It was an okays night sleep. Some loud noises and the smell is atrocious. Smelled something foul in the air lingering like hot trash. Also they have a decent sized pool with very strict rules. It’s a deterrent to allowing guest to use it early morning. Check out is at 11 am, I wanted to take a dip in the pool at 7:30 am and the girl at the front desk sat on her phone with a blank look and made no accommodation. I wouldn’t stay here a second time, this was a break in a long family trip to San Diego and it took away some of the fun. We’re heading to the beach today, no worries!

I’ve stayed here about four times over the last five years. It’s clean secure. The property is closed off if you don’t have a room key. Renovated since last time, but even before the rooms were clean and modern. The area is a little bit of a mix bag, but you’ll be surprised that this property is kept up pretty nice and the staff is pleasant.

This is an older proprty, two story, no elevator but very economical and with very nice staff working the desk and preparing breakfast (simple one) in the mornings. Pool was great to get in during the hot Bakersfield summer - clean with poolside chairs & umbrellas.., refreshing break from the sun and valley's heat. Fairly priced for the experience - would stay again.

This hotel is in a really bad area and I worried about my car all night. They have no elevators and apparently when i checked in at 6pm there were no more 1st floor rooms. I had surgery 2 months ago and my son had a hamstring injury which made it extremely difficult to walk the stairs. It was over 100 degrees outside and when we entered the room, we were greeted to an extremely hot room which had to of been over 100 degrees too. We immediately turned the A/C on high and left the room. About 3 hours later we came back and the room had only cooled to maybe 90 degrees. Beds were really firm. My daughter slipped in the shower getting in. There was no tub mat or grips and no shower bars either. A week later she still has a bruise on her shoulder. Sleeping was miserable because of the heat. I literally had to put my feet on top of the A/C to feel the cold air. Around 2am the smoke detector in the hall began chirpping and it continued till about 8am. I called the front desk and no one answered. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but we decided we needed to go somewhere else. The room itself was pretty average and mostly clean. The check in staff was nice and the lady we dealt with when we left was very helpful. Apparently my stay was non-refundable, but hotel staff was kind enough to return about 95% of my second night that we were not staying for. We wont be back.

The evening front desk staff forgot to activate the room card, so I had to do a round trip to the front desk from our room location, which was on the opposite side of the hotel. The pool area had a strong smell of refuse trash in the evening when we used it. The pool was missing towels, which required another round trip to the reception desk. The morning front desk lady was not very courteous when I forgot/requested another room key.

My only issue is that the property is built around a central courtyard which has been almost entirely covered in concrete. This causes all noises to be amplified resulting in difficult sleeping without earplugs.

There area was full of prostitutes across street. There is no elevator for handicapped individuals. Found bed bug crawling on pillow. Reported to staff and wanted refund on stay she told me she couldn’t. Had to send email to corporate and manager. Talked to manager and supposedly needs an inspector to come check room. If they don’t find more won’t issue my refund so I will be out my $147.00 and some change. It’s a horrible place to stay.Don’t recommend to stay here at the Quality Inn at 200 Union Ave. Bakersfield,Ca 93307.

Ants in the room. We were offered to move but it was already late and we had unpacked the kids so leaving was not an option. No help no and very confused workers. All staff looked like they had just started their first job ever. So as a mom I had a sweet snack that I placed near the are the ants came in to contain the pests as well as just keep my kiddos safe away from them. Luckily it was only in the bathroom but still a hole big enough to see with the naked eye. And I wear glasses and my blind ass found them

The view was not good from 113. Other rooms have a nice view of the pool. The pet area was just 2 palm trees and a 6x6ft patch of dirt. There was a lot of noise at 5am and this room is right across from the electrical room, which has a conatant high-pitched noise Neither lamp USB charger worked. The room however, was clean and comfy.

Really clean, really nice, updated rooms, and super conveniently located right off the freeway. Property felt safe, water in the shower was hot and had excellent pressure. Wi-Fi was good. My only complaint is there is no fan in the bathroom, so it got really steamy in there. Other than that no complaints -- excellent property and will definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately, I had to move rooms due to finding bed bugs in my room which was an inconvenience. It is also pretty loud due to being close to the highway. It is convenient and the price was low but overall not great.

Room was excessively hot upon arrival. While we don't expect them to overcool an empty room prior to arrival, it wood be nice if it was less than 95 upon arrival. Didn't finally cool off till middle of the night. In this case the nice large room worked against us. Reasonably clean and quiet, but had a hard time getting over the very hot welcome.

I was returning from a Campout and had a lot of personal gear in the open bed of my truck roped down. In the morning as I was checking out I saw that some of my gear had been stolen and the ropes removed. The Hotel had cameras on the parking area. I contacted the day manager to report the theft. She had my gear. Apparently their staff during the night saw the attempted theft and intervened and recovered my gear. Great job on part of the Hotel staff

The hotel has a policy that they lock the lobby but the exit for my room was through the lobby. I had to leave before it opened and was told I had to wait or go out the back and around. I was with my family and had 6 bags. They staff wasn’t nice and rude. Refused to understand my situation.

