Did not enjoy my stay, I actually had to sleep on the couch in my room cause the bed was so uncomfortable. Will not stay here ever again parking was $70 per night, plus all the fees they charge you is crazy dont expect to get your holding fees back they still take that money in fees daily. DTLA is overpriced and overrated the city is dirty.

Best views of the city from the 70th floor hotel lobby and bar. Incredible sunset views as well! Nice surprise to see the luxury toiletries by fragrance house, Byredo! What a treat! The rooms were spacious and clean. The view from the 70th floor lobby is amazing. The staff are very friendly and attentive. However, it was very noisy and I could not sleep. When I checked in, I had asked for a quiet room location if possible because I'm a light sleeper. The room they gave me was next to a service elevator that you can hear, especially late at night and early in the morning - repeated noise. And the hotel is right next to the freeway - I could see the freeway from my window and can hear the rumbling traffic noise. The walls seem to be well insulated (can't hear other guests) but the windows are not thick enough - you can hear the sirens from emergency vehicles and the traffic outside very loudly. One other thing - you must go through the 70th floor lobby to go to your room and for exiting (all rooms are below 70th floor) - so my room was on the 42nd floor - to exit the hotel, I had to take the elevator up to the 70th floor then walk to a different area and take a different elevator to go down to first floor exit. To go back to my room, I had to take the elevator all the way up to the 70th floor, walk over to the other set of elevators and take it down to my room. If you want easy access and exit, this hotel is inconvenient.

The check in process was horrible. We spent almost an hour to check in with Rick, he was giving us a regular room when we purchased a corner suite, he did not provide any details about the hotel facilities and asked us to be flexible with the room we’ll get because they were full. My husband did not agree since we paid extra when booking to get a bigger room, and after almost an hour standing at the lobby coming from a long flight he got us the room we booked. We also spent days to get a confirmation for our Spire73 reservation. Staff should be better trained!!

The hotel itself is nice, staff are friendly and the lobby has a great view of LA. The rooms are fair condition, however the surrounding area being downtown LA is not the best at night. During the day it’s fine, at nighttime you find a different scene. It’s still safe however some may still feel uncomfortable. Overall if you need to stay in downtown LA it’s a good option.

Very disappointed, to start they have a sign at the entrance of the parking lot saying self parking since now they charge 71.50 a day for valet i decided to go self parking once i was there a bunch of employees told me I had to go to valet since I am staying at the hotel, they don’t have the buffet anymore so now they serve breakfast at la boucherie which is a smaller restaurant so I waited about 20 minutes to get a table another 15 minutes for a waiter and another 20 plus minutes for the food, the service at the spire was great, the next day we had dinner at la boucherie which is steak house everyone was helpful the steak was great so a manager called Adriana Mercado asked how was everything I told her was very happy but I too bad during breakfast the service is lousy so she apologized and said she was going to make sure we have good service the next day and yes she was there service was good we still waited a while for the food so she gave us some fruit while we waited, bottom line the prices went up and less employees obviously theirs Bussines is going downhill since now they have only two restaurants instead three restaurants that they had before, good thing Lyn a bartender at the lobby lounge was exceptional like always I really miss her when she was at the bar by the pool which now they not even have a blender, i don’t know if we’ll be back

Not happy with my stay, I asked for a crib and didn’t give any blankets and it was spotty, also only had one bathrobe and 1 pair or slippers and fridge had no room for us to put OUR items, it was only stocked up with their items and if you moved them (cause of sensor) you’ll be charged. Overpriced, views were meh, and staff were rude- never again!! If you’re going for the view you’re better off going to US bank and enjoy their beautiful lounge area and kind and friendly staff. The only good experience was at the restaurant and even then breakfast is over priced, you’re better off going to central market or elsewhere for two meals paying the same you would pay for one here. Basic coffee and food. It’s all hype.

Amazing hotel. Beautiful views of the city. Check in was smooth and quick. Only thing that took a couple of times to understand was how their elevators work. You have to go to the 70th floor every time ( where the lobby is), before transferring elevators to the ground floor. This wasnt a big deal tho as you quickly realize why they set it up like this. They have a bar and kitchen at the lobby as well. They have 2 restaurants as well which had pretty decent food. The breakfast at Le Beaucherie was AMAZING. Highly recommend.

The food and beverage is really subpar. Lobby loynge is ok. Spire 73 service non existent. La Boucherie is painfully slow, food below average, prices exorbitant. IHG has a big job to do. Get rid of the qr code menus in the lounges.

The valet team was the best part of our stay—Jared especially was friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome every time. Unfortunately, that level of service didn’t extend to the front desk, where we were brushed off more than once despite being the only guests in line. The food was also a letdown. For the price and hotel caliber, we expected better. We dined at Spire 73 twice and both times the meals lacked flavor. The steaks were bland, and the salad was made with less-than-fresh ingredients. Another frustration: there were no accessible meeting spaces for guests. We had to work out of the lobby despite plenty of unused conference rooms onsite. Great valet, but overall, not an experience I’d return for.

I had an issue with the final bill, but it was resolved after a few message exchanges. However, I was uncomfortable with the automatic 18% service charge added to all food services. On some days, I didn’t feel the service justified that amount. 15% would have been more reasonable. It felt like this fixed rate discouraged the staff from going the extra mile. Overall, I don’t believe the experience was worth the price.

Hotel is very nice and clean but there are a few cons that were very annoying during our stay. First, if you need to exit the hotel for any reason (from your hotel room), you must first go UP to the Lobby on the 70th floor and THEN take another set of elevators to get off on the 1st floor. During busy times like this last week, there were very long lines to take the elevators to the ground floor. Additionally there were long lines to check-in/out as well. Also, if you request plates and or silverware to your room from room service, they charge you $2 per item! Insane! There’s no option of requesting a microwave in the room for a fee. There are no water stations to fill your bottles unless you go down to the Gym ( you’ll get stuck in the long lines for the elevators). Breakfast options weren’t great for Vegetarians. Lastly, the area around the hotel can be a bit sketchy with many homeless people around and the roads/sidewalks are filthy. On the plus side, there are several excellent food choices around the hotel so that was great! We won’t be coming back to this location again

Staff scolded us for seating ourselves for breakfast instead of waiting long time while others coming later than us being seated in front of us. Valet parking: our car took 30 min to arrive while others' in couple of minutes. Kept asking the staff and they told us it's coming shortly.
