We stayed for one night. It’s on a busy, loud street but close your window and you won’t hear anything. Small elevator though. Man at front desk was very nice. Plenty of dining options within walking distance.

The Fountain Hotel was a positive experience! Staff was friendly; "Evi" demonstrated such great customer service! We arrived 5hrs before check in and were told that they would prioritize our room to have it ready and clean early for us, which they did. By the time we returned two hours later, our room was ready, and all luggages were brought upstairs - a total of 6-7 heavy luggage items brought to the third floor using the small elevator. Thank you Evi!!! We were given lots of tips and suggestions on how to best enjoy the local area. The only con was it was a little loud at times during the night but it was to be expected due to such a central location amidst a road of bars and restaurants. Ear plugs were provided in our rooms. The continental breakfast was enjoyable and appreciated by the party I was with. There are a fair amount of local cafes and restaurants to grab treats and meals throughout the day. I recommend the spanakopita at Bougatsadiko Psirri! Thank you The Fountain Hotel and staff; we would stay here again.

Absolutely love the friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early from a cruise and they were able to store our luggage until the room was ready. That gave us the opportunity to be luggage free so we could enjoy the city early in the morning before it got busy. Do not skip the lovely breakfast spread in the morning. They can even make a nice omelet for you. Front desk was super helpful reserving a taxi for us the night before. We loved the unique see through floor and the nice cold air conditioning when it got really hot outside. Would 100% stay here again.

Our stay was superior in every way. The front desk staff were all wonderful and is helpful. They really care! The morning breakfast was tasty and they were so pleasant to deal with. The hotel is well cared for and comfortable. We would definitely recommend to anyone travelling who likes a busy area of town with many night options for food and music. The elevator was not horrible to use and reliable even though it is for really one person at a time. Thanks to all the staff for a great vacation stay. Σας ευχαριστούμε για μια υπέροχη διαμονή

The hotel is small, modern and has a tiny elevator which is helpful with your lugggage. I arrived 30 mins before check-in time and they were very accomodating. Crystal is super friendly and helpful. The bed is so comfy and room has all the amenities. The continental breakfast was good with made-to-order egg dishes.

The staff at the Fountain Athens was fantastic. The rooms are clean and nice. The breakfast was great. The elevator is tiny but the stairs are fine without luggage. Be prepared for loud partying in the front of the hotel until very late.

Unser Zimmer war leider nicht ordentlich gereinigt. Im Bad und dem Bett verwiesene Haare der vorherigen Gäste. Auch nach Reklamation, wurden nicht alle Haare entfernt. Das Frühstück ist ist wirklich sehr einfach. Wenig Auswahl und qualitativ eher Discounter Ware. Der Frühstücksraum ist eine ehemalige Roof Top Bar und einfach/ nicht einladend ausgestattet. Nachts war es bis ca 2 Uhr sehr laut, von der Bar die unterhalb vom Hotel ist. Trotz geschlossener Fenster hörte man die Bässe Was aber wirklich positiv ist, das gesamte Personal war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist sehr gut, alles zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Bahn ist nur ein paar Minuten entfernt.

We love the location of the property and the staff; however, our room did not hit the mark. The concept of the concrete vibe is great but it’s obvious that it hasn’t been properly cleaned. All of the corners and especially the bathroom floor and walls were all horribly dirty. The shower room smelled terribly of mildew and there was an incense holder hidden behind the front door. That was a clear indication to me that they knew it smelled bad. The sheets had stains which I took photos of and so did our bath towels. The breakfast is great and the location is wonderful, but this place needs a deep clean.

We stayed here for four nights during our trip to Athens and absolutely loved it! From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, we felt safe and well cared for. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. The room was well appointed, exceptionally clean and quiet. It was a few minutes walk to the nearest metro station and the Acropolis too. Lots of dining and shopping options nearby. If I'm in Athens again, this hotel will be the place that I stay!

Generally it is great place to stay!!! The staff is more then friendly and service oriented. The hotel is very, very clean and modern, bed was very comfortable, coffee and tea can be prepared in the room, fridge is also available. I enjoed my stay, felt secure and welcome. All the important places to be in Athens can be reached walking in few minutes e.g. Acropolis or Hadrians Library. Metro is 3 min walk away. The street in which the hotel is located contains bars and pubs which opens at the evenings - patries end in the morning espacially on weekends. Therefore it is loud if you get a room located at the street site or you just go down and celebrate with the local people ;) I can really recomend this location - I would definately book it again.