I arrived, all was good, pool looked great, room was clean. I was there for 3 days, left this morning Monday. I asked for room service first day, front office said ok. I arrived back to room from work, WAS NOT CLEANED..ETC..... I contacted front office, they applogized. 2nd day morning, i asked again front office to have cleaned, they said yes...........WELL AGAIN, WAS NOT DONE..................WHY ?????? I WALKED UP TO TALKED, lady said sorry...again................ they would fix the problem for 3rd day.........damn.... you guess it...........THEY AGAIN, DID NOT CLEAN ROOM........DAMNNNN, AGAIN.........CALLED TO COMPLAIN AGAIN......WHEN ARRIVED FROM WORK. The evening front desk staff forgot to activate the room card, so I had to do a round trip to the front desk from our room location, which was on the opposite side of the hotel. The pool area had a strong smell of refuse trash in the evening when we used it. The pool was missing towels, which required another round trip to the reception desk. The morning front desk lady was not very courteous when I forgot/requested another room key.

I spent 40 mins to do paperwork or pre check in on my phone since i was Arriving past 1 am to just do it again when i got To the property and was waiting 15 mins ringing a doorbell . Guy at counter gave me attitude with a giant stain on shirt and was condescending. Property itself was nice and clean.

It was last minute and cheap but it is the worst part of Bakersfield and the street is notorious it turns out. Would never stay there again. Staff was very nice.

The motel was clean and relatively well appointed with all the basics such as refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and hair dryer. The pool area and courtyard were very well maintained. Overall, the motel itself was fine and the staff was quite pleasant. However, the neighborhood and surrounding area is teeming with meth heads, hookers and the homeless both day and night. My truck was broken into while parked directly in front of the hotel, destroying my tonneau cover and frame in the process. I would strongly recommend choosing another motel in a safer part of town.

Staff was engaging, busy cleaning & I appreciated the granite bathroom countertop & shower backsplash. The breakfast selection was special with many options. Plus being pet friendly & an affordable price thru Expedia. This was the best motel experience I've had since the fall of 2021 when I've been traveling extensively throughout the western USA.

The hotel was located in a bad area. They charge our card $100 which was not disclosed ahead of time. When walking on the floor is barefoot they were still dirty. It’s hard to get luggage upstairs. Nobody offers to help. There’s no carts or anything for taking your luggage. The only thing they really had going for them was the breakfast, which was excellent.

We've stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites Bakersfield several times. Each stay has been great! Staff are excellent - very helpful and accommodating. Room is spacious and comfortable. Some issues this time (hair dryer not functional) - not a deal breaker. Larger mini fridge, microwave, and a BALCONY off our room - always awesome! Area around the property is NOT great! Not the hotel's problem - just is what it is. We wouldn't walk to anywhere from the property after dark... personal choice. Breakfast has been improved over the years. Enjoyed the eggs & sausage offerings, waffles, yogurts, and juices. Time of breakfast is STRICT...6:30am to 9am cut off! Our only suggestion would be to EXTEND the breakfast time to 9:30am? 9am is early... Thanks for another great stay, Quality Inn Bakersfield! We'll be back soon!

The neighborhood around here was interesting to say the least; the staff was nice, this hotel felt like a regular apartment in the San Fernando Valley, parking was ok, i did like there was security around; it did feel a little overpriced, i did have to leave a $200 deposit which was weird, plus they tacked on a hotel service fee of 3.50 for some reason, but whatever; the breakfast was decent: eggs sausage coffee oj bagels etc, they do have a clean pool but it was too cold to enjoy.

My wife and I stayed one night here as a midway point of a trip. The room and inner grounds were nice. The tile floors could have been cleaner, our bare feet were filthy after walking across them. The continental breakfast was above average, with scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles. Although we did not use it there is a very large, well maintained swimming pool. My only complaint would be the location and exterior appearance. The neighborhood is an older commercial area and was certainly not inviting for taking a walk or exploring. Overall, if you are only interested in the room and the motel itself, this is a good stay for the price.

They should tell you there’s a 100.00 deposit on the room that you won’t get back for 5-7 days. That’s pretty lame. They need to sweep the parking lot as well. Staff didn’t seem very knowledgeable either. NEVER AGAIN

The hotel was better than one would expect just based on the location. It’s on a street with many abandoned businesses. The hotel had everything one would expect from a Quality Inn. Inside and outside was clean and comfortable. It was also nice that my room had a balcony

To be fair we checked in after midnight, so maybe it's better... There was so few guests even there and I didn't feel like anyone wanted to help me beyond sharing some written up version of that's expected... There's supposed to be a breakfast but while there was waffle irons, there wasn't any batter, the coffee was gross, and everything else was mid... Maybe because so few guests, but the experience was terrible... We slept there for 5 hours and left and still feel like it was terrible... Way too much money for the amenities... Try something else
