with problems at check-in, but everything thereafter was nearly perfect. The grounds, rooms, pools, and beach were all absolutely stunning. The service was excellent. The personal butlers (Eddy and Ana) were incredible and would fulfill any requests without hesitation, I had read previously that the butlers weren’t worth the preferred club upgrade, but I disagree. The staff at this hotel are fantastic. They go out of their way to ensure you are having an amazing vacation. Aside from the butlers, I want to thank Omar from the preferred club, as well as Francisco and Cesar at the Jungle pool. Also our housekeeper Areyl who was so wonderful. The spa was also heavenly, both in the environment and the services. The only major area that could use some improvement is the food. But all in all the food was pretty good for an all-inclusive property. It’s just with everything else from the facilities to the service being so elevated and luxurious, despite attempts, the food doesn’t quite match up. That was fairly minor though and I love this resort and cannot wait to plan my next stay! Thank you Secrets Playa Blanca!

The hotel contaminated my food with beef, even though I do not eat meat for religious reasons. There was no hot water, the sheets and pillows were polyester, and the air conditioner was rattling. The minimum temperature the AC could be set to was 22°C. Due to the numerous issues, the hotel had to upgrade our stay to compensate. The front desk was not very responsive. We stayed in the Preferred area, where we had our own butler who was very helpful; otherwise, having to go through the front desk for every request would have been extremely frustrating. Most of the staff were friendly. The overall quality of ingredients used in the food was good. The breakfast buffet and El Patio were very good; however, the food at the other restaurants tasted pretty bad. The chefs at those restaurants need to be changed.

The hotel itself is good as any other secrets hotel but they struggle with Staff. 1. It took at least an 1.5 hour to have lunch or dinner at any restaurant unless it was a buffet because the service was slow. I saw people wait for a glass of wine for 40 mins. 2. That issue above caused us to miss evening show every night cause the show was scheduled at inconvenient time compared to other resorts (Moxche has shows at 9:45) and Playa Blancas shows are 8:30 when majority of people are at dinner 3. Not enough staff by the pools carrying drinks around 4. I had a major issue with my pick up time by Amstar and Hotel was not able to assist me. I was supposed to be picked up at 7:40, i was at the lobby at that time exactly and they said - oh you driver actually left, sorry, cant help. Even Amstar manager on site did not do anything about it. So overall very average hotel, poor service, they need more time to figure it out.

This resort was so clean so new the check in time was very long and I had to ask about checking in because it was taking a while, we got to the hotel around 4 pm and didn’t get to the room till around 6 pm. So yes check in drags, after they give you your room, they have another person talk to you to sell you extra things and commit to other things, feels a little force and that’s one of the things I didn’t like, so be ready to say no with a firm tone! After that everything went very smooth the other thing it’s that we paid for preferred and the service at the preferred poor and preferred beach side took forever actually we didn’t even find the person to place an order at the preferred beach side, but we wanted a specific room so we were kinda forced into buying preferred. The room was fantastic and felt new. The concierge was extremely nice very attentive and the restaurants were very nice the food was very good too I highly recommend this place for couples getaway it’s perfect

The service at this property was the best I've ever experienced. From the time you arrive until the time you leave, there is someone ready to wait on you hand and foot no matter where you are on the resort. They personalize your experience by remembering your names and what kind of food/drinks you like. 10 out of 10 service. Elias was a pool concierge near the Jungle Pool during our stay and he was fantastic! Carlos was a server that worked several pools as well as the beach, also fantastic! This was also the cleanest place I've ever stayed in. Housekeeping was also 10 out of 10. I highly recommend this property!

Being locals here in Cancun, we are always on the hunt for a new place to rest for the weekend. This was our first time at this hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were big and comfortable with an oversized balcony, and the bed very comfortable with night cotton sheets. The choice of restaurants are very good if you are staying a week, since we were there only for the weekend, we didn’t get the chance to savor all the resort has to offer, but that’s a good reason to return, and yes, we will go back. All in all I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a great holiday here in Cancun, no kids here sorry, only adults. Beach was also fantastic 😀

This was our second time staying at Secrets Playa Blanca. We loved it so much last year we had to return. Our favorite to eat at lunch was Oceana and our favorite dinner spot was Seaside Grill. It is a beautiful property with the nicest staff. We will be returning.

I didn’t love the food. Well breakfast it wasn’t great to me. I did like the fresh more ordered meals at restaurants I came home Sick from water and ice served

Very beautiful, but food was horrible.... I am not a picky eater by any means but the food was very very bad. we decided to forget the all-inclusive part and we drove 35 mins away every day to get food from downtown Cancun.

The room and resort were beautiful and clean, the hotel staff friendly, lots of spots by the beach and pools, and the food was delicious! Would happily visit again.

The food choices are amazing, they did not hold back on the quality of their food, including their buffet. Special shout out to the staff in the Bordeaux restaurant, their steak is so tender and juicy, first time eating the Foie gras and Escargot, such a delightful and satisfying moment and a lot of the staff are friendly and great.

Let me start with the pros, first off the staff was great and the property itself was really nice, rooms were awesome, pools and outdoor seating areas were top notch, the beach was one of the nicer ones we’ve ever been to and check in and check out process was really easy. Now I’ll list some of the cons and the biggest problem we encountered on this trip. I definitely agree with having a dress code but I feel it was a bit strict and excessive compared to other nice all inclusive resorts we’ve visited. Another problem was the difficulty of getting into restaurants for dinner. In our situation we had a group of 10 so I understand there may be a wait to be able to set together but even when we were willing to split up dining was difficult. The first come first serve policy, with exception of Japanese which took reservations, created a mad rush at all the restaurants with no buffet style alternatives to alleviate the overflow. The biggest issue we had that prevented us from enjoying our stay, made traveling home difficult and caused lost wages was illness from the food or beverages. We did not leave the resort. Like I said we had ten people in our group, eventually seven out of the ten got violently SICK 2-3 days into our trip, five still have diarrhea even 2 days after returning home. Two have been to the doctor and been diagnosed with travelers diarrhea, something that is caused by unsafe food or water that involve parasites from FECES! Worst vacation we’ve ever experienced

There was a lot of variety in terms of food however the quality was hit and miss. For example the Teppanyaki at Himitsu was excellent but the regular Asian cuisine was not prepared to traditional standards. The Pad Thai was a plate of flat rice noodles with Teriyaki sauce, the gyoza was pulled sweet pork, and the ramen was broth was sweet and a small bowl like an appetizer. We had a similar experience at Portofino, the Italian restaurant. The first time we went it was fantastic and the second time not so much.

entire property was well kept and clean . entire staff that we’ve dealt with was very polite and friendly. The resort has a nice layout . i’d recommend getting the preferred room as for it grants you access to special bars,pools, clubs etc. on the property. If so ask for a room away from the ‘social pool’ , it tends to get rowdy late in the evening. food was great . highly recommend eating at El patio and Seaside Grill .