Staff were so good. Free breakfast was much better than we were expecting. Room was clean, modern, and bed was comfy. A little noisy at night, but not ridiculous (unless you're super sensitive). Appreciated the blackout curtains. Good, quiet A/C. The only things didn't quite like about the room were that the shower floor wasn't sloped enough, so the water pooled before draining and sometimes smells came up from the drain, but neither was crazy bad - just noticeable. We actually really liked it and wished we could have extended our stay there.

We stayed at The Fountain Athens for 5nights at the beginning of April. We cannot fault anything! Communication prior to arrival was excellent and the hotel helped set us up with transfers on our arrival into Athens airport. The room itself was very quirky and modern and set over 2 levels and had everything we could possibly need, including complimentary bottled water each day. The whole hotel was very clean. The breakfasts were freshly made to order and something to look forward to every day. Every single member of staff at the front desk could not have been more friendly or helpful. Always happy to give advice and ideas. They helped set us up with transfers back to the airport and even let us keep on our room until our pick up time. The location of the hotel is excellent! So many bars and restaurants from right next door. In our room we heard no noise at all considering it was such a busy area. This is the only place we would stay if we return to Athens. Top rate service!

The hotel is excellent, with a great location and a very, very kind and attentive staff. The rooms are clean and beautiful. However, there were two issues — the hot water ran out in the shower, which seems to be a recurring problem at the hotel, and the location is extremely noisy. Other than that, it's an excellent hotel.

Location is great as is the front desk staff! Rooms are clean and modern. But, the property needs some attention. My shower didn\'t work at all, and since I discovered it in the wee hours no one was there to address the issue. I stayed in the hotel a week earlier and came back during a rain storm to water dripping from the bathroom ceiling. I highly suggest avoiding the "Premium Suite". Though it has extra square feet, they are divided between two floors which doesn\'t actually make the room feel more spacious. Plus, the stairs that are required to access the bedroom and the ONLY bathroom, are scary, at least for someone not so sure on their feet in the middle of the night. And, the glass floor in the bedroom is erry to say the least. It\'s a very creepy feeling to step out of bed onto a glass panel affixed 10 feet above the kitchen. It seems like someone got carried away in their college design class. Unless you must have a kitchen I would avoid this room.

A great basic place to stay at, ver close to a metro station. This is why I chose it. The lay out of the rooms are a bit strange, but the staff and the service is stellar. They gave me a different vacant room to sleep in when the AC in my room broke down. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. I would stay there again due to the convenient location and would tolerate the night life noise that at least in my room was not too bad and I could sleep. I did not even use the earplugs they provided. The insulation is quite good

The hotel was located near the acropolis. The room was very spacious, it actually was two stories, with a living room and kitchen and refrigerator on the first floor and the bedroom, bathroom, closet and another living area with a couch and coffee table. The floor under the coffee table was made with glass so you could look down into the kitchen. The ladies that worked at the desk were so helpful with suggestions on where to eat and things to see. They even made us a breakfast box for each of us because we had an early morning flight. They were wonderful! I would definitely stay here again if visiting Athens.

The front desk was helpful and understanding. After a long flight, the front desk was able to check us into our room a few hours earlier than excepted. Everything is walking distance from the hotel. All the staff are amazing, friendly and willing to help. Just ask they know the places where you want to go. The breakfast is very good. If you cannot make the breakfast due to early schedule they provide takeaway boxes.

The best thing about this hotel is the reception staff- they are the nicest reception staff I’ve met. Really keen to help, nothing was too much trouble, very chatty. One day I asked for some of their breakfast cake in my breakfast box and they helpfully provided it. They also answer their emails very quickly. Only thing is breakfast is served quite late so if doing day trips you miss out on this, but do get a box.

I stayed in Athens as I participated in the marathon, this hotel is in walking distance to one of the pick up locations and close to a metro to get back from the finish. The area it is in is very Shoreditch, London. It has a lot of small bars and restaurants of which are open into the early hours. A word of warning there is a club somewhere that was open and pumping loud music well up to 4am, so if you’re a light sleeper you can use the earplugs provided. The hotel itself is great and the room very spacious and had all the amenities you need, kettle, coffee machine, fridge, good sized bathroom and huge bed. The staff were brilliant and very helpful even being able to accommodate me with a late check out. I will certainly be booking here again.

