It’s 3 days trip with my wife. Hotel stuff is kind, friendly. Room is big enough. Breakfast is good. Location is ok but people are yelling around the hotel at night. Hotel has a parking place next to hotel but you pay for it. I expected it’s free for the hotel guest.

They are SERIOUS about safety! Good location, be aware that homeless and hookers are everywhere, but not just near the hotel, it’s Athens. Great and safe parking, extra fees involved. Breakfast was NOT fresh or good.

I stayed at Tins hotel city for 3 nights in August 2025. The hotel itself was lovely, with really friendly staff and nice amenities. Almost perfect for solo travellers like myself. However, the surrounding area was quite unpleasant and actually really dangerous, especially after sunset. The hotel entrance is locked 24 hours a day which I can only assume is for safety purposes because the area really is that bad. It's such a shame but overall I can't fault the hotel and it's not their fault. I can only be honest about the area it's located.

It was terrible. The say there is an elevator, barely you can enter one person inside. We had a stroller and I couldn’t get it in. It’s located in an area very dangerous outside. The breakfast is so poor, we barely had eggs in the morning.

The hotel is in a very unsafe area of Athens with people using drugs openly on the streets and with homeless people sleeping on the street very close to the hotel. You need to ring a bell to enter the hotel even during the day! The area is loud in the evening due to drug users arguing or fighting. Staff are great and very helpful. Nice hotel with great staff but in the wrong neighbourhood. Always read the reviews before booking!

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber. Das Hotel ist zwar etwas älter, aber trotzdem modern eingerichtet. Im Hotel haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal war super nett und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war gut. Einziges Problem ist die Umgebung. Wir waren zwei junge Frauen und haben uns teilweise etwas unsicher gefühlt. Allerdings muss man dazu sagen, dass wir vom Hotel aus alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, welche wir sehen wollten, gut zu Fuß erreichen konnten. Wir hatten zwar ein Touristenticket für den öffentlichen Verkehr, wollten aber trotzdem lieber alles zu Fuß erkunden, das war unproblematisch möglich. Auch gut ist, dass man vom Hotel eine Liste mit Empfehlungen für Tavernen, Bars etc. bekommt. Wir haben dadurch sehr gut und auch preiswert gegessen.

It is a modern building situated in a wrong area. You pass drug addicts injecting themselves. Homeless people occupy the streets making difficult to walk in the streets. The sewage system is so bad that the area stinks and rubbish is everywhere. There is no warm foods for the breakfast. The staff are not serving that made you feel unwelcome. Not ready to replenish the food. Cakes and other savoury foods often from yesterday. Dusty on the floor. Never been mopped.

Hotel propre, très bon service, accueil très agréable a l écoute des clients. Petit déjeuner complet, avec quelques spécialités traditionnelles. Deux bémols, mauvaise isolation, très bruyant la nuit avec la circulation et hotel entouré de plusieurs toxicomanes pas top si la visite se fait avec des enfants, aucun problème avec ces gens mais les seringues sur trottoir le matin c est pas tres cool. Sans ça superbe voyage.

Wer auf eine Umgebung Lust hat, die sich bis 2 Uhr morgens nur mit Ohrenstöpseln im Hotelzimmer bei geschlossenen Febstern ertragen lässt und dem Menschen nuchts ausmachen, die Mülleimer durchwühlen oder sich auf offener Strasse Spritzen setzen, ist hier super aufgehoben. Allen anderen empfehle ich, hier nicht zu übernachten. Das Frühstück ist auch nur dann „okay“, wenn man um 7 Uhr da ist, da nichts nachgelegt wird und man gegen 9 Uhr vor einem sehr übersichtlichen Rest mit sehr schlechtem Kaffee steht. Und dabei habe ich dann noch nicht über die völlig verstaubte Lüftung, die aufgequollenen Regale und das Büschel langer schwarzer Haare an der Duschwand im Bad geredet. Ach und der Boden wird dort auch nur selten gewischt. Steckdosen sind auch Mangelware. Im ganzen Bad oder in der Nähe des Spiegels gibt es keine, so dass man dann mit dem Fön mitten im Raum stehen muss. Und am Bett gibt es auch nur dann eine freie Steckdose, wenn man eine Lampe ausstöpselt. Nicht buchen!!

