I had two club rooms booked for my tour party and guests had a good stay. The decor is an acquired taste but rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful as we had a lot of luggage. Good size rooms and bathrooms, with a decent shower and a nice touch with the coffee machine inside our rooms. Good choices for breakfast, too. Only difficulties are that taxis often take up the loading bay out front so picking up luggage was difficult upon checkout. The gym also has very limited equipment, but enough to get a small workout it.

Your website and i used a filter said parking available. We got there to be told there was no parking and no longer a discount in the local car park. I had to book a space there and then at a cost of 26.80, which was a lot of money and annoying given i filtered for hotels with parking. They were very dismissive of my complaint also

Lovely room, quiet, clean and comfortable. Disappointed with bar as only half stocked, no prosecco or cider and staff did not come back after requesting if drinks were available. Bar staff lacked social engagement and manners.

Excellent stay, room clean and prepared for arrival. Staff very helpful on accommodation and local area. Not cheap, but for a bit of comfort I would recommend. Unfortunately no onsite parking and car parks are expensive, but parked in Q-Park close to hotel with a discount code from the hotel, need to book the carpark in advance tho.

Even though there is a spa, this is just a sauna and treatments. Hotel was boiling hot. Apart from that, staff were friendly and service was spot on. Breakfast was delicious.

Service was terrible. Bill was wrong. Decor is questionable. Gym is tiny and no atmosphere. Just some dumbells, a bench, a bike and a couple of running machines. Steak was OK. Breakfast was nice.

Good location. Web site said had parking but there was none. Charging 15 pounds per hour for a late checkout is unheard of in my 40 years of traveling worldwide. Made me feel you were penny pinching. Other than that stay was good.

Good hotel, great location. Friendly staff. Some corners cut…no water in the hotel room unless requested! Appaothats only in upgraded rooms!!! The lobby is adjacent to the bar…all good until the live music was played. Talented but utterly self indulgent musician. SO load I was unable to hear staff at checkin and too load to converse at the bar. It was meant to be background music, not a gig! No one from the staff asked him to tone it down.

This is a great hotel. The location is perfect for accessing public transport. We've stayed here before so knew what to expect. We didn't use the restaurant this time, but it looked and smelt very good. Our room this time was lovely, good size, tastefully decorated and had everything we could have wanted. The only negative is the lack of staff of an evening at the bar. On both nights we were ignored for 5 minutes, other people were getting quite frustrated too. Lots of dirty glasses on tables which does not look great, another pair of hands to help collect glasses, and wait on tables would be a great addition 😀

On Saturday, 6th July, the staff in the restaurant were more interested in a football match that was being shown on a television screen to guests in the bar area. They treated my enquiries about food and menu options with indifference and a lack of interest. I went to a nearby restaurant owing to this abysmal service. My room was clean and comfortable! The cleaner had failed to pay sufficient attention to the skirting boards which were dusty. Very pleasant reception staff on arrival and on departure.

Room was small, not very clean and not worth the money we spent. Asked for milk and more sachets of drinks to have in the room and reception said they would send some straight up but it never arrived. The bathroom products also empty and the beauty products had been opened and used previously! such a shame as we had been looking forward to the stay! Couldn't fault the breakfast it was lovely.

Excellent service, very comfortable bed and nice room. Minor grumbles: very clanky pipes and thin walls, Room clean but showing a few signs of wear and tear - streaks on the bathroom walls, glasses in the bathroom with very clear lipstick marks that had just been wiped as opposed to washed.

Great property and very clean and smart. My room was not done on arrival but the dury manager sorted this. The bug bear that I will never understanding is that in the suit room 207 they have a tv in the bedroom area with no remote control ! Seems pointless having it really. The toilet also kept sticking on flush. There is a mini bar but no price lists. I know these are all first world problems but just little niggles. Hotel was clean (except behind head board) and in a fantastic location.

Arrived by train, so perfect location. Really friendly welcome and room was ready 30mins prior to check out. Our room itself was spacious but looked tired. Lots of scraps and dust in areas. The bathroom was dirty. There was sick all the toilet. House keeping did come and clean it. The cups for rinsing hadn’t been cleaned properly, mugs were chipped and stained. Maintenance paid us a visit as the room was like a furnace. The aircon isn’t immediate, as in its does blow cold area and the windows don’t open. So we left our room early in the evening. We had a room that had a Jack and Jill door. This wasn’t an issue until the morning where the ‘party’ next door arrived early, approx 09:30 ish and kept trying to open it. They left around 10:30 and was a hen party, so understandable that they were excited, but not the wake up call I was expecting and you’re on edge in case the lock fails. The bed was lovely and big and the bath poured really quickly which amused me. We stayed in room 513 and on the top floor. I used the the public toilets also when checking in and they were dirty and not serviced regularly. Unfortunately I wouldn’t return here. Premier Inn is cleaner and better value. We’ve stayed in a few hotels in Manchester and this was one of our more disappointing stays. Super nice staff though.

Nice enough hotel. Staff at breakfast particularly friendly, although the chef couldn’t seem to manage scrambled eggs made without cream/butter - baffling???!! Room was a little disappointing. Extractor in bathroom not working, plug in bathroom sink not working, blackout curtains did not fit properly. Not even a bottle of water in the room, although there was a small fridge. Worst part was the poor soundproofing of the room. External street noise really loud well into the early hours (and we were on the 5th floor) and the room had an adjoining door to another if required, but this meant we could hear everything from the room next door well into the early hours. Resulted in really poor sleep. Not great value for money. Sadly would not stay again.