The Fountain Athens was our first stay of a 6 stop trip around Greece and we couldn’t have imagined a more welcoming first hotel. The staff were truly the most kind and friendly we encountered on the whole trip - they made us feel cared about and like we were part of a small community. I really can’t say enough nice things about the staff, especially the main daytime front desk staff member, in particular. She truly went above and beyond the entire time. The hotel is in a great location, close to all the bars and places to eat. The room was extremely clean and spacious as well. We’d loved our time here and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area!!

Our stay at The Fountain Athens was great. The staff was so accommodating when we arrived early for check-in and allowed us to stow our bags while we toured the city. Best staff at any hotel we’ve ever stayed in. My mom broke her foot 2 days into our vacation and they helped setup medical care and were very accommodating with her crutches and scooter. We had an early morning excursion planned and they had breakfast boxes prepared for us the night before. They setup taxis to and from the airport as well. Hotel itself was very nice and modern and the beds were comfy! 10/10 would recommend and would stay again

Crystal is downright amazing. After an almost 16 hour journey from LA dragging 2 suitcases from the metro to the hotel, we could not have asked for a better welcome and a friendlier face. The hotel itself is located convenient to shopping, dining, and all the attractions in downtown Athens (Monastiraki square) - which we discovered thanks to Crystal's enthusiasm to help craft the perfect itinerary. We enjoyed the free Netflix and because we had early mornings every single day we were there, breakfast boxes would be waiting for us the night before. The location in Psiri was great - we walked easily e.g. to the Akropolis, market and city gardens. The nightlife was right outside in the street! Metro took us easily to Pireus port and Airport. To the beach we needed metro and tram, so the trip took an hour each way. Hotel staff was super nice, friendly and helpful - they alone make the hotel worth picking! The two-story room was spacious and pretty clean. Air conditioning worked well but the glass floor The breakfast was quite limited and basic: some yoghurt, apple, bread and cake.

Amazing location, very conveniently located close to the Monastiraki station (less than 5 minutes), Acropolis (15 minutes), Plaka (10 minutes), and lots of restaurants. It can get loud at night because of the nightlife scene, but nothing awful and earplugs are provided. Highly recommend and the staff is so kind and helpful!

The perfect location for a culture-filled short stay in Athens' coolest neighborhood. I was a bit wary when I arrived because the hotel is located in a narrow lane which almost felt like an alley during the daytime. At night, the lane morphs into a fantastic cafe community attracting locals and visitors. Lots of great people watching and food options. Awesome hotel for young travel enthusiasts!

We stayed here for four nights during our trip to Athens and absolutely loved it! From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, we felt safe and well cared for. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. The room was well appointed, exceptionally clean and quiet. It was a few minutes walk to the nearest metro station and the Acropolis too. Lots of dining and shopping options nearby. If I'm in Athens again, this hotel will be the place that I stay!

Unser Zimmer war leider nicht ordentlich gereinigt. Im Bad und dem Bett verwiesene Haare der vorherigen Gäste. Auch nach Reklamation, wurden nicht alle Haare entfernt. Das Frühstück ist ist wirklich sehr einfach. Wenig Auswahl und qualitativ eher Discounter Ware. Der Frühstücksraum ist eine ehemalige Roof Top Bar und einfach/ nicht einladend ausgestattet. Nachts war es bis ca 2 Uhr sehr laut, von der Bar die unterhalb vom Hotel ist. Trotz geschlossener Fenster hörte man die Bässe Was aber wirklich positiv ist, das gesamte Personal war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist sehr gut, alles zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Bahn ist nur ein paar Minuten entfernt.

Crystal and Tao on reception were amazing! So helpful and gave us honest advice on where to go and what to see. The happiness they illuminated was second to none. The friendliness and respect were beautiful. The hotel is located in a prime location with many bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as main attractions. Hotel was clean and spacious. The one thing i would say is the breakfast buffet was very minimal with hardly any choices. But it was ok as the location of this hotel was perfect. Definitely recommend this hotel and i would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was superior in every way. The front desk staff were all wonderful and is helpful. They really care! The morning breakfast was tasty and they were so pleasant to deal with. The hotel is well cared for and comfortable. We would definitely recommend to anyone travelling who likes a busy area of town with many night options for food and music. Staff were super helpful and made us feel welcome. One thing that was not so good was that the breakfast started at 0830 and finished at 11. We were out early every day and so only option was to take a packed lunch that they provided. It worked but we generally eat out when possible.

We expected more of the hotel and was not that pleased with the overall experience, room, breakfast etc, was not 4-star (to us). Central area but on a bar-street that didn’t feel very safe unfortunately. And as previously mentioned by guests, very noisy at night.
