This was a great hotel and I would highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly and helpful from the front desk, parking attendant and restaurant employees. The room was very spacious and clean and the view was great. The pool was nice and there were plenty of lounge chairs. The casino was okay, but I would not recommend it as the machines just take your money. The 24 hour restaurant was good as was the market. There are lots of restaurants that are close by and very walkable.

The Hotel was great. Liked the spa, they had affordable packages that included use of sunna, steam room, and hot tube. There was more dinning options than I've seen at other hotels- it had a mini resort feel. The hotel concierge and housekeeping were the true stars. The concierge helped use plan excursions and even made sure our dinner reservations was confirmed when we couldn't get in contact with the restaurant. Concierge also left a sweet honeymoon gift in our room. Housekeeping prepared a beautiful display in the room to wish us a happy honeymoon. There was no tube, but shower made up for it.

Great place to be in the middle of the city. Close access to the Subway and also direct access to a street connecting directly to Corredor Sur (AirPort Highway in Panamá) The spa and Fitness Center are also great plus if you are feeling lucky you can also play at the casino within the hotel.

Big and nice rooms, comfortable bed, and amazing shower. A huge nice pool. Great location. Negative points for cleanliness, as the lobby bathrooms were filthy and stinky. No cleanliness problems in the room. Service is not excellent, specially at the pool, where none of the waiters were willing to walk from the pool bar to the pool area. They seemed very lazy.

1. The hotel itself is clean, with mostly fast internet and mostly pleasant staff. I am not sure about the location cause I rarely went out. 2. Several options for food within the hotel and close to other places for food 3. (bellman) Ivan deserves special mention as he was just phenomenal. 4. The hotel management are a little greedy. the cab fare to and from the airport is $50 which is highly unreasonable, do not book with them. When I asked they help me get a yellow cab because of my very limited Spanish, they refused to do so stating it was not hotel policy despite the fact they had agreed to hours before and their 180 turn was at the time I was to leave for the airport. 5 A significant reason I had chosen the hotel was because of the spa with its many treatment rooms, sauna and steam room and jacuzzi. Imagine my surprise when I was informed I could only use these facilities if I was a Marriott member (I am not) or for $35 an hour!!!. It was such a shame. This is also not on hotels.com`s website 6. Unheated pool, to be fair, I am not sure if this is a valid complaint as Panama city is hot and humid. cloth on pool chairs had mold

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. Mostly everyone was very nice and as helpful as they could be. The problem was the hotel itself! It's BADLY in need of a renovation. The rooms stunk sooo bad and we changed rooms twice. If the trip wasn't already paid for, we would have tried to find different accommodations. The area surrounding the hotel is very poor looking and run down. It was dangerous because one of the grates outside their hotel was lifted and my mother fell. With taxes on single bit of money uou play in the casino, you'd think they could afford to renovate and get rid of the mold/mildew smell! Definitely would not stay there again!

This hotel was incredibly underwhelming and filthy. Upon our arrival, we noticed that the carpet in the lobby was stained and littered with crumbs. The staff at the desk was not helpful nor pleasant and gave us false information about check out times. When we entered our room, we were met with dirty linens and a carpet that looked as if it had not been vacuumed since the hotel first opened in 2014. When booking this hotel, we had no idea that our reservation included complimentary toenail clippings near the bed and hair in the bathroom drain. When the issues with our room were brought to the staff's attention more than once, they laughed at the absurdity of the situation and offered no solution. In addition to the issues with the cleanliness of our room, we also experienced problems with our shower. The water took over three minutes to come to a temperature that was tolerable to shower in and the faucet barely let out a trickle. Periodically, the water would become scalding hot and then freezing cold. The last night of our stay coincided with New Year's Eve as well as an all night rager that ended at 5:30 in the morning. Between the music loud enough that our beds vibrated and the incessant fireworks, we got little to no sleep. When we inquired about a delayed check out, we were told that we would have to pay an exorbitant fee. We would not recommend the Sortis hotel to anyone who likes clean sheets, pleasant showers, and a good night of sleep.

This is a modern hotel. Our room was large, with a walk in shower and a very comfortable bed. It's convenient to walk to several restaurants. The pool is fabulous and the staff was very helpful with any questions. Ivan helped set up tours and was so friendly and personable. We looked at several hotels while we were there and were so happy that we chose The Sortis. We highly recommend it!

