Arabella Laguna

The property has a good location but almost everything else is sub par. The furniture is oversized to where you can’t get dressed in the bedroom because the bed takes up the entire room. The bathroom was terrible. It has a claw foot tub with a shower head 4 feet tall and a vinyl liner that can’t close completely causing water to splash out all over the floor. On closer inspection we saw black mold behind the tub. The cleaners obviously don’t clean there. The whole place smells musty and our throats were getting scratchy. We asked to be moved but they couldn’t accommodate that even after we told them about experiencing effects from mold. They ignored us. This is not something that just happened. It has been going on for an extended period of time with no concern. Don’t know how they got a high rating. Save yourself a disappointing experience and book somewhere else

We enjoyed our stay at Arabella Laguna. We received an early check in which was so appreciated. Some items to note. There are steep stairs to most units so make sure and ask for a lower one if that is an issue. The courtyard is lovely and we had breakfast there every morning. Instacart delivered the items within one hour of checking in. And there is a Pavillions 1 block away. There is no ice, but small fridges kept things cold. There is a wall air conditioner in only one of the rooms so on the hot days it worked extra hard and could not really cool more than the master bedroom. The other two rooms were cooled with ceiling fans. There is road noise, so bring earplugs if that bothers you. We loved the location a short walk to beach, coffee, shops and had a fun meal at Royal Hawaiian. Connie was very responsive when the tree trimmers used our parking spots and they moved quickly. The beds were comfortable and the unit charming.

Our host Connie was extremely rude, I was losing connection while speaking to her over the phone regarding a early check in and when I told her the call was breaking up nicely, she irritably screamed into the phone what she had to say. Later when we asked for the wifi password she was also very rude about it I mentioned please and thank you when asking for it in the message to her and she still told me to say please?? Also the place was advertised slightly bigger which was a let down. Also the floor had damage to where you could see into the subfloor. The room was also not cleaned throughly because we found someone’s dirty underwear they left behind. Disgusting. I can give that the location was placed very closely to the beach and lots of pots, pans and utensils. But overall not the best stay.

Beautiful cottage, cozy, comfortable, very well-equipped with thoughtful details. Well-appointed, decorated very tastefully with gorgeous antique furniture and art. The kitchen was also well-equipped and the surrounding gardens are so beautiful and well-kept. Also, only 3-5 minute walk to the beach. Just lovely and beautiful, we hope to return soon as a family. Also, Connie was very helpful and communicative. 10/10!

Very nice place, landscaping was beautiful. Kitchen had everything you could need
