Convenient for town centre and sightseeing but surounding streets were drab and run-down. Very small number of staff, who went above and beyond to make us welcome. No lift and quite a few stairs (could be tricky for some). Room was extremely small but included fridge - useful in the heat.

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful which is important. Room was spacious and plenty of bench space to put my things on as well as room for my suitcase. It has a shared bathroom which I've never had before in a hotel it was no problem l never had to wait to use the shower. Plenty of car parking space if your driving. Tv was tiny could have bought the next size was my only negative. Also no soap ,shampoo but l always bring my own. The hotel itself not the rooms has been modernized l thought it was going to be a traditional english pub.

We were given the family room on the second floor instead of a double room due to double booking. I would not recommend it if you have knee problems as there is no lift. Bed is comfortable had a good quiet nights sleep with the heater turned off. It is conveniently located to the Royal and Derngate theatre.

Maria and her colleague at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Lovely warm welcome. Hotel is in a convenient area of town for shops, river, canal, pubs. Parking was available.

It was ok, but unfortunately our room had a smell to it as soon as you opened the door also the corridor smelt of weed both at night and in the morning. The staff were very friendly.

We had a great experience at the Plough! We were there for a function and the staff could not have been friendlier! Room was clean and very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent and a great value at £10. Eady walking distance to centre of town. I would definitely stay again!

It was a last min one night booking ( when Grand Prix on so acc - hotels v expensive ) I wasn’t going just needed a room for the night . The room as I knew when booked was a single basic one that hadn’t been yet done up like the rest of the hotel but the bedding was spotless and the towels white and fluffy so all good . Recp and breakfast Staff were excellent v friendly and helpful even cooking me some vege Sausages .

The whole room was very dusty and I couldn't breathe well. Just one night i spent there, came back sick. I think they have a nice building and could improve in their servuce. I couldn't stand the dusty environment last night. I really struggle 😩

I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Chose the hotel for its closeness to the university but should have read the reviews a bit closely. The online pictures are misleading. The staff were friendly but all other things were terrible. Started with a crammed cage-like single room, hot, noisy with barely enough room to move around. Was cautious with the window, fearing the laches might come loose. Awful and bland breakfast.

Needed somewhere close to town for work social at the Saints. This was great value for money and the service was fantastic. I’d booked a single room, but it was too hot for me and they changed me to a cooler, double room for no extra cost at all. Great service. Thankyou!

The Plough Hotel, Northampton is the most friendliest hotel. Manager Rodica, Staffs Christina, Maria, Charlotte, Nadia, Vince and house keeping staffs are wonderful. Building is great historian period one which I love it. Our family will visit there again. Many thanks for taking care while we stay. 💚

I was welcomed by 'Christine' at the front desk on my arrival, she was so welcoming, smiling, friendly and she was most helpful throughout every aspect of my stay and nothing was a problem for her. The hotel was very clean and well run and most comfortable, homely and pleasant throughout my stay. A lovely experience throughout!

When I checked in, I was automatically upgraded to a larger room. Staff were friendly and accommodating. My suitcase was carried up to my room by a staff member. I paid extra for the breakfast for convenience. Walkable to plenty of shopping and restaurants. It was a 15 minute walk from the train station.

Literally nothing in the room worked no plugs so no lamps,tv,fan,kettle etc. I discussed this with the night porter but no offer to even look at it. Terrible noisy night which i wouldn't normally complain about but forced to open a window and the hotel is on a busy intersection. Defo a no return, i left at 4am to sleep in the car
