Beautiful hotel that smelled really good upon entering. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby was decorated in Christmas holiday theme. The room was spacious but had NO MICROWAVE!! NO MICROWAVE ONSITE!! The kids had leftovers and had to eat them cold.

Great visit. The only thing was the elevators were broken in the parking garage. So you had to carry you luggage if you selfed parked. Luckily we did not have much , only stayed one night. But if the front desk would have told us we probably would have paid $10 more for valet. Also the ice Machine on our flood was broken but we had an ice chest so did not have to make to many trips. Staff was friendly, pool was nice, room was clean and big. We enjoyed our stay overall and would stay there again.

Overall, the hotel was nice. Clean. Nice bar in the lobby. The staff that I encountered were pleasant. The rooms were very nice. Just missing a microwave. But nice experience overall.

The Chifley is now one of my first options in Houston. Great remodeled hotel! Everything brand new, spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed. Don’t expect any major facilities though. Just a small pool and small gym. Breakfast was also great!

Well kept, clean property, walking distance from shopping and restaurants. Only negative is the on site restaurant charges a service fee and gratuity for every transaction so be aware. Great experience, will definitely return!

This hotel was so cute and comfortable, it was super clean has a lot to offer from breakfast to dinner, the on site bar has happy hour until 12am with $10 drinks and food. Very classy and plenty of mirrors everywhere for your photos haha I will def be back to Houston and I’m going stay here again the service has been the best by far that I’ve had in a while.

The hotel is in a great area, you can walk to galleria very easily. Staff was great! The only thing is that they didn’t clean our room and also that the room is kind of damaged, dirty walls, loose restroom but other than that it was okay. Another good thing is that our room was huge, it had like two rooms 😃

Seen a big cockroach run into our room. Staff barely apologized. Then tried to charge me for multiple nights of valet parking which was incorrect. Lack of empathy and hospitality. Also no microwave in rooms. Will not recommend anyone stay here.

Very quiet and staff was great/professional. The room could’ve been cleaned better. There were shoes in my room from previous residents. Things just weren’t wiped down properly at all.

We had many problems with our room. As Hilton members, we came from several other Hilton hotels traveling through the state over vacation. This was supposed to be the nicest of them all, and it was the grossest. We arrived to a pungent smell of fish in our room, as well as fruit loops cereal along and under the coach. Our shower took upwards of 10 minutes to heat up, and when it did, it was scalding and did not change temperatures quickly either. The receptionist downstairs was incredibly rude upon our arrival; probably upset she had to work New Year’s Eve. When we originally arrived, we had requested a higher floor, and she had told us that was not possible due to the hotels capacity being full. When we made our complaints about the smell and cleanliness, miraculously a higher floored room was then available. No apologies provided. We came with two young kids who were exhausted and just wanted to shower and sleep. There were no blankets provided for them in the closet- so we had to wait for that, as well. All in all: the hotel room was unclean, the water situation was a mess, and there were no blankets in the closet with the pull out mattress. We do not recommend this hotel for any reason, whatsoever. The staff was rude and our experience was poor. Save your money and avoid the “4 star hotel” facade.

I usually have a great stay at the Chifley but this time not so favorable. Housekeeping didn’t clean my room for 2 days, my stay was only for 3. Room service brought me cold coffee and it was a significant delay to get another one. The front desk/text concierge was not that accommodating.

The room size and layout is wonderful. Love the separate living room and TV, dining table, mini fridge, and very nice espresso machine and pods. Did not care for the fairly loud highway noise, hard and uncomfortable bed, scratchy sheets and towels. It seems to be an older building which has been remodeled with a nice contemporary look, but not so exacting standards in terms of craftsmanship. The bar is very nice. The pool is on the small side and lacked any landscaping. Everyone was very friendly and professional, and provided very nice service.

Exceptionally average. Bright white LED bulbs making it feel like a hospitable? Expensive overnight self parking? "Breakfast" lol? If this is for you, then check out this hotel. If you care about yourself at all, check out literally anything else. Very underwhelming, but, it's a place to sleep.

Great hotel for a business trip or small family. The rooms are freshly updated, spacious, and have a nice separate sitting room and bedroom. Bed is comfortable, water pressure in the shower is outstanding, and the table area is perfect for getting work done. The parking fees are comparable with every other hotel in the Galleria area, and valet is fast with bringing your vehicle out. My only real critique is the lighting in the rooms. My room had bright white/daylight style bulbs rather than the warmer color temperature I would expect in a room like that. It makes an otherwise very nicely designed room feel a bit cold and stark. I'd recommend changing that.