The main purpose of this trip was to celebrate my birthday. Due to unexpected reasons, I had to adjust my trip a week hence the reason I checked in after my birthday. Prior to arrival, I made a special request for a birthday plate and a bottle of wine to be in room upon arrival and this request was not honored. Upon arrival to room, I followed up and front desk agent advised that request was overlooked and will have matter referred to manager. To date I was not contacted with an apology nor was an amenity sent for the inconvenience. While laying in bed with my partner on our first evening, housekeeper try to make their way into the room without even knocking. Thanks to security lock, she did not get to see what she should not have seen. This experience pissed me off. I reported this to the front desk and yet again we were promised that a manager will reach out. During our stay, the concierge agent Ivan was very pleasant and helpful while most persons just stare at us like we were two criminals. I gather that they are not use to 2 guys in the same room. This experience made me feel very uncomfortable.As a result of this, I choose to have limited contact with the staff. Trust that my next visit will be a better experience if I decide to return to this hotel.

La persona del counter no hizo bien su check in, y no dejó registrada la habitación y a las 3:30 am entró un hombre con una mujer a mi habitación, el hotel no hizo nada para remediar el daño causado. This property is fantastic. The staff are amazing! The guy at the concierge (I think he’s name was Jeremy?) was incredible. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful and clean. There are so many dining options and the pool bar was such a nice place to relax. Would recommend!

This was my birthday trip and I loved it, the staff wwere so welcoming and constsntly wished me happy birthday. Hubby loved the sports bar in the casino, sadly didn't get to use the other amenities but we will certainly be back. Big shout out to the concierge team, Omar and especially Ivan truly wonderful guys.

They will charge you to have visitors $33 additional, no enough towels in the room we have to keep asking for it . The cleaning in the bathroom specifically poor . Service at the casino poor , they will charge you for soft drinks!!! We have to end up paying for our breakfast even though they told us when we checked in we have free breakfast

Check-in was easy. The pool is great. The Caliope restaurant, their bar tender Mike, and manager Ernesto made us feel so welcome and the drinks were great. The lamb samosas, prawns, and mushroom risotto were excellent. We didn’t like the food from La Brasserie, it wasn’t seasoned well and the waitress ignored us all night. The hotel is in a walkable area and about 15-20 minutes from Old Town. I would recommend this hotel as it is beautiful and the service is friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely return.

We spent a week at the Sortis. The rooms are very spacious, clean, have great views from the 12th floor and the showers are huge. This hotel is located in an are that was very convenient for us. Ubers come in less than 4minutes and you can get to Old Town and many other places for $3-$7. The most we spent was getting to Gamboa and that was $22. The Casino was good w/a lot of slot machines. There are like 6 restaurants to choose from…We only liked the pool food & Ciao Raggazi. We ate dinner at Ciao Raggazi 3 times. We loved their lasagna, Alfredo & pizza. They have mint & strawberry lemonades that were blended fresh and delicious. Our server Juan was the best. Everything he suggested was great. All the hotel staff we came in contact with were very nice and helpful. We spent one afternoon at the Spa and I had the women’s facilities all to myself. The Vitality pool, sauna and steam room are very large and relaxing. We really enjoyed our time at the Sortis Hotel, Spa & Casino.

I expected more from this 5-star hotel. Yes, the room is huge, but it has strong humidity/mold smell. It's really unpleasant. Breakfast... it looks nice from the first sight. I prefer to eat healthy. Fruits are not fresh which is surprising. Sweets/bakery stuff is super chemical... I had problems with my stomach two days in a row after those breakfasts.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff was super nice and friendly. Many fun dining options. The spa was amazing. Pretty close to everything. The Uber rides were super cheap. The casino was fun and bigger than I expected. Definitely recommend this place.

This property was very clean and had good restaurants with very good food. The Casino and sports bar were great too. The pool area is set up very well and has lots of space. I didn’t us the spa but someone that was traveling with me did and he said the massage wasn’t very good and had limited time’s available as they only had one massager. But he did enjoy the spas other amenities. The maid service was great as I don’t get up early and they cleaned the room very good everyday later on and never knocked early waking me up. I would recommend this hotel.

Pros: room was spacious, very clean, & smelled nice. Awesome bathroom & shower. Bed was great too. Amazing pool & plenty of available loungers & tents. Casino/Blackjack was ok. Cons: breakfast buffet had good fruit & bread, but pancakes & waffles were gross 2 days in a row. I took a bite & spit it out. I give the property a 4.5/5.
