Esplanade Hotel

Nicely positioned hotel for what we needed. Comfortable room though a little warm at night as the supplied fan wasn't up to the job. All staff very accommodating. The pool was a little cool for us. Loveley seating in the reception area watching Fistral beach .Overall a nice hotel and the 2nd visit for us . Parking difficult as the whole road was full due to half term.

Great place for families. Clean rooms, soft play, outside play, swimming pool, cinema and milk and cookies at night. Book breakfast as there is no where near by to eat. Also pre-book parking as the free parking outside is taken up by beach goers.

It's in a great spot. The only thing that we didn't like is that the pool was very dirty.

Absolutely lovely experience! We loved the play areas for children, the pool and sauna and the different bars and eating areas! The mini cinema for children was a good touch.

Lovely location and the room was fantastic. Breakfast was good. The pool was dirty with lots of hairs floating around in it. The staff kept complaining it was too busy because it’s half term and it didn’t feel very welcoming. But apart for these things a great hotel for families.

No AC in the family room! Dust everywhere on the walls etc. Carpets musty damp and stained Curtain rod fell off in room I had an immunocompromised Toddler with me so we are particular about these things and safety. Jacuzzi dirty Furniture outside in balcony broken! Honestly the key system for reserved parking is a joke we were expecting a specific spot but it's open to park in any spot after unlocking the bar. Food was OK, breakfast decent Pool was fun soft play was great Cleaning crew friendly Mid Night check in was great and smooth Location is decent We dint pick the cheapest hotel so was quite disappointed over all

The facilities were excellent, the staff were very helpful, kids activity and pool were a hit with children, even the people who were staying at the hotel were very friendly. The breakfast service was exceptional apart from one morning, we was 5 mins late and was told they close for breakfast at 10.30pm and refused us hot breakfast but could help ourselves to some cereal and cold breakfast. Maybe the hotel should refrain from taking booking for 10.30am breakfast. Claudia (management) was very helpful and always greeted you with a smile. Be careful that your not late checking out because then that smile turns into frustration as you will be threatened with a fine for being late, but she did help us check out quickly by taking our luggages downstairs. Parking spaces are tight for large vehicles. Cinema room had a damp smell and the lift was temperamental at times also had a fishy smell. These are only minor hiccups but that can be fixed easily. My family had the best time and will always recommend my friends and family to go and stay at the Esplanade. I am already thinking about booking for next year. Thank you all the staff at the esplanade.

My daughters and I stayed in early Aug. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are comfortable and the indoor pool is lovely. You’re opposite Fistral Beach, the surf hire shop next door is ideal. Parking is not great, make sure you pre-book or you’re in trouble! The food at Breakfast is Ok but nothing special. The staff were excellent, very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We’d definitely go back, but only if the parking was pre-booked.

Hotel is in a great location, the staff at check in were extremely helpful and the facilities are great for families. Lots to do to keep the little ones entertained including the pool, cinema and play areas. Kids were so excited to have their own drinks tray in the room and bathrobes for the pool. Only one grumble, the breakfast was a fixed price, so not great value if your kids are fussy. Will most certainly be looking to book another trip here with the family.

Lovely hotel and the room was spacious and clean. There were two issues, however: 1. The room was very hot at night and, apart from the door leading out to the patio, no way of cooling it down. 2. Very, very limited parking spaces. The road outside had free parking spaces but always seemed to be full with cars belonging to people visiting the beach.

We had a wonderful stay in a gorgeous room with the best sea view we’ve ever had! The room was so clean and in excellent condition. A couple of things I’d like to see improved would be separating the kids play area from the eating area during mealtimes because it felt at times like we were sat in a crèche. I have children myself who are teens now, but even when they were younger I would not have allowed them to scream and run about whilst people are trying to enjoy their meal. There is a partition there, it’s just left open across the whole room! So it would be great if this was pulled across or if there was a separate dining time when the play area is open and at other times it could be closed. I was also pleased to see so many gluten free options as my son and I are coeliac. I wouldn’t recommend the roasted cauliflower steak however, as that was a slither of cauliflower, a quarter of an onion and a few potatoes! All white with no green veg and £15! They did change the meal for me and the sea bass was delicious. The table staff were really lovely. Especially the lovely lady with blue hair whose name I didn’t get, sorry! She’s only just started but she was so friendly and helpful. The pool is small and a little cold, and the water in the hot tub was brown! The steam room and changing facilities were great. I love the reception area and the dining room view! Simply stunning. Overall we would stay again but definitely not during the kids holidays!

Had a great 3 night stay, staff are all so genuinely nice, friendly and helpful.We parked easily and left the car until checkout as can walk everywhere.Room was spotless as was everywhere in hotel and the swimming pool,hot tub and sauna was an unexpected treat we had to ourselves early each morning .Really cannot fault anything and will definitely be back.It’s in the best area to see the best of that part of the coast and the walk from there to Perranporth is stunning

Hotel was beautiful and clean. All the staff where very friendly, food was great with a great view of the beach. Only down side was the temperature of the room, we had a none sea view room (119) and it was really hot in the middle of the night. We had the door and window wide open with a fan on, both my kids where very sweaty and I had to get up twice to go stand outside in the middle of the night.