The room was clean but had no view exept to a staircase. The matress was extremly hard, but anyway for one or two nights acceptable. The staff was excellent. The young man was helpful, kind and very polite! Around the corner were prostitutes and drug-users. Not to reccomend for families!

Très belle suite, propre et bien équipée. Le quartier est vivant, le metro n'est pas loin et on est à 2 pas de tous les lieux d'attractions. Petit dejeuner au top Seul bémol, la chambre donne sur la rue, qui est un peu bruyante. Mais nous etions tellement fatigués de nos journée, que nous navons eu aucun souci pour nous endormir !

Das Hotel ist wohl Zentrumsnah aber auf der Straße der Prostitution in Athen, das ist aber gar nicht so sehr das Problem. Viel schlimmer ist das man dort beim besten Willen nicht schlafen kann und das Hotel weiß dass, anstelle aber die Fenster zu erneuern- die de facto nicht existent sind= eine 1mm dicke einfache Glasscheibe, legt man den Gästen OROPAX hin!!!- Wenn es nicht so traurig wäre, dann wäre es lustig. FINGER WEG NEHMEN SIE EIN ANDRERES HOTEL!!!! Der Preis den Sie dort bezahlen ist normaler Durchschnitt, sie bekommen sicher was besseres. Frühstück: Geht so, kein Omelett oder so aber eine Schüssel mit Spiegeleier, Marmelade, Wurst Käse, Gemüse, keine Früchte in ausreichenden Ausmaß vorhanden. Kaffee ist Pulver zum selbermixen mit heißen Wasser.

The hotel was nice, the service excellent and our room spacious and very comfortable. It is very close to a major subway station from where we walked all over Athens. The free breakfast provided both hot and cold choices and was filling. BUT, the noise level from the traffic and people enjoying themselves in this neighborhood were was very high. We were on the third floor with closed windows and air conditioning on and I still couldn’t sleep well due to the noise. My husband slept through it all as he isn’t sensitive to it.

Staff were very friendly, good location for transport and very clean. The area around the hotel is pretty poor but this is not the hotels fault. Our room was quite noisy at night and early in the morning due to traffic and other noise.

The staff was amazing. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants close by and options for taking metro or walking to the Acropolis. The location was good, just a 5 minute walk to the Omonia metro and a 15-20 minute walk to Monastiraki and Plaka neighborhoods. We walked to the Acropolis and its museum one day and to the National Archaeological Museum the next. The museums were not to be missed. The only issue we had at the hotel was the WiFi in our room (405) was very weak and dropped off after 10-15 minutes. The signal was strong in the hallway, so we’d have to walk out to the hall frequently to get the signal back. The manager was apologetic about the WiFi and tried to get it fixed.

Tins surprisingly has larger than the normal rooms that we’ve stayed in Athens. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s a 4 min walk from Omonia station. I’m very particular about showers and they had a rain shower head instead of a handheld ones. For taller people like me this is a plus. Bed was comfortable, bathroom and actually room size was great. Room slippers, shower gel and shampoo was provided which for some is a plus. All in all we enjoyed our short stay at Tins Boutique Suites!

On a beaucoup aimer cet hotel. Le petit point negatif c'est peut etre la clim qui ne marche pas, mais dans l'ensemble tres bien. La réception est top, toujours serviable, et réceptive à toute demande particulière. Une equipe formidable. Le petit dejeuner est complet, varié. Je recommande cet hotel, malgré le quartier d'Omonia sallement réputé. Toutefois on y trouve arret de bus et metro.

The staff was amazing. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants close by and options for taking metro or walking to the Acropolis. The location was good, just a 5 minute walk to the Omonia metro and a 15-20 minute walk to Monastiraki and Plaka neighborhoods. We walked to the Acropolis and its museum one day and to the National Archaeological Museum the next. The museums were not to be missed. The only issue we had at the hotel was the WiFi in our room (405) was very weak and dropped off after 10-15 minutes. The signal was strong in the hallway, so we’d have to walk out to the hall frequently to get the signal back. The manager was apologetic about the WiFi and tried to get it fixed.

