As a women traveling alone- I looked for a hotel that offered valet parking. In my ignorance, I wasn’t aware that it wasn’t available at all hours. I had to park my car in the garage at 2am alone- which defeated the purpose of the valet parking. Other than that slight inconvenience everything else was amazing! I will definitely return.

The valet team greeted us with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for what would become an unforgettable stay. The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. In celebration of our anniversary, they upgraded our room to a suite—and it was absolutely glorious! Spacious, elegant, and with breathtaking views, it truly made our trip feel extra special. The on-site dining options are impressive, but the sushi restaurant is an absolute must-try—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The spa experience was equally amazing. I highly recommend the deep tissue massage for total relaxation. The salon was top-notch as well. The pool area, the jacuzzi, and the bar service all exceeded expectations. Everywhere you turn, there’s something to enjoy, and the hospitality is consistent throughout. If you’re staying in the capital area, this hotel is a must. This hotel offers an excellent level of service and it has been refurbished in every respect since my last visit. The new look and improved services reflect its reputation and tradition of high quality. Amenities are exceptional (gym, spa, pool) and the location near Mirador Park and shopping is the best in the city. Highly recommended.

Las camas tenían un perfume muy fuerte. La habitación limpia. Estábamos en el piso 22, pero no nos informaron que había en el piso 21 un happy hours de 6 pm en adelante así que no lo disfrutamos y un lugar para desayunar hasta las 11. Volvería a quedarme ya sabiendo esto. El spa super genial, la Sra Sara excelente. El salón deben limpiarlo mejor, estaba muy sucio y con mal olor.

Intercontinental did not disappoint:) We are used to the Embassy Suites and while the buffet breadsticks is better there, this hotel is immaculately kept and the service was great! Clean and the bathroom was beautiful! Will return!

Great property very nice size room very clean. and outstanding service. I fell at the shower and hurt my back, the hotel manager provided me with a hotel transportation and a personal security/ translator to take me to the hospital, stayed with me the all 5 hours then went and got me my medical, and was checking on me all rest of the day. I’ll definitely be back.

I travel to the Dominican Republic very frequently on Business. One of my favorite places has always been the Intercontinental hotel. The staff has always been wonderful. But on this occasion the front office manager Olaine Morillo was extremely rude and very unpolite. She would not allow my wife to even finish a sentence or express our dissatisfaction with the fact that Ms. Morillo attempted to sell us an additional room to accommodate our two minor children because according to her the rooms capacity was only 4 people. After a few exchanges MS. Morillo offred us the option to pay an additional fee of $30.00 per person to stay in the same two rooms that we had already booked. We were more comfortable with this option that should of been offered initially. Olaine Morillo offered us to pay an additional $435.00 to upgrade to connecting rooms and adding an additional room. While the issue was solved with $60.00. This was the first and only negative experience at the Intercontinental. Very poor attitude and behavior on the part of the front office manager.

Nos llevamos uno a la habitación, fue el tiramisú y se sentía dañado. Cuando llegué al restaurante en el desayuno había un señor con acento, él fue muy educado, nos recibió muy bien pero ya los meseros nada que ver. Llame dos veces a servicio de habitacion solicitando algunas cosas y fueron muy eficiente.

Front desk failed to verify our reservation included breakfast so, we missed the first morning. Glad I went back next day an another clerk was able to verify our breakfast was part of the reservation. They didn't even offer anything for their mistake in making us buy breakfast from some other place.

Really nice Intercontinental Hotel. Excellent service in every area. I told them that my wife required gluten free options for the breakfast and they did great. They placed an incredible assortment of goodies in the room and gave her a card to present at the breakfast buffet. They went beyond what we expected and were truly impressed.