The reception team was very friendly. The rooms are very small compared to what they look in pictures. The bed was very uncomfortable however the view was great if you wish to take Seaview room. Parking is a major problem if you want to park at hotel only have 11 spaces which are usually packed. Cars parked on double yellow and very narrow street Breakfast was average not much options and same menu everyday

Really good hotel, great views, good food options and comfortable cocktail bar and outside sun terrace. Only downside is no air con in the rooms which made them very warm (after a sunny day at 20 degrees.

Perfect location for Fistral Beach and surfing. Our family room was spacious with a terrace with a sea view which was lovely. The reception staff were faultless providing all the information you need about checking in and dealt with every question we had flawlessly. The lobby area is lovely to relax in and have a well-earned rest after a day out. The restaurant serves good food and has a good range of breakfast options.. and that leads me onto the restaurant team. Halo and his team are wonderful. Very attentive, very funny, very helpful - they turned a potentially stressful day due to an injury into a memorable one. Absolutely recommend the hotel to equally adults or families alike. We will be returning!

We had a lovely time. It was our second time staying at the hotel. We love how close it is to the beach. Our son (6) lived the pool and the cinema. Our room could have been bigger, not enough room for our clothes and wet beach towels to dry. The cove restaurant is very pricey for avarge food options. Staff is very friendly.

Beautiful location, friendly staff who are trying their best to help, the room was clean, and the food was nice. Things that need improvement: the lift is very small, jerky and making sounds that made us feel that it might has got stuck every time we used it, so we avoided it despite the fact that we had a 70+ years old person who does struggle with stairs. This is the only hotel we came across with in the last few years which doesn't have USB outlets and air conditioners. In a way it was our fault for bringing just the leads with us. Luckily, the receptionist was able to find a plug with USB, which we could borrow. The main discomfort was the absence of the air conditioner. The weather was quite hot, so we could really feel it. We did open the window, but not too wide as it was not very straight, so I was worried it will break if I try to open it any wider. Our room looked at the back, so there wasn't much breeze coming in. It did not help that when we tried to use the shower for the first time, only boiling hot water was running no matter what we did. It turned the whole room into a sauna until a security guy got it sorted. It was already evening, and he happened to be around the reception, and was very helpful. Overall, I think it's a very good hotel in a stunning location, and nice staff. If you use it in a cool weather, have your USB charger with a plug, and not too worried about the lifts, you will have a wonderful time. We just seem to be a bit unlucky this time.

The hotel didn't have the lifts working had to walk all to the second floor with kids and luggage. Didnt have the wifi working or the phones Parking was the main issue, paid for two nights parking but was told someone else took so unable to provide any solution. Breakfast is basic. Housekeeping staffs are polite and helpful.

Stayed here a few times - always brilliant. On this occasion food service was very slow (1hr from ordering to arriving) even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Great place, great hotel, lovely pool and friendly staff.

The Restaurant staff in the evening acted as if ours and other customers presence was an inconvenience. It took 10 minutes to be seated in a half empty room, then a further 10 minutes before being asked for drinks which we were never given a drinks menu. A further 10 minutes after that we were then asked for drinks again and we had decided food so ordered food. The food came out in reasonable time but still no drinks for 5 minutes after food had arrived. Food was good but the service ruined the dining experience. The room we had was fine but the noise outside of the rooms was definitely known. At about 11pm the people staying above arrived back and you could hear them having a shower right above our heads with the water hitting the bottom of the bath. Kids being told off outside our room at 6am trying to open our room door. With the beds not being the comfiest either it was a sleepless night really. Parking outside is minimal and you have to park out on the road trying to get a space while the general public want the spaces too. Had to wait around 20 minutes for a space to become available. It’s a shame really because what was supposed to be a relaxing night away was not really that pleasant.

Great staff made to feel really welcome. We would happily stay here again to take advantage of the surfing schools nearby. Whilst we didn't have breakfast the food looked incredible and it was only a short walk into town to have an evening meal. Again lots of options for evening meal and very happy with our stay overall.

This is a nice, friendly place for families with small children who want to enjoy the beach. Breakfast was expensive. Staff is excellent. Beautiful views of Fistral Beach, but not a luxurious hotel.

Tired tiny rooms that are overpriced. Kids running everywhere little insulation between floors means youre woken in the early hours. Fridge in room was warm/not working and view was a nasty courtyard but still so expensive. Fine if your a family but avoid for couples or business . Long walk to town but good for beach. Little or no pArking

Not as good as our first trip. Bolts were loose in kids bunk beds. Shower needed repair. Staff were helpfull to resolve, but both issues should not have happened. 2 meals were very good, but the steak was poorly done, asked for medium and got rare. Location is great though, and facilities are good overall. We may return for a 3rd mini break, unsure
