Lazy river view from our room on the 22nd floor was incredible! Would stay here again - spacious room. Infinity pool + lazy river + hot tub = luxury resort ! Area around is not so great though. $65 valet worth it as the self park area was sketchy - homeless a block from hotel.

AC in room didn’t work, had to move rooms. Self parking access passes didn’t work twice so had hard time getting in and out garage. Lazy river had no moving pressure, really was just a big skinny pool. Nice area though and view. And was double charged parking.

Way too over priced. Valet was extortion took 45 minutes to get our vehicle despite calling ahead of time. Our room was near the “engine” room for the elevators. We heard the motors running for our entire stay. The pool side food was ok drinks were highly overpriced.

We were very disappointed and shocked when we arrived for our weekend. Stay to find out that the majority of the chairs around the pool area that had cushions on them are a fee. $55 for four hours. Seems outrageous when you’ve already paid a facility fee to use the pool. In addition, one of the men that were renting the chairs offered to “reserve it through my phone, and you just reimburse me directly” this seem to be kind of a scam to me . Next, even though it is in the rules of the pool area, there were at least five people we saw wearing very small thong, bathing suits with all of their rear exposed. It explicitly says in the rules that that is prohibited, and we reported it, but nothing happened. Additionally, midday a DJ was set up with extremely loud speakers that made it impossible to have a conversation with the person next to you. And finally, we observed throughout the day that many people went without chairs, but the costly chairs went unrented.

Beautiful hotel. Check it with parking was very slow. The hallways on my floor were quite dirty. Garbage bags were in the hall. The pool was very beautiful, though the pool is open to the public to buy passes. The pool had a DJ playing the worst music extremely loud. It was not overly relaxing.

This property was very nice, clean, and located in a safe, great area of the city. The pool, hot tub, and gym areas were so nice. When traveling to Houston again, this is definitely where we will stay again.

Very centrally located hotel in the heart of downtown Houston. Huge luxurious lobby and plenty of lifts. The night light show around the pool area during Christmas, looked magical. We received a free upgrade to a corner room on a higher floor overlooking the pool as Marriott members, which was appreciated. Valet was quick and efficient (at $65 per day it is expected to be). Unfortunately, the room and hallway carpets were not clean which is not a good first impression and do not justify the prices they charge. The bathrooms were tiny and not at all luxurious. The bedding had various pieces of lint all over, indicating lack of attention to their guests' experience. The in-room couch was brown from wear and tear. There was CONSTANT door banging in surrounding rooms by both housekeeping and guests. This property could learn from similar downtown properties in dynamic cities such as Dubai or Tokyo where cleanliness, ambiance and first impressions are afforded priority and workers take pride in their work. This hotel is definitely not worth the prices they charge but the location is the highlight.

Overall we had a wonderful time. The welcome mimosa was a pleasant surprise. Checkin was a nightmare. There were only 2 representatives working and many employees standing around talking to each other with no care to assist guests standing in line. The lobby area was full and very loud. We did receive an upgrade that was very much appreciated. The room had an amazing view of the pool and city! The bedroom area and living room were very clean. The bathroom was rather gross. The tile in the shower was disgusting and seemed to have mold growing. The shower door did not close all the way and allowed water to drain out onto the bathroom floor making a wet mess. The calk was missing around the bottom of the glass enclosure and looked awful. The pool is amazing and very well kept. Drink are priced around $10 and the service was good. The pools are very clean and kept at a very comfortable temperature. There were no drunk or obnoxious people. This may be the nicest pool I have ever been in. Staying open until 10pm is a big plus! Minute Maid park is 1 block away and very easy to walk to. Traffic in the area is not bad and there is easy access to the freeway. Biggio's inside the hotel offers a nice selection of food and drinks and is nicely priced. Pay to valet you vehicle! They had out vehicle waiting within 10 minutes. Overall, this is a nice property that we will stay at again. I hope they do some deep cleaning in the rooms.

Possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at; - the shampoo dispenser didn’t work - the ac unit was extremely slow at cooling. Took all night to reach temp. - the walls are extremely thing I could hear every little noise outside the door. -the windows were really thin too could hear cars doing donuts all night long -the elevator was extremely noisy and I happens to be next to it which included all night long The pool - the pool is nice -I had rented a cabana and the email specified it came with free water and snacks. No one gave me the free stuff until nearly 2.5hrs later into our 4.5 hr rental. I had to ask multiple people never got help. The writer never even checked on us. Luckily I saw the manager walking by which made things right for us and even bought us dinner. I believe the manager name was Anthony? Anyway he was by far the best manager to deal with and made the night better thanks to him. Overall though the hotel is not worth the rental price if I had to say so myself. I don’t recommend it and I don’t think I would stay again. Not for the price is cost at least

The room service at 11PM on July 04th was very dissapointing. I asked for a pizza and the sauce was sour. My husband asked for a medium term hamburger and the meat was burnt. Unable to be eaten. I complained and the staff removed the bill from our checkout but it was an unpleasant experience. The AC was not calibrated. We had to sleep at 65degrees and we were all sweating, my baby woke up several times during the night due the heat. The doors have around 2inches of space from the ground, therefore, we could hear everything on the aisles like if the people were inside our room. I'm not sure why the design is so wrong. the rooms should be as noise cancelling as possible. I would not be staying here again, the lazy river and the activities during the day were fun but it's not worth the rest of the negative things. Very dissapointed on the Marriot.

Hotel is awesome. Check in staff is working very well and quick. Room was on high floor and we can observe all city. Room was clean and convenient with one king bed and sofa. Tv was huge. Room service was good too. Pool was great with music and good waiter who served very quickly with snacks and cocktails. We had great fun in the pool. Thank you all hotels members

Only negative not is the TV. Not that we were in our room a lot but the TV audio would de sync and if you turned the tv off to fix it, it would mess they tv up and would take a while to get it working again

We were down for a volleyball tournament. The hotel and crowd were very family-friendly. It is connected to the convention center and a self-parking garage, so it's safe and easy, no matter the time of day or weather. The staff was all extremely nice, efficient, and helpful. They were SLAMMED at the valet when we arrived Friday night due to a gala they were hosting and terrible weather, so the line for that was pretty long and slow because there were just so many people. Once we got to the hotel, though, the staff quickly got us in the building and checked us in. We ordered extra linens and room service. Both were delivered in less time than they said it would take. With the number of people who were in the hotel, I expected long wait times and frazzled staff. We saw none of the pressure of them being packed and busy. We are staying there again this weekend for another tournament.

We have stayed here before and love the rooms and pool but this trip made us unsure if we will be back. We ordered room service and waited over 3.5 hrs and never received it. We had called at about an 1.5 hrs and was told it wouldn’t be much longer… then at 2.5 hrs we asked to cancel and the desk told us that they would have the food runner give us an update and we never heard from them. So at just over 3.5 hrs we went to the lobby to request it be cancelled so we could go to bed. Upon checkout we couldn’t receive a clear answer from staff if it would be cancelled and refunded to our card and they didn’t look into it. Very unpleased with the service this time around.

We got to the hotel early and were able to get our room very early and head to the pool. We had a great server at the pool and was so surprised she put a note under our door thanking us. We have never had that happen. We had drinks at Cava and the bartender was outstanding. Overall experience was one of the best I have had.

We were not impressed with the staff. No one offered or help to bring our luggage in upon arrival. Check in line was long. The room was very basic considering it was $500 a night. The service just didn’t match the cost.

Fantastic hotel! 5-stars no doubt. I had an excellent experience with the hotel and restaurant staff! Everyone from the room service to the valet were very friendly. Food and drinks were amazing. The rooftop amenities really made a huge difference. Best roof top bar and pool I’ve ever seen!

The lobby is spacious and inviting. We enjoyed the pool for a couple hours and had lunch at the pool side restaurant. It was a busy day and food and drinks took a long time to come out once ordered. Rooms are a comfortable size and clean. We will stay here again.

We have stayed here before and love the rooms and pool but this trip made us unsure if we will be back. We ordered room service and waited over 3.5 hrs and never received it. Biggio’s was fine. But there’s a conference in town and the service took literally hours. We went to the other hotel bar, we had four drinks in total very, very expensive. The Texas lazy river was pretty cool, not exactly what I’d hoped for but still kind of a cool novelty feature. Hot tub was pretty dirty and a little grimy no service on the rooftop bar, but there was a actual bar that we could walk up to.
