In general, it was fine. But there were a few issues of note: First, the workout facilities were extremely basic. It would be nice to see a little more effort put into them. Second, my first day at the property I was still in bed and a random stranger walked into my room. He was very apologetic and said that the hotel had checked him in to the room. Not cool. That said, the bed was comfortable, rom was spacious and pleasant, breakfast was good, and it's an easy walk to the convention center.

Stayed at hotel for concert, but parking the day before through valet was awful! My car was left in the street waiting to be parked for over an hour. More help during check- in the day before an event close by is recommended to support customers checking in. Also…only one elevator out of 4 was working so there was a horrible line waiting for over 30 minutes for elevator when everyone was checking in. Check in the day before an event should be better prepared for.

We were in town for the Astros game. Parking was a little pricey,($55) but the valet attendants were nice and helpful. Explained the difference from self parking across the street vs the Valet parking offered by them. Check in was fast and welcoming. The room was clean and view was pleasant. It did get hot at times so you would need to drop the temperature. The elevator experience was a little congested at times. After the game: we came back to drop off our things and the line to get on was almost out the door. Went pretty fast though. Now in the morning it’s was the same. I waited a few times due to the once’s that came down were full, when I did fit in one, we stopped at every floor, since ppl were checking out and also going up and down for breakfast (which btw is was a good variety of foods). I went down for coffee and ended up eating since the line to go up the elevator was once again almost out the door. But in all fairness, that’s expected if staying in a hotel who hosts during games. We will definitely be coming back for future games because the walk was only 5 minutes away and we were also 5 minutes away from the discovery green.

My only complaint would be the cleanliness. Carpet in our room was DIRTY to the point I didn’t want to walk it barefoot. Aside that, breakfast was ok. Enough to fulfill you and get you going. It did have several options from cold to hot.

Me and my husband were terrified when we found out we slept with bed bugs!! He found it in the bed in the morning he killed it ,it was full of blood, so nasty! Also when we arrived the shower wasn’t clean there were other people’s hair and I had to clean them up before we take a shower. Honestly I was expecting a lot better from this place.

Staff was very friendly, room service was the worse! Our room didn't get cleaned once, we had to ask for our restroom to get cleaned, waited almost an hour to get towers and we had to call twice for toilet paper.

The front desk was super friendly and helpful. On checkin they gave us some dinner recommendations and on checkout were very accommodating while we left our luggage for a few hours. The room was clean and the breakfasts were yummy and well stocked. The one downside was the amount of street noise we heard at night and we were on the top (14th) floor. But it wasn’t enough to keep me awake. I’d definitely stay here again. Oh and park in the lot across from the entrance for overnight parking for $30 as an option to the valet $60. But it’s only good from 530p-930a and they will put a boot on if you go over.

The rooms have a really strong chemical/cleaner smell that’s impossible to get used to. Upon arrival the toilet in the room didn’t flush and I had to issue a service order. The shower lost water pressure throughout my showers each day, basically turning off completely. I stayed here a year ago and had similar issues.

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Baseball centric being right down the street and what I was in town for. My only complaint is that it’s very loud outside the hotel and you can hear everything. After the game I had an early flight the next day and, cars, trolleys, music, people and more were heard until 2 in the morning. Felt like I was living in a collage apt building with paper walls again.

I didn't like the fact that there was no microwave in the room. We have to come down to warm our food. I DIDN'T LIKE THAT. Also the parking is payable. Red flag for that one too. Overall , I like the room , the environment.

All of the people I interacted with, especially the valets were wonderful. The room was clean and spacious. The only downside was that it is a somewhat noisy location since it's in downtown Houston. More specifically, the outlets in the room gave off a high-pitched noise most of the time. I think it was the TV.

I cannot remember the valet’s name but he was very accommodating. The valet was calm but responsive during the fender bender between the two Metro buses. He checked on everyone and assessed the situation. Wolf was friendly and knowledgeable. Hotel was clean and breakfast was great.

Someone came in my room without so much as a knock or verbal announcement. When he saw my husband he excited. Completely unacceptable and highly concerning. I’d love for someone to pull the camera footage to see the incident as a whole. I was not only terrified, but completely disgusted.

Check in was very slow. Four people behind the desk but only one was dealing with customers. She must have been new because there was another employee helping her through the process. I had requested connecting rooms but didn’t get them and wasn’t given a reason why. Same speed in the morning for check out. Not as many people behind desk but pretty much same philosophy as check in. Reservation was made a couple of weeks before our stay. Everything else was good. Valet service is top notch.

Was in town just for a night. At check in, I asked about a late checkout. The front desk advised that she could do a noon late checkout. That was perfect! Gave me a chance to sleep in after driving for the last 5 hours and checking in close to 1 am. However, that didn’t go as planned. At 10:30 am, I received a call from the front desk who left the line open while talking to a customer and completely forgetting they dialed my phone number. Then 30 mins later, house keeping knocking at my door. So I jumped up at this point to let her know i had a late checkout. Then wouldn’t you know it, 11:30, I get another knock at the door. Again, it’s house keeping. Where is the communication in this place. No one talks to anybody. Yeah last time I stay at this place. They seem to apply pressure to get you out. I recommend finding another place to stay if your plans are to sleep in.

Check-in is a breeze. Valet parking is quick, efficient, and friendly. Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, as well. This hotel is conveniently located near Minute Maid Park. A quick walk to their Union Station gate.

8/10 Stay! Loved the hotel, hated the breakfast options. I know that doesn’t say much about the hotel itself but most, if not all, Hampton Inns have great complimentary breakfast. This one not so much and the coffee was always warm/cold. Otherwise, it was a pleasure. Great hotel view!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton. The service was amazing. The drinks at the bar, food at the restaurant, and dessert later were all delicious. The breakfast was full of great options from yogurt to waffles. Valet service was pricey but efficient.
