Beautiful small town Christmas setting. Extremely comfy bed and room. Only suggestion would be to have some blackout curtains and some sort of coffee station in room or lobby.

The hotel is old and quaint - with a great bar and restaurant below . The bed was fine but only one window had a shade , climate control was making all kinds of noise . The shower kept fluctuating from hot to cool . There is a little coffee station in the hall. Fuse blew while using it though. We had to wait to check in because no one was there at 9 pm … They had to call someone who arrived 10 min later to give us a key .

The Brick has the feeling of an old fashioned inn. The room we had was quite small, but big enough, the floors bit wavy, but even enough. Even with tho atop the very busy Rocco’s restaurant it was perfectly quiet. As a historic building I understand there being no elevator, but the hotel would benefit from one.

The room was very clean. The bathroom was spotless although there was a note asking you to use paper towels rather than the hand towels to avoid staining the white towels with makeup. The floor, being a very old building was very uneven. There isn’t an elevator so be prepared to climb stairs with your luggage. The restaurant Rocco’s was great!

Did not know there would be so much restaurant foot and car traffic on/at property. Restaurant is obviously very popular and successful! Parking is inconvenient although valet parking attempts to prioritize hotel guests. No convenient ice machine or small refrig on floor of room, had to ask restaurant greeters for ice. No one at desk on morning check out. I know property is old, but surprised that stairwell floors and room floors are unnervingly unlevel in some places. Clean, comfy small queen bed.

There was no heat. They provided a space heater that scared me and was a bright light all night long. No desk, or anywhere to sit and use laptop or write. No coffee machine. Coffee in the hall, but no decaf. No microwave. No refrigerator or ice machine. No decent lighting. Forget about putting makeup on in the bathroom. I had to carry luggage up and down 2 flights of steps. The floors were severely tilted, I worried that the building was not sound. My stay was a bit scary. I was supposed to go back and stay there again in a few days after I attended a wedding, but I cancelled.

Thia is our first stay at this very conveniently located boutique hotel. We can only speak for the one room: a cozy corner room called the Pierce. All rooms are different. The Pierce was quiet but minimally appointed. No water glasses. No in-room coffee station. No minibar. Old school minimalist boarding house vibe. At one point a picture fell off the wall. I couldn't rehang it because the nail holding it up was too loose in the wall. A bit shabby, that. Two air conditioners - an old wall unit and a newer window unit - worked all night trying to keep the room cool, which made for a great deal of ambient noise. The bed was a bit like sleeping on a trampoline. Very springy. Not uncomfortable but not great for two active sleepers whose movements transfer across the bed. We're use to firmer hotel mattresses. Also of note, there is no elevator, so be prepared to navigate at least one rather narrow flight of stairs. We had to climb two flights, fortunately with minimal luggage. All in all, just okay. It was one night that served its purpose, but did not leave us planning a return trip.

An historic property that is clean and comfortable. The restaurant and bar (Roccos) is excellent. Had the honey glazed salmon with creamed leeks, and potatoes. The heat in the room was strong, the bed comfortable and plenty of hot water. In the hall way on the second floor is coffe and water. Extra towels, water, and toilet paper also are in a glass cabinet in the hall. The town of Newton is walkable and quaint. It's not far from New Hope and Washington's Delaware crossing, Peddlers Village, and many wineries.

The facility was spectacular. The restaurant in the downstairs is a little high end and you do have to walk through the crowd to get into the hotel, but it adds to the charm. The building is very old and shows its age, but is very well maintained if you like all historical buildings this is a great place to stay and reasonably priced. Does have offstreet parking which is a plus and the town is fantastic to wander around very safe and very quaint.

How we wanted to love the brick hotel with its historical architecture we were left disappointed where should I start about the only good thing in our room was the bed that was comfortable. The windows were stuffed with dish towels in them, and that didn’t stop there were also dish towels crammed under the radiator (fire hazard for sure) the mirror literally fell off the wall as a wire broke and the sink was what appeared to be glued poorly to the wall. Not to mention that the puff (ottoman) was covered in mildew/mold on the bottom clearly they didn’t wash it - yuck would absolutely not recommend or stay here again !

Website when I reserved said breakfast was included; it was not. When I turned the shower water on, black soot came out in the water. No temperature control in the room; was very very hot all night. Windows don't open. Wasn't the best experience.

Unbelievably rude staff at check in. Filthy room, now i understand all the bad reviews. The only highlight of the evening was the Valet, he was pleasant, knowledgeable of the surrounding area and quite helpful. Sadly that is no reason to ever return. In fact things were so bad that before we left in the morning we took pictures of the room so that we have proof of what it looked like. Just in case.

The hotel is in desperate need of remodeling. The shower is yellowish from age, the toilet is so old I don't think they make that color any more. The ceiling needs to be spackled and the floors need to be leveled. Oh and the stairs need more light and are crooked. I would have thought I was drunk but the only thing I drank was water.

While we love historic hotels, we would not stay here again. Room 205 was actually fairly nicely decorated and bed very comfortable. The small folding table in the bathroom is not a replacement for a vanity. The water damage and mold is a constant problem in between the sink and shower and cannot be fixed by multiple layers of plaster. One shade had several tears in it. The music noise from the restaurant was too loud and went until 11:00 pm. The problems with the showers have not been addressed and are terrible.

