What an INCREDIBLE stay at the Canto. From the moment we arrived Marco greeted us and showed us to a beautiful and immaculate 2 bedroom luxury apartment for my family of 5 to spend 3 magical days and nights in Florence. The location is exceptional, the units are roomy and clean, and you can be anywhere in the city within a few minutes walk. I cannot recommend this place more. One drawback is there is no lift as it is a historic building but for us that wasn’t a problem. Marco is THE BEST!

There are 60 steps to get to the floor that these hotel rooms are on. Do not stay here if you have any limitations at all for physical activity. There is an additional flight of stairs to get to the bedroom and bathroom with two additional steps to the bathroom. It was hard to navigate at night. Ok if 20-45 yrs old and fit. No better options. Ruined my vacation!

Great property right in the heart of everything. Dining, shopping, and transportation options galore. Short walk to the train station. The only downfall was the stairs to get to the room with luggage (especially the way my wife packs) but that is normal in Italy. The owners were very helpful. Would absolutely recommend.

The property is a collection of apartments managed by Alessio and Marco. They were communicative and made check in and out very easy. Our room was lovely and spacious with kitchenette, bathroom, dining/living room area, and separate bedroom. The unit had every amenity we could imagine. Once you walk outside, you are in front of two restaurants. We ate at one, which was our best meal in Florence. If you turn left, you are 2 minutes away from Ponte Vecchio, 4 minutes from Palazzo Vecchio, and 8 minutes away from the Duomo. You could not hope to be more centrally located. I would recommend this property to any of my family or friends visiting the area. The only consideration is that there is no elevator and many stairs to get to your unit. I would avoid it you have any physical impairment.

We arrived after hours, but Marco provided us with excellent instructions with photos on how to enter the building and arrive at our room. One thing to note, there's no elevator (lift) on the property and the rooms are up three flights of stairs. Take your time on the stairs, especially with luggage. The room was great! Cleaned daily with fresh towels and the staff was polite and professional. Everything is within walking distance. Incredible sites, restaurants, shopping and the train station, which we used for a day trip to Verona. My wife and I loved Florence and felt safe everywhere we went. Highly recommend Canto Degli Scali for anyone traveling to Florence.

Property was beautifully designed and decorated. Daily cleaning without asking the front desk. Property is walkable to all major city sights. Only downfall is there are a lot of stairs and no elevator. The staff assist with bringing luggage to and from room without even asking. Overall and excellent stay!!

It was such a pleasant experience staying at this property. Well equipped, lovely staff and services, and amazing location. My only complaint was that it was a 4th floor walk up- thankfully the owner of the property helped carrying the suitcase up and down. We got bitten by mosquitos a lot while staying here but I think it's the city's problem, not the hotel's. Our room was impeccable and I recommend this place to anyone who is healthy to walk up the stairs.

Absolutely gorgeous, clean, and comfortable apartment on a quiet,14th century street just blocks from Ponte Vecchia, shopping, and everything you could want to see and experience in Florence. This place is incredible. It’s a walk up apartment, so you need to climb some steps—and it is absolutely worth it. Best place we have ever stayed. Love.

A 5 mn à pieds du ponté Vecchio et pour autant une ruelle au calme de la foule. Hôte extrêmement agréable et serviable. Nous recommandons chaleureusement.

We had a 4 night stay here. The location is so convenient. You are so close to all the attractions and also all the lovely shops. The owners were really helpful with recommendations before arriving and during our stay. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed is really comfortable. Loved staying there. Thank you.

Great location in the middle of all that you need to do in Florence. Everything is walkable from here. Even the train station. Very clean and a nice full kitchen. Even provided a free shopping tote bag that we used on the rest of our trip through Italy.

We loved our stay! The place was perfect for our family of four. The place was clean, beds were comfortable, and the AC worked amazingly (we were in Florence with temperatures in upper 90s in fahrenheit). The location was convenient to various sites, restaurants, etc. In addition, there were thoughtful welcome boxes, and we loved how the place was decorated. We would definitely stay here again!

This a perfect little apartment in a central part of the city. It’s quiet, it’s comfortable, and the air conditioning is perfect! Although we didn’t use the little kitchen, it had everything one would need to make small meals. Marco was awesome! He made dinner reservations for us on our anniversary and made sure we enjoyed our stay!

