A lovely weekend in a brilliantly situated hotel. Not right in the middle of all the pubs and nightlife, but easily in walking distance. Room was clean and tidy on arrival and the promised sea view was stunning. There was a small stain on the carpet in the room but didn’t impact on our stay. Bed was clean, comfortable and the shower and the bathroom were excellent. Hallways, fittings and carpets are quite dated and showing wear and tear but wasn’t an issue for us, though cleaning staff should store their Henry vacuum cleaner away from public walkways and stairs. Concierge was friendly and helpful, always greeted and acknowledged us when coming and going and asked if we needed anything. Parking reservation was sorted before arrival so we had no issues finding somewhere to park. Restaurant was not open and we felt that the breakfast was a bit pricey, but this just encouraged us to go out and see the local food places. Excellent location for access to the beach, the main town, the harbour, pubs, clubs etc. would recommend this hotel for anybody wanting a decent home base for a long weekend in Newquay, and will definitely stay again if available on our next visit.

Whilst I had a balcony room, the balcony hadn’t had previous guests bottles cleared away. Bed was clean - generally room felt a bit grimy. Tap was disgusting. No towels. Hotel feels generally dirty and run down. £15 for a small bottle of beer and a bottle of cider

Very little interaction with staff. Didn’t tell me where to find my room. Expected me to have an email with room code. Which didn’t arrive.

Hotel was very aged, carpets leading up to the room were brown instead of the baby blue original color. Rooms very small and toilet also. Mattress and pass it sell by date as you could fill every spring in it. Wouldn't use hotel again.
