Signage in adjoining car park said pay when you park.. but it didn’t allow you to pay for extended stay greater than 12 hours. Spoke to reception who explained the signs are for other users of the car park, not hotel guests. A simple sign up in the car park, or even just details of this on booking confirmation would have helped a load of confusion. Staff were friendly. Lights under bed turn off without motion (worked out eventually after not finding a light switch at night to turn the lights off!) but they are quite bright, so when one of you sneaks to the bathroom in the night the lights come up bright- disturbing for the person who is still trying to sleep! It would be good to disable this feature if you wanted to. Bed comfy, curtains shut out the light well. Bedroom and bathroom clean. Breakfast - cold selection good. Disappointing hot buffet, especially if you’re a vegetarian.

Really nice hotel. I hadnt’t stayed in any of the more fashionable trendy hotel chains , but I enjoyed it more than my last stay at a Hilton Garden - Super friendly staff-was able to order food at the bar and take it up to the room, fantastically designed rooms, felt safe as needed room key to use lifts. Room was clean and had everything needed. Breakfast was exceptional, loved the music instrument themed decor and things to do in the bar and lobby, table football etc, umbrella hire was great and that pets are welcome and they even had their own treat and toy bar for dogs. Moxy will certainly be at the top of my go to hotel list in future.

Attending a concert at the Hydro, The Moxy proved to be the perfect venue. Check in was quick and friendly, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was decent too. Unfortunately 2/3 lifts were out if action.

Hotel clean with a comfortable bed. Not a huge room but plenty of space. The bar had a great vibe and the cocktails were good, as was the pizza. Great location for the hydro only a couple minutes walk away. Car park behind the hotel is handy. Remember to have your parking ticket validated at the hotel to reduce the parking charge.

Excellent stay. Clean and funky surroundings. Excellent access to ovo and secc as well as town and local area. Only issue is the parking. Even with discount from hotel its £12 a night. Hadnt realised it didnt have its own car park which is my fault

First time staying, great quick checkin , lovely modern room lots of lighting options comfy beds . Great bar & lounge are had food tasty and reasonable sml menu of pizzas and chips tortillas. Pool table and other things to do , board games books etc. Sml tuck shop available 24 hours and also Dog friendly hotel with treats for dog and other things you may need for them staying over. Definitely be back

The Moxy is ideally placed when going to a concert at the SEC, less than 5 minutes from the venue. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a good bar (with a cocktail on arrival) and the rooms and clean and well equipped for a short stay. The car park directly beside the hotel has discounted rates.

Second time stay here. Great value for money as always. Staff are always lovely. Only marked down a star as no free parking - even subsidised it’s £12 and there was some questionable stains on the hallway carpets as going to / leaving room.

Room was impeccably clean, possibly the cleanest bathroom of all of my hotel stays! Well stocked toiletries. Good lighting options and particularly liked the auto under bed lighting if you get up in the middle of the night. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. Comfortable bed with good pillows. The rooms were spotlessly clean, very compact but really modern. Loved the light around the bed especially in the middle of the night. Breakfast was okay, just the area around the bar where you would get food and drinks was not exactly clean. For a Marriott hotel, you'd have expected a wee bit better.

Great location, five mins walk to OVO Hyrdo, and pleasant walk into city centre. Double glazing in room very effective in shutting noise from traffic out completely. Room small but fine, would have benefited from shelves to put clothing as we were staying for three nights. Breakfast good choice and hot. Staff all very pleasant.

Lots of good points, but some really bizarre choices made it very hard to sleep - the temperature was way too hot and a little notice said our only option was to open the window (which wasn't really an option with the traffic noise) and there was a bright motion sensitive light under the bed that couldn't be switched off.

Stayed 3 nights. Great location for SEC, good public spaces and decent gym. Staff all really helpful. Breakfast was ok. Room on the basic side, lacks furniture/storage etc.. main issue is that the rooms are heated at night and cooled in the day - apparently it’s how Moxy set the temperature. Unfortunately this means the rooms are far too hot to get decent nights sleep. There is a sign that says to turn it off and open the window, but the hotel is on a busy road so you are kept awake by traffic noise. Maintenance chap was really helpful, but system is too simple to change this day (cooling) night (heating) programme. Would stay again if they can fix this

We were only provided with one pillow each it took us asking 3 times to get them. Beds comfy. The room was aesthetically pleasing but not practical, nowhere to unpack no drawers, shelves,wardrobe only 4 hangers on a tiny hook. A tiny glass shelf by the bed but not with a UK plug, limited UK plugs. A small area for tea and coffee. No where to put make up, laptop etc. Staff were friendly.

Great for a night or two for an event at the SECC but wouldn't stay longer than that. We stayed for 4 nights and a lack of clothing storage made it really difficult. The staff were really helpful from check in to breakfasts. Main lobby downstairs smelt really damp though so went home with a lot of our clothes and jackets smelling weird. Room was clean and well presented but not suitable for a long stay.

Staff fantastic , really happy and helpful . We needed directions for station the helped us so much . Room pristine and very comfortable . I don’t usually sleep well in hotels but we slept so well we missed breakfast . We made sure we didn’t the second night and it was excellent so much choice . The location is also great for trains and ovo hydro - thanks for a great stay .

Check in was sufficient, there wer crisp all over the hallway and no sign of clear up. Service at the bar was terrible, unprofessional and quite frankly unacceptable for a hotel.....the server couldn't even operate the soft drink dispenser. Obvious that they were either not bothered about their jobs, or that they were woefully under prepared for the role.

Arrived early as I was attending meetings, staff couldn’t have been more helpful, I was hoping to leave my bag & case with them but they checked the room was ready, it was, and they let me check in early, nothing was to much trouble, excellent customer service all round.

Conveniently located and great place with a fun vibe. Staff was excellent- very customer focused. We arrived early and were able to check in. Place is very clean. Breakfast was nicely done with lots of choices. What I really loved though was how great the entire staff was. I got the impression that everyone goes above and beyond. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Excellent hotel with very comfy beds, clean and tidy. The breakfast however is shockingly bad. Toaster didnt work one morning, only hot breakfast is scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon and baked beans. I've stayed at Moxy hotels before with better breakfasts so this one needs to up its game.

Room was small, but had everything needed. Couldn’t open window, and It was warm, so would have liked to have been able to open window. Lovely friendly staff and lovely reception area. Enjoyed the fuse ball and the pool table. Great central location

We liked the relaxed atmosphere & smart room. Bathroom a bit small but well equipped. Breakfast was good value but would have like more bread options. Lots of pastries & cakes but no mixed grain/ brown bread. Only strawberry jam no choice of conserve. Good coffee👍

My nights stay at the Moxy SEC was very easy going. Check in was easy and quick. My room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and what I really liked was, when I closed the curtains it was dark. I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was superb.

A change from our usual accommodation. Very casual. Room clean, good shower, helpful lighting during night. Comfy bed and pillows.tea making difficult due to lack of a surface and electric point. The major downside is the menu for dinner, and minimal choice at buffet breakfast.

Hotel accommodation was good, straightforward checkin, room no view but fine for one night. Clean and hot drinks a bonus However, the food we ordered for dinner was awful. I think every bit was microwaved. Not really busy but waited 40 mins for it too. Would stay here again but would never eat here again
