The Oakhurst Inn at Yosemite

Check in went well. Room is nice. But sad the hot tub didn’t work.

The motel is relatively close to Wawona entrance (Yosemite national park). Nice the pool and hot tub, both outside of the property. Not too many sign available outside to find the reception desk. Service was ok, breakfast is good and included in the price

Nice property, close to Yosemity Park, many many restaurants nearby. Too much chlorine in the pool and hot tub, I hope that they will fix it.

The pictures are deceptive. This hotel is very outdated. We picked it because of the jacuzzi and it did not work

excellent location right off hwy 41; breakfast was good, however, every limited seating. The Tesla superchargers are hidden in the back of the hotel were very convenient to charge before heading into Yosemite and re-charging before heading home.

It was in great proximity to Yosemite as well as to dining and food options. It is 2 stories with no elevator which is a consideration for some people. It could use a little cosmetic work, but everything was functional.

They could use someone to clean up around pool area and Ice machines.

This was a great 1 night stay before heading to Yosemite! The staff was nice, the room was large for us and clean! The air-conditioning was cold and great. The breakfast in the morning was nice! They do have Tesla superchargers on the property, which was so convenient. We were a 3 minute drive from many restaurants, grocery stores and fast food places. I would stay here again!

This hotel is average, as expected for the cost. We noticed some minor issues with the cleaning, as the rug needed shampooing; however, overall, it was passable. They have a continental breakfast of waffles, eggs, etc., which is a good start to the day. The pool was also refreshing for a nighttime dip after visiting Yosemite.

This was probably one of the dirtiest places I have ever stayed. My kids and I did not feel safe as the door wouldn't even lock. Came back from getting water and there was a cockroach by the door. Shower had debri all over it probably from the ceiling fan. Floors were stained and overall dirty. I felt more comfortable sleeping in my car. Tub was clogged and the toilet was broke; told the staff and she said she would let someone know.

There were insects on the bed not sure what kind but they looked like fleas, they bit me all over my legs and they sticked onto my dogs fur. I accidentally booked this hotel I meant to book a different one but I misread the name and it was probably the worst decision I could’ve possibly made. Upon arriving my first initial reaction was that it looked dirty but I was going to give it a chance plus they wouldn’t let me cancel my reservation but it’s ok I checked in went to my room and it looked ok nothing great but it was going to do. That night I woke up multiple times because my legs were itchy and it wasn’t until the next morning that I realized I had bumps all over my upper thighs and all over my legs. I searched the bed and sure enough I saw little bugs crawling under the blankets… Worst hotel ever…

Comfortable, quiet & spotlessly clean hotel. Located in safe area & easy to locate. Definitely would stay there again. Thanks especially to Cindy for her professionalism & welcome upgrade of our room. A very nice gesture.

There was a dead cockroach on the floor by the sink, so all I could think about is if there were more. Overall, it was a get what you pay for experience. Nothing special, rooms could use updating a better cleaning.

It is a clean hotel which matters! So i would recommend.

Older hotel but very clean and large room.

There was a bug in the bed Requesting refund as we were not thrre but 10 minutes.

The room was tired. The sheet clean but the bedspread looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The carpet also looked very dirty. We didn’t have breakfast there as it didn’t look very inviting.

Room was dirty, bugs crawling and cockroaches in the sink.

Hotel was okay, clean, quiet and in a good area. The water pressure was horrible but besides that it was a good stay.

Room was of decent size, but it seemed outdated. Even bathroom seemed outdated. The bathroom door didn't have hook to hang the clothes. Breakfast had some decent options. Also there is not enough sound proofing of the unit above, so if you're staying in units below then good luck.

The room was not bed, but the sheets didnt smell fresh and the coffee pot had been used and not cleaned. The door would not lock. The bathroom seat was terrible! I tried to call the front desk and it wouldnt even dial it.

Good location, quiet and comfortsble

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. King bed was good. Bathroom toilet was small and set low. I'm not a huge fan of direct outdoor entry. (less secure)

2 stars are due to amenities and conditions. There was limited wifi as only one of us could connect to wifi. I overheard another person also complaining. There were issues with the regular cable with half the channels having no sound. The phone was not working at all. The staff was unable to resolve the wifi and cable as the hotel was in the middle of service changes. Staff stated they were going to have maintenance take a look yet it was not resolved. Overall the staff was courteous yet the motel was average.

The room was good size but older and needs some improvements. It was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was Okay but kinda far from Yosemite Village about an hour drive.

The shower has weak water pressure, the toilet is old, and the refrigerator doesn’t close properly and makes noise.

The room was big and clean. The only drawback for me is the lighting in the room was less than adequate.

We stayed here to visit Yosemite National Park, much like many of the families there, including many international guests. It's about an hour drive to Yosemite with a straightforward route. This hotel covered our basic needs for the most part. It's a safe place to sleep that was relatively clean. There's also plenty of parking on the property. The free breakfast was decent too. There are also good restaurants nearby (Indian & BBQ). The blackout curtains were appreciated during both day and night for privacy. The soundproofing between rooms was decent as well. Despite the family next door singing seemingly loudly, they could only be heard if there's no noise from our side such as the sound of the shower, but even then, they weren't disturbing. Sounds from the families enjoying the pool outside the rooms could be heard more than from adjacent rooms, though that wasn't much of an issue as it was the normal amount of noise from children. An area to improve on would be ensuring that all of the electrical outlets work. There were a couple of them that did not work. The hair dryer also was not working. Another area for improvement would be the lighting. The light by the window and entrance is harsh yet dim. The harshness may be due to the tone of the light's color being cool. A less cool tone for a more natural white tone and a diffuser like a lamp shade to spread the light more evenly would improve this. The rest of the lights were fine. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.

