Courtyard by Marriott Gatlinburg Downtown

Booked room on through Hotels.com. Room was nice with only a couple of items needing repairs which did not interfere with our stay. Great view from the balcony. With this being said I would not book with them again due to a $15 per day parking fee. I did not see this fee on website when booking or I would have passed. It's not like they have covered parking that would justify the extra charge. Desk clerk told us the parking fee was being charged all around and they were last one to implement this, however when checking with two other places we normally stay they do not have a parking fee.

Room with balcony was great! Was disappointed when we got in the hot tub and it was lukewarm. Had to get out and wait for someone to come try to fix it. By the time they fixed it it was was time to close. Hot tub is a big reason we stray at certain hotels. Will not complain about the room or the convenient location !

We had a good time and staff was friendly. My only complaint is that the hot tub was unusable, which was one of the reasons why we booked the hotel.

This property is nice but the staff make it great. The hotel is in renovations at the moment so there is a lot of work being done all around the property, but they appear to work fast and it did not cause any major inconvenience. My only issues were minor things like the indoor pool was very cold and the hot tub was out of order. Overall it is a good hotel and we had a pleasant experience.

Should have made us aware of the on going renovations. Lobby was closed completely. Checked-in in a hallway! Awful. Ruined a great location. Won’t be back.

A short walk to all the stores, activities, and restaurants. Nice court yard for outdoor sitting. View from the back overlooks an ugly parking lot. Food overpriced at the coffee bar. Good pancake house right next door.

I like the bar and restaurant on the property. Very nice and well run. The fireplace in the lobby and the outside area is beautiful. In walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg.

Hallway smelled weird and room was shaped weird but otherwise great stay. Pool and hot tub were down while we were there and we chose this hotel specifically for its hot tub.

Did not like the fact that we had to pay $15.00 a day for parking, especially when surrounding parking lots were $10.00 a day. We paid enough for the room parking should have been included.

Nice enough but our room has small ants on the counter near the TV.

Room was dirty. Sheets not changed; found multiple items from previous occupant, dirty rag on the shower. Rarely had person at front desk. Hot tub gave one of our family a rash

A bit of mod mold and grime in what I think was a shower for handicapped folks. There is a flexible rubber skirt along the shower edge that was obviously dirty.

We had a great time at this hotel. Everything was very clean. The room was very clean. Definitely a perfect hotel to stay at since the main strip is within walking distance! Would definitely stay again!

My room was clean and the hotel was nice. The only problem was the TV in my room. I have stayed at this property twice in two months in two different rooms and both times the TV picture would freeze. I reported it to the front desk and they were unable to fix the problem.

We've got a room in the entrance level. Was noisy. Extra bad for a kid was awful.

Balcony in this weather was amazing and a definite plus. Room was clean and comfortable. Refrigerator very small so dont expect to put much in it. Everything else is a 10.

We had a nice view of the Smoky Mountains. We enjoyed the hot tub because it was clean and nobody else was around. Very quiet for being in town. Room was clean and spacious.

My husband and I enjoyed staying here. The only thing we would've changed is the bed wasnt that comfortable, and the pillows were really flat, oh and also the water pressure wasn't that good. All of the staff members that we met were all so nice, so all in all we would stay there again.

clean facility and friendly staff rank high with this facility. It is consistent with both qualities on my 4th stay. The convenience of being able to walk for shopping and places to eat is a plus for this location. However, I do have to say that the room TV does not pick up stations very well so I don\'t know if they satellite "free" airwaves or just don\'t pay a cable bill as most of the channels had "no signal". So if TV is important for you when you have to be in your room, you may want to question their cable connection for quality TV.

The room was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in, very comfortable bed and great shower area!

Air conditioning unit in rooms are horribly loud. Bathrooms need to be updated. Room view was terrible. Looked out to the garbage and roof heating and cooling units.

The internet wasn't working! It is hard to live without wifi in the world today and in the mountain area. I have no idea how the hotel managed to not have internet for the entire day. The bathroom's exhaust wasn't working. The staff at the desk didn't care to even talk properly. There are better hotels in the area at the same rate/better! Pick those.

Do not get breakfast here. Expensive but takes a very long time to arrive with a lot of confusion in the kitchen. Happened on all 3 days we stayed there.

