Fantastic stay for our family! The only note is that if you’re driving, finding the hotel’s parking garage can be tricky. It took us about 40 minutes to find the right turn, while navigating the busy Montreal streets, with one-way roads and heavy traffic. We had similar challenges when taking Uber back to the hotel after a day of sightseeing—drivers often struggled to locate the entrance as well. It would be helpful if the hotel could provide clearer directions or more detailed information for guests arriving by car or rideshare.

Beautiful old building but lacking in some ways for that reason. The spa was small and had minimal amenities (no pool, hot tub, or relaxation area). Remarkably no smart TV so streaming difficult. Good staff, cleanliness, room appointments, modern bath. Quiet area.

Il y avais plusieurs hôtels à proximité 2 fois moins cher. La réservation disait qu’il y avait un spa. Nous avions besoin de nous reposer et profiter des commodités de l’hôtel, donc le spa, comme c’était indiqué dans notre filtre de recherche. L’hôtel n’a pas clairement défini que le spa n’est pas accessible aux clients s’ils ne prennent pas un rendez-vous avec un service de massage ou de soins. Donc j’ai été contraint de faire une réservation basé sur de la fausse promotion de l’hôtel. Je suis donc très dessus de la communication.

Modern, boutique style hotel. Great part of Montreal - many eating/drinking options. Very clean & well maintained. One issue - underground parking is very tight for incoming/exiting vehicles if passing each other. Requires one driver to "yield" and back up.

It is an outstanding hotel. Fabulous finishes, pristine, new rooms. Great location and very walkable. Good gym and skilled spa professionals. Overall - nearly flawless. Two suggestions. First, change the red dirty carpet leading to the bar — it is the first thing people see about the hotel, and it is disappointing. Second, ask staff to pay a bit lore attention to restocking tea/coffee. It was not always done.

Fabulous hotel all around! Best mattress I have ever slept on at a hotel. Everything was like-new and clean. Gorgeous property. Bar is a must do. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was genuinely friendly. The hotel was charming. The room clean and modern with a most comfortable bed. The room even had a personalized bowl for our doggie traveling companion. Would definitely recommend!

Hotel was in central location for old town wharf and dining. Friendly staff and helpful. Would stay again. New, modern rooms. Toto toilet with all the bells and whistles.

Our room was modern and beautiful but the lighting was annoying to figure out and the bathroom taps were awkward to use. I loved the fancy toilet with warm seat & washing options! We had a fire alarm at 1:45am that required evacuation. We were let back in after about 15-20 minutes and told even though the electric/plastic smoke smell remained, it was safe. Breakfast was good but a pancake/waffle/French toast option would be great. The lobby & exterior is beautiful and the rooms are (maybe too?) modern.

Unlike the rooms shown on the website, our very expensive room was tiny with small, quirky windows that were virtually unusable. Had we seen a picture of THIS room, we would never have stayed there. Our queen bed took up most of the usable space in the room. Staff was excellent, helpful; the bar was wonderful.

The staff, every single one, is fantastic - so helpful and caring. We had a double queen room yet there was only one chair and one place to put luggage. I think I would have received a second chair and luggage rack if I had asked, but in a double queen it seems obvious to me that there would be two people and I should not have had to ask for two chairs and two luggage racks. Also, I found the shampoo and shower gels difficult to use. They dispensed only a small amount at a time and then the spout did not pop up on its own for another push. I had to pop it up and then push again to get the amount of shampoo and gel that I needed. This is a small thing, but you are operating a very expensive hotel and it does not seem that it should be difficult to get the gel and shampoo. The beds were wonderful and the lighting is fine although we had trouble turning on the floor lamp and the desk lamp. The closet was fine and the safe was easy to operate. The shower was lovely although it took me a while to figure out how to make the ceiling shower work. Had we been able to access the info using the bar code we might have learned much of this, however, our phones did not have service. We did not realize that we would not have service in Canada. Please thank the staff for a wonderful stay.

A very upscale hotel. But I can’t recommend it wholeheartedly because of the room design, which features a white translucent bathroom- the bathroom lights up the whole room, is “semi-private” and not at all soundproof. The tech stuff was over the top, for better or worse, from a toilet seat that raised and lowered in response to any motion, a fancy bidet built in, variable colored lights in the shower and push button everything. Our room was chopped, with the bathroom in the middle, and the desk by the door. There was no place to relax except the bed. So, despite the total upscale quality of the hotel, I would not go back. Also, the entry is up a set of carpeted stairs (soggy in the rain) requiring a strong arm with the luggage. The bar and restaurant are very active at night, and on the dressy side. The entry hall, which is the restaurant entrance, is dimly lit - we had to leave at 4 AM and it was hard to see and to tote down the steps.

The hotel staff especially William the concierge and the front office led by Alexandre were friendly and excellent - all our requests were accommodated. We enjoyed the food at George's and the atmosphere at the bar was dynamic (especially David who put a lot of energy into every drink he made). We look forward to another visit soon.

We did have a problem with the door which was not locking when closing. As we were going to be late for breakfast at the hotel restaurant, we asked for help from the reception and received instant response from a maintenance person. The front office manager (Alexandre Siquier) was very apologetic and offered us to help us with our next visit, which was much appreciated. Great hotel with an excellent service.

There was so much miscommunication within the staff, Bob (concierge) was not only absolutely rude for no reason, he was giving false information that was not matching what was told to me the day before by the other staff, and all this happen infront of my guest. I’ve never experienced this in any hotel let alone a 5 star one. The Guest services manager Guillame was extremely helpful and tried to make up for it. My advice is he should train some of the other staff as it seems some of them aren’t on the same page. Room service also walked in our room 3 times within 2 hours without knocking or anything.

Excellent hotel in a great location in Montreal. There's always a flaw or two with every hotel stay I've had in the last few years, but my stay at Le Mount Stephen was truly flawless and perfect. Staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating to all our needs. Parking is very convenient, the garage is underneath the hotel. The restaurant was wonderful as well with a creative menu. The thing to rave about most is the shower in the room. Seriously, it is the best shower I've ever experienced; the water pressure was perfect, the rainfall actually worked, and while the color-changing lights might seem gimmicky to some I thought it added a nice ambience. If I am in Montreal again, I would absolutely stay at Le Mount Stephen again.

This hotel lives up to the highest expectations, every single time. Two quick suggestions for the optics: - relocate stored luggage away from the front desk; when you have a lot there, it looks like a bazaar - the very first thing once sees for the hotel is the red carpet on the staircase. I’d recommend to keep it pristine (it is not)

I visit Montreal often and I can say that this hotel is one of the best in the city. The city boy slight negative is that it’s across the street from a men’s shelter (YMCA) so it can get sketchy at night. It is also a bit of a walk to the heart of the action in Old Montreal. But what it lacks in location, it makes up for in comfort, service, and class.

Truly exceptional architecture. A magnificent building from one era fused with one of the future. Service was fantastic, courteous and helpful. And the restaurant was out of this world. Simple things like the beet salad were taken to new heights of culinary experience. A simple burger was an extravagant but affordable indulgence. Parking was easy once Drummond access was figured out. A great stay in a marvelous city.

The hotel is mediocre with an incredible historical old front section. That section is largely irrelevant to the hotel function. The food, overpriced and underwhelming. Cold soup and a bizarre seasoning of a salad with five spice.not good