Decent hotel, however, zero room service provided with a 3 night stay including not taking out the room trash. Room was comfortable but the furniture has been well loved. Saturday night was loud, including multiple car alarms going off from 11p-2a. Not the hotel’s fault but be aware of the folks that stay here.

The front desk was poor, they should have charged my brother for his own room. In the morning they all but ignored me. So unfriendly. Breakfast was mediocre. TV would not work, even with the front desk telling me what to do. My brother had same experience. Stupid.

Besides the room is clean, I am very impressed with the kindness of all people who work there. First of all, Belinda, who works at the front desk is phenomenal. She was very helpful and resourceful in helping us. Our car was broken and she provided tremendous help in finding resources so our car was fixed and we could drive back home. Breakfast was awesome, it was simple but food tastes good, love the omelet. If you are looking for an affordable place with best customer service close to Yosemite area, definitely consider Oakhurst Inn!

Upon arrival and check out, Isabelle at the front desk was friendly and efficient. Angel, the young man preparing the free breakfast made sure the dining area was clean, well stocked and delicious. Jack was on duty caring for the pool and hot tub and he answered questions with a quick smile and awesome personality. With staff like these, I will stay here every time I visit this area.

The room was beautiful and the bed most comfortable. The staff had been a delight and gave great recommendations on places to eat. Quick stop on our way to Yosemite for a day of hiking. I highly recommend The Oakhurst Inn.

I have delayed in reviewing but decided to - the room was good and in a great location but the young lady at the Front check-in - in the afternoon was so rude. Not just when I checked in but when I told her I had a problem with our TV She rudely told me I had said not to allow anyone into or room - which i didn't do. Th other woman at the desk had to correct her and she did not apologize. Customer service is not her thing.

Accidentally left some papers in the room. Staff went out of their way to help us recover the items. Also really enjoyed the provided breakfast.

Night staff when I checked in was extremely nice and helpful. Checked with morning staff about leaving my car there as we were doing a Yosemite tour, she was very. Breakfast starts at 7 a.m. which I knew when I made the reservation. A 6:30 a.m. time would be nice since it's a Yosemite tour pickup hotel which picks up at 7 a.m. When we finished the tour at 5 p.m. evening staff wouldn't let my wife who walks with a cane use the lobby bathroom. Stated it was against their policy, and she could walk next door to the Seven Elven. Be interesting to know if that's really a policy. Everything else was great.

Good location before entering the Yosemite park

The location is great for going to Yosemite. The rooms were very clean. The staff very friendly. I would stay again and recommend to others.

Great hotel near to supermarket, gas stations and 30 min from Park entrance

I needed a base hotel for our two days in Yosemite. This hotel was perfect. It wasn't fancy or new, but homey, clean, and friendly. It reminded me of the local hotels I used to visit with my parents traveling when I was younger. I was fully satisfied with my choice!!! Good breakfast too!!

We wanted a location that was close to travel to the Yosemite Valley. It was about 30 to 40 minutes to the gate. Breakfast was in 8 out of 10 but it is always nice to be able to have something to eat before getting out on the road. I would stay here again. Beds were comfortable and the price was reasonable.

Oakhurst Inn is located a 20+ minute drive from the southern/Wawona entrance of Yosemite. Staff here were attentive and helpful, despite the end of the overwhelming summer tourist season (same cannot be said of Yosemite National Park staff). EXCELLENT room and wonderful free breakfast, tended to by dedicated staff who maintained cleanliness and well-stocked selections.

They offer breakfast, but by eight it was all gone and they didn’t bring anything else, terrible since that is one of their selling points.

Overall excellent stay. Comfortable bed, large size room. Breakfast was good except they need to replace the coffee machine since you would get a cup of coffee with partially dissolved instant coffee crystals in it!

Would've rated higher but the hot tub was not working and the breakfast area was unfortunately so busy there was no where to sit. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

I booked this hotel a bit late for a race there. The hotel look great in photos, in person it’s a dump. This place was not cheap to stay but everything about this place was cheap and awful. Their coffee was water down, breakfast area chairs all had stains, the breakfast not fit for humans consumption. They should be ashamed to run a business like this. If you like low level accommodation, it’s the place to be. It’s really difficult to judge a place based on photos but this one is a place to stay away from. This is a low class hotel at a high price. Their internet connection is slower than molasses.

We’ve stayed here before and will stay again in the future. The rooms are very clean, quiet, and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was the typical fare but it was almost all carbs. It would be nice to have fresh fruit, yogurts, something relatively healthy. But we will be back.

Would be fantastic to have the breakfast open at 6AM to avoid the rush at the opening of the breakfast at 7AM + the rush at the entrance of Yosemite National Park…

Oakhurst Inn was a good value for the price. The rooms were clean but a bit bland. Breakfast was good, but there is not enough seating, both indoors and outdoors, for when the place is fully booked. However, you can take the food to your room. My only real complaint is the low water pressure for the shower, low pressure even for California.
