River Palm Hotel

I had a mixed experience here. On the positive side, the rooms are impressively spacious, the rates are fair, and the staff is genuinely helpful. Having a great restaurant (Double Tapp) and the Frogbone shooting range next door was a plus—surprisingly, I never heard a single gunshot. The onsite laundry and ample parking were also convenient. However, the noise was a major issue. Being right under the flight path means constant, loud aircraft noise, supplemented by nearby trains. The back parking lot was also a hub for loud guests and idling engines early in the morning. The amenities need work: the pool was closed and filled with stagnant green water, which caused a significant mosquito problem. While it’s a decent spot for a night or two to watch a space launch, the outdated facilities and external noise mean I likely won't return.

It Was a older property needed to be facelift? Really bad paintings need to be painted. Walls was holy bags was a little outdated. But overall, it was a nice price in a decent location.

Quiet, inexpensive place for a night

Needed a place to sleep and had to leave at 5am the next day. We were there for less than 12 hours. I had booked this online, site unseen. This is an older motel. No elevator. Kind of like staying at a real run down motel 6. I'm sure many would liken this to a no-tell motel. I didn't want to seem unhappy about the accommodations since I had impressionable people with me. I was glad we had a fridge though. Dominos delivers here. We don't usually eat that, but we did because I had no idea where we would go. I usually stay in Viera, this was like the hoody part of Melbourne.I expected to see unsavory people outside, but I didn't. So that was good.

The pool and pool area were closed and unsightly, probably haven't been open in months if not years. Room smelled. 4 Occupants booked but only 2 full towels provided.
