Excellent 360 degree views. Premium property with amazing service. Terrace was a highlight and so was the view of Acropolis from the bed. Breakfast was served by a cafe which has a great service and menu as well.

This place was incredible. We had the penthouse and the rooftop terrace was absolutely stunning. The staff was amazing They were helpful, had great recommendations for food and just friendly like they were happy to see you. I would stay here over and over again.

I am rating this property 5 stars with a huge caveat: this is not a hotel if you want a quiet neighborhood. This hotel is fantastic if you want to be in the middle of the action in Monestiraki with a fantastic view of the Acropolis. Also the staff was extremely kind and responsive. It is easy to get to the ancient sites, shopping, dining and the metro, but because of that that means you also have to deal with the crowds the minute you exit the building. Plus the street in front is full of outdoor seating areas for the restaurants which means you will have to carry your luggages a short distance from the car on the street to the entrance. If you're ok with that because you value location, courteous staff, clean rooms, and and the view (like we did), then this is perfect. If you want a hotel that you can drive up with a roomy lobby in a quiet neighborhood, then this isn't for you. It might not be for everyone, but we definitely enjoyed our stay!

There is no dining on site or breakfast, but there is king-size beds with an air conditioning that works extremely well. Great area put you around a lot of restaurant Sparta shops lotta Storico sides with things to do. I will trade a good breakfast for an air conditioning unit that works in a day. Staff super friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend anyone who’s looking for a cool spot to bass themselves out of for a reasonable price.

It may not have the fancy welcoming lobby you see at other places nor does it have other facility amenities, in fact it has a tiny apartment like entrance with the tiniest elavator but the service was excellent. Our check in went smooth, our room very clean, comfortable with simple decor, our balcony view was stunning. You can see an unobstructed view of the acropolis and hephaestus temple. The location is superb. Walking distance to all the the neighborhoods of Central Athens. Overall good value for the amount of money we paid. Definitely recommend this place.

Such a convenient location! Very close to all the main attractions. Very clean rooms. Highly recommend booking the side that faces the Acropolis. There is no front desk so it was difficult at first to ask questions/get stuff, but if you contact them on WhatsApp they’re very responsive.

Amazing location, about as close to the Acropolis as you can find, and immediately adjacent to the Agora and other archaeological sites. Neighborhood is Plaka, which is a vibrant, bustling area of narrow streets, small shops, restaurants and lots of tourists. Our rooftop apartment was small with a huge patio with sweeping views. Managers were awesome, and attentive. Be aware, this is not a hotel with all the usual hotel services, if that is what you are looking for, but the manager was readily available both onsite and by phone, and restaurants a step away. A beautiful stay in Athens for my wife and I, delayed for three years due to prevalence of Covid.

Altar Suites is in a fabulous location and has an unbelievable view of the Acropolis. It's surrounded by too many restaurants to count, including the unlikely (but good) James Joyce Irish Pub across the street. The Monastiraki area is a fascinating place in which to walk around and shop. Breakfast was part of the deal and is served at the cafe next door. The only thing we didn't really like was the unusual check-in/out process. There isn't a traditional front desk. Instead, you are emailed a code to get in -- which should have been fine but we were having difficulty accessing our email during our travels and panicked a bit about getting in. Luckily one of their staff called me with the code (Phew!). After that all was fine.

The hotel was clean and immediately in the flee market area. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The elevator is a small, but wasn’t an issue. There was some music noise, but wasn’t as bad as reviews from area hotels report. I would stay is this hotel again

The hotel staff was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. I had several questions before we arrived and they were quick to respond and extremely helpful. The staff is amazing, they always greeted us with a smile, and were always available to assist when needed. The hotel is clean and always smells great. The attendants who cleaned our room did a great job. The hotel is very clean and well kept. The property is within walking distance to the metro station and the area, although busy and can be noisy, is safe and does not interfere with a peaceful rest and comfort of the room. The staff makes all the difference and you will enjoy your stay here. The hotel is central to all of the sites you want ot visit.

Great hotel, nice and clean, good amenities and great location close to everything we wanted to visit on this occasion. Only issue was that as the communal areas eg stairwell and entrance were all hard surfaces and the rooms opened to this area, so you could hear every door opening and closing especially the front door which slams shut and also the conversations in the corridors. Luckily we didnt let this bother us as we were only there a short time. Saturday night, the neighbouring bar turns into a nightclub which ran past 1am so you felt the vibrations but once again didn't let that bother us. Last gripe was that we had an Acropolis view which was superb but whenthesun hits the correct angle you see that the windows are not the cleanest. Oh and last thing was that the neighbours bathroom window overlooked our balcony which was very odd. Still, a great place for a few days to enjoy lovely Athens.

What a lovely, newly decorated and spotless hotel - with warm and attentive staff. These must have been the most beautiful views of the Acropolis and Temple of Hephaestus we have ever seen - very quiet room - a real find.

Great location - though it can get loud over the weekends. Walking distance to many attractions and a ton of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was a bit cramped for 4 ppl and not having a bathroom door was a major hassle. Urban suites don’t have Acropolis views.. Overall, a good pleasant stay in the heart of Athens.

The gentlemen who checked us in was an angel. He was gracious and kind and allowed us our room access early, This location is perfect, quiet and close to everything! We had a wonderful deck that overlooked the neighborhood. The only criticism I have is the room is a bit small, so I unpacked things from my suitcase outside on the balcony. There was not much room to move around between 2 of us staying in the room.

The room was really tidy and comfy, view superb, and service great, BUT the first floor studio terrace was at the same level/next to with the neighbour bar terrace, and it was noisy all night long. So check yourself to upper floors.

