Room was fabulous. Very clean and bed was great. Bathroom was clean and shower good/ hot water great. Needs a shelf or some type of station in shower to hold soap/shampoo and conditioner off of floor. Room comes with a coffee maker but didn't come with coffee or coffee cups. Minor things but it would be helpful to the traveler.

The beds were comfortable. The place was quiet and most importantly the rooms were CLEAN. The pictures on Google are not reflective of what the rooms look like now. We received an updated room and it was more modern. Waking up to walk to the beach was lovely. Would stay again

The staff was very good, however the maid service was bad. We had to find someone to get us towels for the next day. Never came and empty garbage or striaghten up. The worse thing was the wifi was only good if you went outside to use it. It went off as soon as you got in your room. . Loved being near the water. Beautiful view.

Booked this place based on the rating and many positive comments. As many commented, it is relatively clean and quiet. Each suite room has a small but functioning kitchen with a stove, a fridge, cooking pots and utensils. The bed is so soft like a waterbed - Any movement of one person would disturb the other. The location is excellent with access to a small beach where kids can swim and play in the water. Nevertheless, the facilities are too old and property is not kept in a good shape. The bathroom is extremely small, not enough space for a normal-sized person to sit on the toilet! The bathtub is old, sink water tap is leaky and there is no ventilation fan... The front desk girl is NOT friendly with a cold fish face. It is really "you get for what you paid for". Given the price, it is ok for a place to sleep over night.

The room we were in has a half circular window on the door, which caused the outside light to shine directly into my eyes while trying to sleep. The bathroom counter was too small. Petal sink, no room for overnight and toiletries at all. The outside view was great to see Lake Champlain.

not enough outlets- had to charge our electronics in the bathroom, pillows were uncomfortable- very thin. the room itself was awesome! Queen size bed was very comfy, Kitchenette had everything we needed, was well stocked with dishes and pans for cooking on the stove, plus a full sized fridge! access to the beach was great, wish we could have spent more time there. there is a Mc Donalds-5 minute just up the street. didn't like the coffee maker in the room (not a Keurig) but they do have one in the office you can use.( but i do understand why, they are expensive coffee wise, but i always bring my own pods, i like the flavored ones) I highly recommend this hotel, i would stay here again if i ever find myself traveling up to this area again!!

All of the staff were outstanding. Outgoing and really friendly. The rooms were older, but everything worked well including the coffee maker, the microwave and the refrigerator. The room was really clean. We'll stay there again!

The room was clean and comfortable, but it was a bit over priced. For the price they should offer some kind of breakfast. The staff was excellent and very friendly. They changed our room from the second floor to the first floor upon request and we mistakenly left our computer at the motel, someone found it and returned it to the office and they kept it safe until we could return and pick it up.

Check in was super easy so was check out (didn’t even have to interact to check out just a key drop.) The room was really nice almost set up like a mini apartment more than the average hotel room. The private beach was right at the end of building easy access and nice to spend a few minutes in the sun taking in the view I caught the sunset and sunrise on the little beach both were beautiful for such an affordable room price. My only complaint was the bed felt obnoxiously high I’m about 5’2 and it was past my hips standing beside it I had to get a bit of run jump to get in it

Came from Canada to enjoy the 4th of July. Was a great location: close to the Plattsburgh city beach and 10 minutes from restaurants/ shopping center. 50 second walk to the McDonalds (convenient for late night). Rooms were clean (especially the corner room with a window overlooking the private beach). Service was great!,Bob was very friendly and helpful. Already recommended to our family & friends and will definitely be coming back. Bonus: were able to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the comfort of our private beach

As an alternative to staying in Burlington, Golden Gate costs less, has beach front with a great lake view and is not far from the ferry dock. While the building may be showing its age, it does have a retro vibe and appears to be well maintained. I think having the kitchenette space is not a bad trade-off for a compact bathroom. Good value for travelers - especially in summer!

So nice to be right by the lake! And just a quick drive to restaurants and town. The property is clean and pleasant, but our only complaint was that our room had mosquitoes inside. After some aggressive towel swatting, everything was fine though. I would return just because of the location, the balcony had a nice view and you literally walk right on to the beach from the parking lot.

Two flights of stairs to negotiate. I asked for help with my luggage and got that. This is an old two Decker motel. Lovely Sandy Beach with sound of the waves in my room, which was an under room. Comfy bed and I slept well. McDonald’s was only 500 feet away for an egg breakfast.

This lodge was in the middle of a bad neighborhood, next to a factory, with very few restaurants. The room was extremely overpriced, with no amenities such as alarm click, soap, extra towels, etc. We had a room with king size bed and was charged an extra charge of $52.00 for the bed, which was not disclosed in description of this place, because of its size. The bed post was cracked, walls cracked, door covered by a cloth. We were charged a total of $380 for a dump with a smelley heater, raggerty bedspread with holes in it and no breakfast included. We should be offered some kind of refund.

Was pleasantly surprised. I feel the lodge is nicer looking than shows in your photos. We were able to check in early and spent a couple of hours on the private beach, which was beautiful. The room is not fancy but it was clean, with a very comfortable bed and i would definitely stay there again. If you have youngsters there is a Mcdonald's within walking distance.
