Friendly staff greeted us on our arrival, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean, basically furnished, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and very tasty. The live music on Friday night was very good and not too loud. I would highly recommend the Cambridge Ibis hotel for a weekend break.

Breakfast is very good. Handicapped room is big and clean. Very few amenities. Only two bath towels and nothing else. No Kleenex, body lotion. Two elevators but one was out of order the time we were there. Price was good.

It's hard to explain how nice this was. First it was so convenient - just steps away from the train. Second there is a lovely coffee shop for a lobby. It was open late into the night for guests - maybe all night, I don't know. The coffee shop/lobby was well lit with comfy couches and tables and games and books and even a guitar and it just felt warm and cozy and inviting. The room was sort of cookie cutter - not luxury but not shabby either. It was very clean and surprisingly very quiet (surprising to me as train station was so nearby) and had just exactly what I needed. No extras really, but a comfy bed, good desk to work at and such. I traveled alone and will definitely stay here again. There were other shops just step away where I picked up a few toiletries I'd forgotten to pack. In the morning they offered a breakfast one floor above the lobby but I can't comment on it as I didn't eat there. After I checked out, they were happy to hold my bags for the rest of the day until I took a train out of the city.

Good location by Cambridge station. Good breakfast, cafe open all day. Limited restaurant food choice, but I didn't use it. The only downside for me was the comfort of the bed - the 2nd night was painful lying on either side.

Very conveniently located next to the railway station and bus stops. A 20 minute walk into centre or U1, U2 bus for £2. Staff excellent. Bed comfortable. Housekeeping on this occasion not the best but adequate. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly greeting even though they were busy and I got checked in straight away even though I was early. Room was really far from the lift. Room was fine but bed was not comfy, I took the extra pillows down from the wardrobe as I normally sleep with lots and the bags they were in were very dusty. When I went for my shower the next morning the shower mat was dirty, photo attached. Breakfast servers were grumpy.

The location is great and the staff were kind at reception and bar area. The cleaning staff needs to be taught how to clean a room. I was there for four days and when I arrived the coffee cup in my room and the spoon for tea was dirty. I turned it up and put it on the desk so that they would replace it. All they did was put it back in the original place without cleaning or replacing so the next day I put it in the bathroom same thing they just kept putting it back and it wasn’t even my dirty cup. It was from a previous guest. Plus for four days no one so much as wiped the bathroom counter down.

Enjoyable stay. Great breakfast. Clean room and comfortable bed. Good value for money. Soundproof room also. Disappointed in the heating unit/ air conditioner. November is a cold month and the room was cool. No heat from the unit itself, just a fan blowing air.

Love the location, staff was very nice. Bed was comfortable. Rooms are streamlined ; no safe or refrigerator. Thermostat and heating system did not seem to work properly, but staff provided a space heater which was very helpful.

Wifi is unacceptably bad and the TV won't even load the TV guide. The bathroom is stupid as has a step and a door which only pulls shut, so you can't close it quietly. Fine if you're on your own, not if you are sharing and its the middle of the night!! £190 for rubbish wifi and a rock solid bed just isn't ok.

The Cambridge Ibis is ideal if you arrive by train -- just a minute from the station. Typical Ibis decore, and I could not move the shower head although it was on a vertical rail. Bed quite firm but I slept well.

For convenience to the station this cannot be beaten. Whilst out of the window you can see almost a depot of trains, you can hear nothing from the outside. The whole place is new and well designed and the staff seemed happy and motivated. The only TINY downside was the really thin cheap toilet paper. I’m sure for a small upgrade in your cost the guest would appreciate something a little more robust! Would I come again - hell yes. It’s amazing

Sadly one of the worst checkin experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. The person checking me in had such poor English language skills that everything had to be explained three times. Then they couldn’t find my booking on their system at all. Then eventually when they did somebody else had to take over and finally I got a room number. Sadly within 10 minutes I was back at reception as they had given me a room that somebody else was staying in and it was full of their luggage - although to be fair I was offered a free drink. Such a shame as I’ve used this hotel before. I’m not sure I will again.

The room was clean and comfortable but did get a bit chilly at night. However, the staff could not have been lovelier. Working Xmas and Boxing Day; they made a special effort. When we grabbed a coffee and they overheard it was my Dad’s birthday (89), four if the team later came over with a muffin, lit candle and a bar of chocolate, singing happy birthday. They continued to be really attentive, very pleasant and genuinely a caring group of people. Would be an asset to any front facing service.

The hotel is in a convenient place as I was taking rail trips to nearby places. I've stayed there before recently and my stay was great (which is why I went back). This timne felt like harder work. There was often a log jam at reception, which made check in and even asking questions really slow. The wifi went down and it was impossible to get an answer about it - I gave up. The wall mechanism on my toilet was also malfunctioning. I reported it at check out to someone on my floor and was told it happens alot!

Everything was good except they made us leave the lobby when we were eating outside food. I understand the lobby has a restaurant but the vegan options they had weren't prepared separately so they could easily be cross contaminated. My guest and I were eating food and talking when the rep came and told us we had to leave or go up to the room. This was not handled properly.

I stay at the Ibis two or three times a year. This time, they dropped the ball. I arrived late in the evening and they had given away my room. Same happened to my colleague. They said it was due to electrical problems in our rooms, but it was strange and I didn’t quite believe the story. I believe they overbooked and since we arrived late at night, the rooms were gone.They sent us to another hotel that was very far and my room had a twin bed. The air conditioner was broken, and there was no hot water in the bathroom. Seriously? This has me questioning my loyalty to ibis in Cambridge. At least offer some sort of monetary reimbursement or a food voucher as well.

Stayed one night Hotel is clean and the room met expectations. Note that Ibis rooms are typically on the small side. Breakfast was included and the selection was good. The train station and botanical gardens are close but the historic colleges are a 20 to 30 minute walk.

Very convenient, just located next to the Cambridge train station. And there are supermarket &some restaurants nearby. Just next to the taxi stop of Cambridge station, also close to bus stop, so is very convenient to travel to Cambridge city centre (fyi walkable distance for around 20-30 minutes). Staff are nice and willing to explain & help. The room is neat and tidy, suitable & would recommend for short stay.

Very impressed with the hotel and location, just a short stroll into town, the staff were so friendly, especially the Portuguese lady in the breakfast room, we will definitely be back.

An excellent location a very short walk from the central train station. Surprisingly comfortable with air conditioning. Breakfast was very good, although with the awful machine coffee, now common in UK hotels. Staff very attentive and friendly.