Lots of luxury features. The kitchen was awesome. I liked being able to close off the bedroom from the rest of the place so I didnt disturb my partner early in the morning.

We had a wonderful time in Florence. Our accommodations were lovely. Close to everything. Only wish they had more comfortable chairs in living area. Only one couch and we were 4 people, two more soft chairs would have been perfect.

I will definitely return to Canto degli Scali on my next trip to Florence. Marco was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond when I made an error in my reservation date. The property is beautiful. I have stayed in two of the apartments and found them both to be extremely spacious and beautifully appointed. The bedding and linens were so comfortable. I wanted to sleep in each day :-) The location was just perfect, as it is only a block away from all of the shopping and very close to the city center. It was also an ideal location because it was not in the middle of the city, which ensured that it was quiet in the evenings. There is a lovely restaurant directly across from the property where we had many perfect dinners. I could not recommend the property enough!

Marco, Marco, Marco — he’s your guy! You won’t find a better host anywhere. His place and hospitality are truly unforgettable. We stayed in the Tower unit, and every detail showed how much care and love went into creating this space. You’ll be amazed at how far they’ve gone to make it feel like a true luxury 5-star experience.

Great property to stay while in Florence. Marco was very attentive and because we had large bags, scheduled transportation to and from the train station. Coffee and cookies were available to us. This is a great location because everything is within a 10 minute walk. We would come back to the apartment when we needed to use the restroom, drop off purchases we made, or just to take a break. Hot showers and cold air conditioning. Some may not like the stairs you need to take to get to the top floor, however, when you come to Italy, stairs will be anywhere you go. It just comes with the trip. The hosts were attentive and accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay here again when in Florence.
Great property to stay while in Florence. Marco was very attentive and because we had large bags, scheduled transportation to and from the train station. Coffee and cookies were available to us. This is a great location because everything is within a 10 minute walk. We would come back to the apartment when we needed to use the restroom, drop off purchases we made, or just to take a break. Hot showers and cold air conditioning. Some may not like the stairs you need to take to get to the top floor, however, when you come to Italy, stairs will be anywhere you go. It just comes with the trip. The hosts were attentive and accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay here again when in Florence.

The property is a collection of apartments managed by Alessio and Marco. They were communicative and made check in and out very easy. Our room was lovely and spacious with kitchenette, bathroom, dining/living room area, and separate bedroom. The unit had every amenity we could imagine. Once you walk outside, you are in front of two restaurants. We ate at one, which was our best meal in Florence. If you turn left, you are 2 minutes away from Ponte Vecchio, 4 minutes from Palazzo Vecchio, and 8 minutes away from the Duomo. You could not hope to be more centrally located. I would recommend this property to any of my family or friends visiting the area. The only consideration is that there is no elevator and many stairs to get to your unit. I would avoid it you have any physical impairment.

We had a 4 night stay here. The location is so convenient. You are so close to all the attractions and also all the lovely shops. This is one of the best locations where we slept in Florence. It’s in the middle of the city, close to everything you would like to see or do. The appartement is in a small street and is a mix of old and new. Everything was perfect and the owners really think of every little thing. We loved our stay! We stayed in the 1 bedroom and it was great. Kitchen had everything needed. The living room has a pullout sofa with a comfortable bed. Bathroom has a nice big rainfall shower. Alessio was great and promptly met us on arrival to give us a tour of the property. The area is in the heart of the city and perfect location one block from the Ponte Vecchio. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The apartment was charming, convenient and Alessio was accommodating in every way. We loved the coffee, sparkling and still water provided and the A/C was fantastic in the heat of the summer. The location was great and everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. All the extra touches (robes, slippers, maps, restaurant recommendations, extra drinks in the fridge, little teddy bear soap for my toddler, etc.) are awesome. Breakfast included at near by restaurant is great too. Overall best hotel we've stayed at in Italy. There's a carousel 5 mins walk away that my toddler loves also.

With an included breakfast and daily housekeeping, and boasting incredible views, sophisticated decor, playful touches of sweets, locally and ethically sourced amenities throughout (soaps, wines), a welcome basket with a reusable bag and letter, flat screen smart TV, air conditioning, a stocked mini-fridge, and slippers and robes…..this place was top notch. Future guests should be advised that there is no elevator in the building and you must walk a few flights of stairs. The proprietors are sommeliers and have left several bottles of Italian wine in the room, if you enjoy drinking wine.