Being transparent here. Next to hotel there are people doing drugs and zombie like. I jumped my father in a Taxi to another hotel. When making the claim hotel staff was not flexible, witch is a much as important as transparency. I

Very helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Fenced parking for 7 Euros per day next to hotel. 24 hour front desk. We had a very nice staff.

On a beaucoup aimer cet hotel. Le petit point negatif c'est peut etre la clim qui ne marche pas, mais dans l'ensemble tres bien. La réception est top, toujours serviable, et réceptive à toute demande particulière. Une equipe formidable. Le petit dejeuner est complet, varié. Je recommande cet hotel, malgré le quartier d'Omonia sallement réputé. Toutefois on y trouve arret de bus et metro.

Very nice little hotel. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast buffet. The neigbourhood is not at all nice, but it is easy to get to other areas. Close to metro, and to Athen's great sights!

The staff were lovely and helpful. The property was clean and the breakfast was decent. However, the family suite room had a number of mosquitos and was not soundproofed really well as you could hear every car pass in the middle of the night and people talking on the streets. The hotel was also situated in an unsafe area. Everyday we saw drug addicts shooting up, with the streets surrounding the hotel being littered with used syringes. The reception door to the hotel was kept is also kept locked all day and on one day we saw a person being carried by an ambulance (one can only assume that they had ODed). Obviously this is not the hotel's fault and one cannot fault the staff for this but one to avoid if you are traveling with a family.

Although I like the hotel, staff and breakfast. The daily walk to the hotel was sketchy at best. It's the most well kept building the seedy neighborhood. It was walkable to most tourist sites but the surrounding environment was not pleasant to walk in day or night. Just being honest.

The hotel is well-maintained and clean. The staff is courteous, and they have convenient access to public transportation. The only issue is the neighborhood. It poses a significant safety risk, and the taxi companies that I used to provide transportation corroborated this assessment. Should you wish to take a taxi from the hotel to the train station during early morning or late evening hours, that is an option available to you. All the staffs are super friendly. Rooms are comfortable and it is conveniently located near the Hondo Center which is where the hop on hop off busses are. Yes, it is in a sketchy area but as long as you pay attention, then you will be fine.

The hotel is in a very unsafe area of Athens with people using drugs openly on the streets and with homeless people sleeping on the street very close to the hotel. You need to ring a bell to enter the hotel even during the day! The area is loud in the evening due to drug users arguing or fighting. Staff are great and very helpful. Nice hotel with great staff but in the wrong neighbourhood. Always read the reviews before booking!

They are SERIOUS about safety! Good location, be aware that homeless and hookers are everywhere, but not just near the hotel, it’s Athens. Great and safe parking, extra fees involved. Breakfast was NOT fresh or good.

Le personnel de l'hôtel est très gentil. Mais le petit déjeuner est à revoir : fruits pas du tout frais, les aliments sont remis plusieurs jours d'affilés et ça se voit, le café est transparent et si on veut quelque chose de plus comme du lait chaud ou autre, il faut le demander à chaque fois. Ça serait plus simple de proposer des boissons chaudes dans un thermos. Concernant l'emplacement, l'hôtel se situe dans un quartier très sale. On y trouve des prostituées entre autres. Je ne recommande pas si vous venez avec des enfants. Je ne comprends pas qu'Expedia puisse le proposer !

The hotel was nice, the service excellent and our room spacious and very comfortable. It is very close to a major subway station from where we walked all over Athens. The free breakfast provided both hot and cold choices and was filling. BUT, the noise level from the traffic and people enjoying themselves in this neighborhood were was very high. We were on the third floor with closed windows and air conditioning on and I still couldn’t sleep well due to the noise. My husband slept through it all as he isn’t sensitive to it.

It is a modern building situated in a wrong area. You pass drug addicts injecting themselves. Homeless people occupy the streets making difficult to walk in the streets. The sewage system is so bad that the area stinks and rubbish is everywhere. There is no warm foods for the breakfast. The staff are not serving that made you feel unwelcome. Not ready to replenish the food. Cakes and other savoury foods often from yesterday. Dusty on the floor. Never been mopped.