Suite was disappointing. Very shabby in places, missing details on bannister for example, no lamps, confusing lights, towel rail didn’t work - reported - no help sent. Unusable wardrobe - no space and nothing premium which made it feel special. Tbh it was gloomy and cold. We also struggled to get AC units going to get heat, and one control didn’t work at all. There was no extraction in the bathroom, the water pressure in the shower was poor and there was lots of chipped paint and dust in the vents. The bed was pretty comfortable, but the sheet seemed too small and kept coming off. Pillows were too small, smaller than standard. Nice to have a Nespresso machine, but no fresh milk. Fridge wasn’t very cold and there were no extras for being in a suite. Overall, we found room 507 very gloomy, cold, scruffy and disappointing. I wouldn’t stay here again even though it was very convenient for the station. Floor 5 also had a weird smell of cooked food like fried fish all the time. This hotel was great before, could be again, but someone needs to have an eye for detail as it certainly doesn’t feel premium any more.

Top 5 TV channels didn't work, confined to SKY TV. Staff familiar with issue. Had to go to lobby twice to resolve in absence of promised maintenance man. Room pokey and bed lumpy. Had a bad night's sleep in consequence. Staff friendly and helpful (save as above). Not worth the £198 for a single night.

It was a nice hotel with friendly easy check in. Bed was small and the room was extremely warm in the night. Also quite noisy and could hear other guests through the walls etc. nicely decorated but impractical lighting. Unfortunately wouldn’t choose to stay again just based on the room.

Upon pulling the sheets back there was something in the bed. Reporting this to reception I was rightly moved and off to sleep I went. Following day I go off to my meetings and rerun and the keycard isn’t working. Reception tell me I’ve been moved back to the original room and my belongings have been gathered up. Off I go somewhat dismayed to the old room. 30 minutes and not clothes so I go to reception to be told I can return to the old room and the software has a bug and nobody has been allocated my old room. Very confusing, annoying and needless hassle. Shame as I use this hotel a lot and will reconsider here on in

I booked this trip for my parents, uncle and I to celebrate my mam's 60th birthday. Unfortunately I became unwell and could no longer go. My parents enjoyed their stay at the hotel. They said it was pretty clean and comfortable, and they especially enjoyed the bar. The said the bar staff were brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful. However, what is letting this hotel down is customer service. As I couldn't attend but was concerned about using the app to cancel when we still needed two other rooms, I spoke with a Hotels.com chat agent who tried to contact the hotel on my behalf but couldn't get a response. I also wanted to arrange something special in the room for my mam's arrival and had used the app at time of booking to ask what was available. I never got a response via the app so a few days before the trip I emailed the hotel directly. Responses back and forth took so long that in the end they weren't able to set anything up as by this point it was check in day and I was told balloons were arranged via a third party. I asked if there was anything at all that could be done to make her stay extra special while she was there as it was a 2 night trip, and they completely stopped responding. Have heard nothing since and was unable to make the stay special for her birthday. This would put me off staying again in case I needed customer service support.

Check in was fine, staff were lovely at breakfast and room was lovely. Cant fault the hotel but wouldnt stay here again due to its Location. Best way to describe it its like located in the middle of a walking dead episode where the walking dead rise and walk about shouting and the windows are paper thin or have large gaps. despite being 3 floors up all i could here was racket... at that time of night when unpacked etc there was little point moaning. On lift down the chap beside me looked exhausted like myself... i asked if he was facing the front like me and he said "no i was at the back beside the bottle bank!"... lovely hotel, next to station , staff friendly, hotel great inside with a starbucks, good food for breakfast, just a shame about the noise outside.

Wow, what can i say, so much better than expected. Very quirky room, really clean and well kept, lovely, helpful staff. Nice selection of nibbles and drinks, plus lovely selection of complimentary teas/coffees. Ordered the continental breakfast to be delivered to our room, which arrived bang on time and was not disappointed...it was delicious.

Staff on reception were excellent nothing to much trouble for then. Needed something doing they sorted it. Stayed 2 nights. Breakfast on the 2nd morning was dire. Asked for a bacon muffin without butter, chef said no,all the muffins were buttered ??? Table next to us asked for just sour dough toast. Chef said no,only came with the breakfast specified ?? Coffee machines running out of milk, coffee. No tea bags.Not a tea spoon to be found. Absolutely dreadful

Room (corner suite) excellent & very comfortable, but shower leaked. Dinner very good. Breakfast not so good. Scrambled eggs bland, lumpy & tasteless. Breakfast promised avocado, but what came was a very acidic guacamole. Several breakfast items not available. On the Saturday morning, service was slow, both coffee machines malfunctioning.

Nice, trendily designed, spacious room on top floor, though dimly lit. I'm not a fan of overhead showers. Surly check-in staff member on arrival, but everyone else was friendly. Breakfast buffet was overpriced for what you get (no butter only margarine for your toast - ???). Clean and convenient, but many better options available close by in central Manchester.

Great location and fabulous breakfast - home made granola is my favourite, breakfast is a winner always at malmaison. Our room was big and very comfortable and the hotel is pet friendly.