Hotel smelled amazing when you walked into the lobby. The Lobby was very inviting and clean. The room was nice. I enjoyed the balcony and its location for the views. My only issue was room service. We did not have a housekeeper come to our room by noon. My father was in the room all day. We did not have any clean towels for showering. I had seen Housekeeping in our hallway cleaning rooms late morning. I went to the front desk to ask for Housekeeping to bring us clean towels. She seemed bothered by my asking. She told me Housekeeping was still cleaning rooms until 3pm and if they don't come to my room to let the desk know. On my way back to my room, there as a Housekeeper on my floor. I asked her if she had any clean towls n her cart that I could have. I don’t believe she understood me or spoke. She just stared at me and pointed to room numbers on a clipboard. I pointed to my room. She got out her phone and dialed a number and placed it on speaker phone and handed me her phone. I thought this was weird. I explained to the lady on the phone that I just wanted towels. She spike very little english. Not really sure what she said, and out of frustration I just said ok and walked away. It was later that evening someone knocked on our room door and gave us towels. I didn’t think it should have been such an ordeal to get towels to shower.

The staff was very attentive, and the service was on point, I will definitely be staying there again!

The property itself was fine. My problem centered more around the staff. I was initially assigned a room through Expedia with certain amenities within the room. When I arrived, the bed size was not as promised and a sofa bed was also advertised as in the room. When I inquired about this I was told that all third parties were made aware of the changes in the room and should have advertised accordingly. I attempted to address this issue the next day and staff did provide another room, but with two double beds rather than one king bed and the amenities that I needed. Although this sounds incredibly petty the issue is I saw inside the room down the hall from me (housekeeping was cleaning the room) and saw the exact room I was originally assigned. I found the staff to be dismissive and quite frankly, didn’t tell the truth and passed blame on to others. For the price I paid to stay (over $1500), I expected better customer service. I’ve already written a recap of my stay with this hotel and did receive a personal response from HR. It was explained that the issue would be addressed internally. Finally I will say that I have used this hotel in other locations and it has been a perfectly fine stay. Perhaps further training in house with staff may need to be considered. As I think about it, I was walking out of the hotel one morning and another guest was upset and trying to explain to another employee their issue. I do wonder why so many of these issues took place within days apart.

Everyone there was very helpful and friendly. We were coming off the Appalachian Trail and of course we were dirty and didn’t look our best. We weren’t judged and got all our questions answered. We felt very welcomed.

Front desk staff not friendly at all. Took housekeeper until 6pm at night to come to our room and.we requested them at 9am. Talking to front desk she acted like I was a inconvenience more than anything. I won't be back!

This is a great hotel! Our only issue was the day shift front desk person. Both she and the morning coffee person were very rude. So, if you don’t care that much about southern hospitality, then I say you can’t go wrong with this property!

Service was friendly, stay was okay but the checkout was not good. I was unaware that there was a $15 a night charge for parking. AT A HOTEL PARKING LOT. Was not mentioned at check-in. Did not make me happy and I will probably not be back. I stay in Gatlinburg about twice a year and thought I found a good place to stay. I was wrong.

This hotel is a very short 2 min walk away from the heart of downtown. It’s perfect because you are close enough to all the action but it’s nice and quiet at night. Staff is super friendly and helpful.. room was very nice and beds are great( ask for extra pillows as they are not great) lobby is a great place to hang out and unwind at night. Fireplace is a nice touch.

Excellent room, looked brand new. Location was perfect for walking to shops, restaurants, etc. would definitely recommend.

Dont buy breakfast option. They allow you to buy 4 items off $27 breakfast for 2 option. Its not all u can eat breakfast. Not worth paying $27 additional for breakfast. There are plenty of options nearby.

Everything was excellent except breakfast. I bought the option, but it was not clear how that works. Price is the same as I would buy it in the restaurant. But the process of explanation was more confusing. If I knew about this, I would not buy it in advance.

Odd location. Near the Gatlinburg strip but it is a walk to everything. Hard if your mobility challenge. Trolley stop is across a busy street and only comes once an hour. It isn't really worth the price we paid. No breakfast. Overly expensive Starbucks on property. I was charged 2 more for a caramel macchiato than brick and mortar Starbucks down the street charged.

Good place. Opt for next door breakfast instead.

Bistro actually has good food. Hotel is in good shape. Inroom refrigerators are not good, only cool for 2 hours at a time, its a problem when you are gone for hours or even during the night. Staff is friendly, we liked the hotel.

The bar was the best part of the stay.