This is historic hotel is an experience. If you're looking for a modern hotel stay...this is not it. However, it is definitely has its charm. We stayed for 2 nights recently and while we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, we really enjoyed our stay. There is a restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, the food is excellent, and you don't have to drive far). The room itself is not large, and doesn't have modern amenities, such as USB ports on the electric plugs, or electronically controlled AC. However, there is a window A/C unit that did a decent enough job to cool the room while we were there, and rooms are very clean and have all of the necessities for a nice stay. The only somewhat negative say about hotel/room is that mattress comfort can be improved. It was bit rough and springy, definitely can be upgraded. Outside of that, it is a great historic hotel, and will definitely book again when next time in this area.

There was a shortage of half & half and lemon ginger tea this stay, we had plenty the last time. This room was noisier then the other room we had last time and did not have blackout shades so we had light shining in our eyes.

Great history. Room was very comfortable. The area has a great selection of dining options within walking distance. Felt very safe walking around the area. It should be noted that rooms are a walk up stairs. Rooms could use better shades, which is not an issue to me as I wake early.

Brick Hotel is conveniently located in the center of Newtown, close to shopping and restaurants. There is a quality restaurant downstairs. Main issue is that the hotel room we were given is dated, a little rundown, one window AC unit cooling the room but not the bathroom. Bathroom is tight with nowhere convenient to place your toiletries. Bathtub/shower would probably be tight/claustrophobic for a big person. Bed and pillows are not terribly comfortable.

The room we had (302) was horrible.The floor was so slanted I would consider it a safety issue. I got out of bed and lost my balance due to the floor being so uneven. The temperature was hard to control, possibly because the knob was broken on one of the controls. The noise from the restaurant was too much for me. It went on until after midnight and you could heat every clink of the dishes being cleared. No sleep at all. I couldn’t wait to get out of this place.

This hotel is very quaint. We attended a wedding at the Rose Bank Winery so the location of this hotel was perfect. The restaurant, Rocco’s, was right downstairs and an excellent place to have drinks and appetizers before the wedding. We also went back to the bar after the wedding. The food is phenomenal at Rocco’s. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and perfect for a quick trip. It felt like you were staying at a friend’s house rather than a hotel. The owner was lovely and accommodated our request for an early check-in. Overall, I would recommend The Brick Hotel for a night away!

Never saw a single person. Keys left at restaurant that is in same building. In AM there was a typed note on same desk in restaurant which said to leave the keys. Honestly saw not one person affiliated with the hotel.

The 2nd floor manager was very pleasant, room was safe and quiet bc of the thick walls, bar downstairs was nice, easy to park, free coffee and water, in center of town. Would stay here again!

Received a notice right away about where to park and that an attendant would be waiting to show me where. Staff/owner was there to assist right away. They followed up with a text to make sure everything was ok. Older quaint hotel for a no frills stay. Very nice stay.

No maid service during stay. Extra towels and toiletries available as self serve in hallway. Restaurant downstairs and all parking spaces are taken by people eating at restaurant. Hard to get a parking space again at the property if you leave and return around dinner time. Great location and basic accommodations.

We went to a comdey show at The Newtown Theatre. A block and a half walk away. Alot to do in the area. Great Places to eat. And, We were also given the tip to try the Homemade cookies from The Hardware Store. Bought 2 bags👍👍 Would stay here again and higjly recommend.

This is an older hotel in the historic section of Newton. If you are tired of the standard chain hotels and are looking for something quaint and interesting, this is a good choice. The restaurant is pricey, but has an interesting menu. They don’t serve breakfast, but offer some walkable recommendations. The list needs to be updated. Two of the restaurants are closed.

Our room was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The building is very old, but it has been renovated and it's well maintained. Great location for us. We were a little confused about check in because the attached restaurant said they are not affiliated with the hotel. They did still help us find the lady in charge of the hotel.

This is a historic inn from the 1700s. George Washington slept here along with Hessian officers captured in the revolution. The rooms are old, but clean with updated bathrooms. The restaurant on the first floor is the focus of the Brick Hotel and their staff supplies your key. The are is very walkable with fun sgops amd restaurants nearby.

This hotel is very quaint. We attended a wedding at the Rose Bank Winery so the location of this hotel was perfect. They are not open for breakfast. No coffee available. They are open for lunch at 11pm which is about the time someone is at the front desk. There is no phone in my room. I called the hotel from my cell phone to find out when the restaurant is open. The floor in my room is slanted, very annoying. I had to turn the A/C off because it rattled so loud it kept me awake. The TV is difficult to operate. There were two remotes and the one for the TV didn’t work because it didn’t have batteries in it. The temperature of the shower water fluctuates between hot and cold without me touching it. Other than this the room is fine!

It is a cool hotel built in 1765, no bells and whistles, window AC, for a few days is fine, Roccos restaurant downstairs had the best tomahawk steak I ever had, great if you like walking around and seeing old homes from the 1700's to early 1800's

Staying in a historical hotel was awsome, the stairs, wallpaper in hallway and old elegance of it was really nice. It was clean and nice. No frills. Don't expect luxury amenities as it's not expected but nice bedding, clean room and comfortable. Remember, you're staying in a part of history. That was cool. Also, try restaurant on bottom floor, it was excellent food.

Rocco’s was closed for renovations. That could have been posted on the website. Bed was comfortable. Could use TCL- wall patched, caulked in the bathroom, peeling wall paper. Will not stay again.