We loved Altar Suites in Athens. The room feels pretty plain, but the bed was super comfortable, the shower and bathroom facilities were excellent, the included breakfast at the restaurant next door was yummy. Good tech features and a super location. And that view from the patio off the room of the Acropolis is stunning!

This hotel was in an excellent location for our purposes. Easy M3 train from the airport to Monastiraki neighborhood. From here it's a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The room is small but comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. The street in front was busy so bring high quality earplugs. The restaurant next door blasted music most nights until 3 am and the street in front is busy with people. There are hundreds of restaurants in the area. We walked everywhere. The Acropolis and other major and minor attractions are within easy walking distance. Easy access by train to the ferry port, as well.

This place was incredible. We had the penthouse and the rooftop terrace was absolutely stunning. The staff was amazing They were helpful, had great recommendations for food and just friendly like they were happy to see you. I would stay here over and over again.

Location is very good. At the heart of Flea market of Athens for those who like the mess... My company reserved rooms with breakfast however breakfast is served very late (0800) and I was unable to attend any breakfast. When asking what can be done I got a very disappointing reply - it's your problem. Not what I expected.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Altar Suites. The property is situated in a very central area and offers spectacular views of the major historical sites. We were greeted by the friendly staff and they were all very enthusiastic and polite. We definitely recommend this property.

Such a convenient location! Very close to all the main attractions. Very clean rooms. Highly recommend booking the side that faces the Acropolis. There is no front desk so it was difficult at first to ask questions/get stuff, but if you contact them on WhatsApp they’re very responsive.

Hotel was perfect, from location, to our welcome. We were just going to drop bags at 0900 after our cruise, instead we were escorted to our room; Room had a nice balcony with a Parthenon view along with included bottle of wine. Comfortable bed, and nice size room. Hotel arranged transportation both from the port and to the airport. Both were at a good price.

Good hotel if you don't need early breakfast (before 8am) or someone on hand at all times. Very clean rooms, good design and well maintained. I'd asked to cancel my breakfast pre-purchase and was rejected even though I'd only be using it once out of three days starting.

Altar Suites is in a fabulous location and has an unbelievable view of the Acropolis. It's surrounded by too many restaurants to count, including the unlikely (but good) James Joyce Irish Pub across the street. The Monastiraki area is a fascinating place in which to walk around and shop. Breakfast was part of the deal and is served at the cafe next door. The only thing we didn't really like was the unusual check-in/out process. There isn't a traditional front desk. Instead, you are emailed a code to get in -- which should have been fine but we were having difficulty accessing our email during our travels and panicked a bit about getting in. Luckily one of their staff called me with the code (Phew!). After that all was fine.

I am rating this property 5 stars with a huge caveat: this is not a hotel if you want a quiet neighborhood. This hotel is fantastic if you want to be in the middle of the action in Monestiraki with a fantastic view of the Acropolis. Also the staff was extremely kind and responsive. It is easy to get to the ancient sites, shopping, dining and the metro, but because of that that means you also have to deal with the crowds the minute you exit the building. Plus the street in front is full of outdoor seating areas for the restaurants which means you will have to carry your luggages a short distance from the car on the street to the entrance. If you're ok with that because you value location, courteous staff, clean rooms, and and the view (like we did), then this is perfect. If you want a hotel that you can drive up with a roomy lobby in a quiet neighborhood, then this isn't for you. It might not be for everyone, but we definitely enjoyed our stay!

Amazing location, about as close to the Acropolis as you can find, and immediately adjacent to the Agora and other archaeological sites. Neighborhood is Plaka, which is a vibrant, bustling area of narrow streets, small shops, restaurants and lots of tourists. Our rooftop apartment was small with a huge patio with sweeping views. Managers were awesome, and attentive. Be aware, this is not a hotel with all the usual hotel services, if that is what you are looking for, but the manager was readily available both onsite and by phone, and restaurants a step away. A beautiful stay in Athens for my wife and I, delayed for three years due to prevalence of Covid.

This hotel was in an excellent location for our purposes. Easy M3 train from the airport to Monastiraki neighborhood. From here it's a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The room is small but comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. The street in front was busy so bring high quality earplugs. The restaurant next door blasted music most nights until 3 am and the street in front is busy with people. There are hundreds of restaurants in the area. We walked everywhere. The Acropolis and other major and minor attractions are within easy walking distance. Easy access by train to the ferry port, as well.

Excellent 360 degree views. Premium property with amazing service. Terrace was a highlight and so was the view of Acropolis from the bed. Breakfast was served by a cafe which has a great service and menu as well.

There is no dining on site or breakfast, but there is king-size beds with an air conditioning that works extremely well. Great area put you around a lot of restaurant Sparta shops lotta Storico sides with things to do. I will trade a good breakfast for an air conditioning unit that works in a day. Staff super friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend anyone who’s looking for a cool spot to bass themselves out of for a reasonable price.

Great location and clean room. Comfortable bed. We had two rooms facing the Pantheon. Good breakfast. Most importantly- great location. Right in Monstraski and close to the best food all around. Did get loud on a Saturday evening but quiet otherwise. We loed this hotel and would stay again.

We loved Altar Suites in Athens. The room feels pretty plain, but the bed was super comfortable, the shower and bathroom facilities were excellent, the included breakfast at the restaurant next door was yummy. Good tech features and a super location. And that view from the patio off the room of the Acropolis is stunning!

While there is no “lobby”, the hotel staff is most helpful and the rooms are well-appointed, very clean and the view is exactly as advertised. Breakfast across the way is good, and the neighborhood puts you in the middle of streets full of restaurants, shops, etc. Excellent location and wonderful place to stay.