Great stay When I checked in the front desk staff was very nice but did not tell me about the property. The focus was on the $250 incendital fee. I had to go back and ask where was the gym, pool and hours. I think it’s great to have an QCR code in rooms that explains everything but great customer service that is personable should start at the front desk by explaining some of the amenities of the property

Very poor check in experience. I had prepaid for my 2 night stay and my brother and his family was also staying there and checked in hours before I did. The desk clerk insisted that I had not prepaid and wanted to charge me over $900 on my card. I told her that they had probably given my brother my room by mistake. The desk never acknowledged that and said that my brother had given them my name. What a joke. Very insulting and unprofessional. They never apologized for their mistake and never even acknowledged that a mistake had been made

Our stay was great. Our room was clean and spacious. The front desk morning ataff was excellent, and so were the valet. The evening front desk staff was very rude, though. I think her name was Shelly or something close to that. I had a question about the self parking and the valet. We paid for valet, but decided to self park since we had a handicap placard. Not only did she raise her voice to me in the lobby in front of other guests, but she wouldn't let me get a word in. I finally just told her i would speak to the morning staff instead. Other than that, we didnt let that incident ruin our stay. We also ended up going to the bar for happy hour and it was great. Bartenders were very attentive and accommodating.

The Good: Location was very close to good restaurants and The Galleria. The rooms have good space with the living room area. The Bad: 😒…When you first walk in you take in a strong stench of what smells like gas. The strongest area for this is near the elevators but you can smell it other areas in the lobby. Staff is a large problem for me. When arriving I had questions about my reservation and the woman running the front desk was very short and not forthcoming with answers. I had to ask several follow up questions to get clarification for what I needed. The following day not only was our toilet clogged, but our room phone wouldn’t work. The toilet was fixed quickly but no one ever came to check out the phone. We had to call the front desk using our personal phones if we needed assistance. The other issue with staff I had was about parking. When I explained that my car was no longer registered as requested the woman at the desk (different one from the first day) was very rude. She only asked for my room number and email address then walked off. No communication about what we will do to fix the issue. When she returned she totally ignored me and proceeded to help 3 new customers who had since walked up. I finally had to interrupt and ask her what next steps were. Overall my stay was mid. I was disappointed.

During my recent stay, I encountered several service issues that I believe merit management review. There was no housekeeping service provided in the morning, and no turndown or turnover service was available. I also had repeated difficulty reaching the front desk for assistance. When I requested extra towels and a comforter, no action was taken until I went to the front desk in person, and even then, I was unable to receive a fresh comforter. The front desk attendant informed me there was no microwave available, and the pillows provided caused skin irritation—something I have never experienced at other hotels. While the property itself is beautiful, it was somewhat difficult to locate, even for Houston locals. Unfortunately, the level of service did not reflect the high cost of the stay, and I believe better service could be found at a lower rate nearby. They did not have a room for me available when I arrived even though I booked some days in advance . But she ended up finding one with double beds . So everything worked out great and everyone was super friendly. The room was PERFECT and so clean . Would definitely stay here again

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The hotel is beautiful! No problems with check in. The Houston Galleria is right across the street. Plenty of restaurants and shops within 15 minute drive of the hotel! If I return to Houston, I would not hesitate to stay here again!

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice our room was, especially for the price. It was close enough to NRG Stadium to go for an event, but just far enough that the prices weren’t jacked up. We will definitely be staying there again next time we are in town.

The Chifley Houston is a nice place to spend a few days. It was recently renovated with large comfortable rooms, a full-service restaurant and bar and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is in a great uptown location with shopping and dining in walking distance.

This place is very nice, BUT the prices for breakfast, it’s CRAZY. We ended up getting the buffet breakfast just to find out we paid $80 for 2 people we both had coffee, 2 pancakes, some eggs (scramble) and bacon and sausage. THAT WAS ALL! we could’ve gone to IHOP and paid so much less. And the pancakes were hard, plus they charged us a service fee… like what was that for?? Also parking… they charge you per day. Had no other choice because there isn’t any other place to park. I can say the valet customer service were the BEST. If I would to stay here again I will NEVER get breakfast there.
