The Fellows House Cambridge, Curio Collection by Hilton

Loved our stay. Great secure parking, striking reception and bar area, wonderful size room, lovely pool area and a fantastic equipped gym. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Small improvements : 2 TVs and the remotes control both so they keep coming on, going off, volume not working spasmodically / can only mirror screen from an android phone. We used 2 cups for tea, left them on side when we went out and the cups were put in the dishwasher by the cleaner but we had to wash them up when we got back as had no other cups to replace them. The usb ports in the plugs didn’t work next to the bed. For a Hilton hotel the pillows were very poor quality. Honestly had a wonderful stay and all those things were small but maybe worth a mention as easily rectified x

Clean, spotless and spacious apartment style room. Friendly, professional staff on reception and in restaurant; made us feel welcome and always happy to answer our questions. Good location, a pleasant half hour walk by the parks into city centre. Bus stop across road from hotel with fast bus journey into city centre but bus arrival times unreliable in weekday rush hour. Cot bed requested at booking was already in room on arrival. We left expressed milk in the room fridge after check out and the staff kindly kept it cool for us to collect when we got back. We were spoilt with delicious buffet breakfast with good selection of cooked items and cold cuts (incl smoked salmon), pastries, cereals. Decaf coffee and omelette or scrambled eggs to order. Plenty of room to seat two adults and pram at table. Lovely White Company toiletries. Convenient undercroft car park though not cheap considering room price. Needed to ask for washing up liquid and slippers, which took more than 30 minutes to be brought to room delaying us going out for dinner on the first night. Housekeeping could be haphazard, they changed used towels and robe hung on the rail, but didn't replace the face towels and robe (but left the belt), and we got an extra loo roll instead of the new box tissue we ran out of. Not sure the room is equipped for use of kitchenette without things like washing up liquid, sponge, chopping board or tea towel by default. Overall would highly recommend. Smart and clean.

We lovely stay here. The pool was being serviced so it was out of use. This is a great hotel with lots of restaurants and cafes around. It’s an easy walk to the river. I was disappointed that when I telephoned to try and find out if we arrived early whether we could use the facilities. Despite being put on hold no one ever got back to me.

Brilliant value hotel, pool was a huge bonus, especially with children. Staff very helpful

Dirty hotel room and bathroom. Staff at front desk (particularly the females) were very abrupt and unhelpful. Couldn't get out of the car park due to scheduled maintenance that we were never warned about. Very poor response when we complained.
