Silver Heart Inn & Cottages

Would happily stay at the Silver Heart B&B again. Not only was this historical home charming and clean, the breakfast was amazing and staff were very welcoming/friendly. The in-room robes were a nice touch, parking was easy, the home-made bread/foccacia was delish. Thank you Charles for your kindness.

I wish I could have stayed more than one night (family medical emergency shortened a longer stay). Charles greeted me as soon as I arrived. Lovely historic interior. My room (Asia room) was done in maroon wallpaper. Spacious and comforting. The bed was very very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was comforting to the belly and heart. Sourdough bread is made fresh on premises. Best part? The proprietor, Charles. Kind considerate honest compassionate excellent conversationalist. Cannot wait to come back for a more leisurely stay. The only downside is that there’s ambient noise. A busy fire station is nearby and there are train tracks in the area. Fear not! My room was equipped with ease plus and a white noise machine.

This stay has been amazing! Bed is super comfy (and I’ve had back surgery) took all the back pain away! Host is friendly and accommodating. Beach house was very clean. The stay has been awesome !

I called and booked late at night traveling from Colorado to St. Louis Missouri today. The gentleman was very kind and very polite. Very helpful. When I got there, I did not realize it was in a neighborhood. Easy to find with his directions. The cottage was very cute. You park in a parking lot walked down a little boardwalk over rocks. I did not realize that the cottage was so old. When we walked in there was a distinct musky or maybe a water leak or something’s been closed up maybe because of the age of the building. The gentleman when I mentioned it to him, he did offer to come out and take a look. He said he’s not had anyone complain, but this was a very distinct smell and the heat was on 70 blasting when we got in there and there is air freshener that automatically goes off so I just found that hard to believe. He also said that the beds were extremely comfortable. it’s Chooch twin mattresses on a king bed. They were hard as a rock. The bathtub has a very slow drain so the water almost comes up to your ankle. Maybe the other units in the main lodge is nicer. The layout and design is very cute, but even when I tried to open the window to get some fresh air , I couldn’t open the window because they are super super old and very dirty windows. I probably would not stay again, but the gentleman hospitality was very nice and we greatly appreciated that traveling and being laid at night.

It was AMAZING, Charles was extremely hospitable the room was clean a decorated for the holidays. Breakfast was great and the home was very inviting. We truly enjoyed our stay.
