Great hotel. Very clean and modern. Everything we needed and more. My only “complaint” would be the tiny elevators that seemed to have minds of their own, leaving line ups of travellers waiting to get on at every floor.

Parking is easy using what3words. Reception was brilliant. The two gents were engaging, happy and out to make an impression, which they did. Always appreciate a room upgrade! The rooms were clean, warm and very comfortable beds. No outside noise. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

We wanted a place where it would look like we were still at home. Staycity offered us everything we needed including all kitchen facilities. There was secure parking which cost 16 pounds for about 24 hours. The staff were polite and helpful. Overall a good experience.

The 2-bed apartment was very big, all mod cons, much better for friends/family than sharing a room. Even the 1 bed gives you two 'bedrooms' if you include the sofa bed. Clean, neat, modern. Nothing really to complain about, not luxurious, but decent. Location excellent, right next to the station. Q-Park across the footbridge and a 20 minute walk to the Apollo and less into the main town elements. The gym was small, a couple of treadmills, a rack of dumbells with 2 benches etc. Enought to get by. The bar was small, okay for a quick one before setting off. Staff friendly. Would stay again.

Being right next to the train station was super convenient. The FREE bus stops are also right out front which made getting around the main city so easy. Staff were very friendly and even helped us check in much earlier on our arrival day as we got into the city in the am with a ton of luggage. Note: this hotel does have paid bag storage for 24 hr periods in secure lockers Room was well appointed but would have liked a softer bed

Fantastic location with great staff. Room was well equipped. The sofa bed is not the most comfortable. One of two elevators not working but luckily we were on a lower floor.

Been staying at this establishment at least twice a year over the past few years. Disappointed with this current stay. 1. Whole hotel has 2 lifts and they decided to shut one down for maintenance from 8:00am which is the `rush hour'. Took us about 20 mins to move out luggage from Floor 1 to ground due to the high usage on the single operating lift. 2. Hotel put up a sign on the only access road from main road to hotel that drivers who stop in the access road will be fined 100 GBP. Private car hire drivers, eg. Uber, should be exempted. We had an Uber driver who refused to turn into the access road. It was raining heavily and we had heavy luggage. Not `guest-friendly'

It was not a relaxing stay. The bath was dirty, there were food splatters on the exterior of the cooker. Two things that were particularly annoying, the constant clicking from the automatic lights that sounded all night, even though there was no movement, it really kept me up. The bed was made of two singles but the two mattresses had different firmness, so you could only sleep on one at a time, it was just two singles that couldn't be used as a double, I hated that. Staff were friendly and polite.

I stayed in the property for 1 night, it was chilly outside and the heating in the room was not working! Instead it automatically turned on Air conditioning making the room even more cold. After informing it on reception they provided 2 radiators which were very slow heating and barely made the bedroom warm. The whole apartment was freezing cold after this as well. Curtains are in pretty bad shape, overall cleanliness wasn’t good at all. Beds and sofas are worn off totally.

The apartments are modern and clan and close to amenities! A bit too close perhaps as quite noisy - but it is the heart of the city. My main problem was the bed!!! The hotel only has beds with mattresses stuck together so you do feel that connection in between. Unfortunately- the base in my room was not fixed and the two bases came apart in the night somehow and I found myself going down in between the 2 bases!! Far from ideal. Shame as most things about the apartments was great

Great location, clean, comfortable rooms. Gave us an upgrade. Missing an item or 2 but that was corrected immediately. Only complaint is street noise, but it's on a busy street near the train station so to be expected.

Everything was good but there were problems with the wifi. When you log into the hotel wifi, it hides your location from other guests but it also means you can't watch any uk streaming service because your location isnt recognised as being in the uk

I had a brilliant time! I went by myself for my 21st birthday and stayed from Monday to Friday. My room was set up as advertised with all of the kitchen amenities, and the staff were kind enough to make note of my request to have a room a with a bath tub. The sound proofing was great, I hardly noticed any outside noise which is good considering it's right next to Picadilly station. My only complaint is that the sofa bed in the room was quite uncomfortable to sit on as a sofa, but it was nothing major. I'm already very very eager to visit again!

1st time stay here stayed for 1 night Stopped off here as part of a longer trip. On the whole great. kitchen very well equipped with utensils didnt use cooker / microwave. We used the toaster/ kettle and the nespresso machine. Easy walk into manchester shops/ bars theatres. A minuite walk to piccadilly station. A few little negatives- hardly any shower gel in bathroom dispenser. Didnt like the double bed pushed against the wall with no room for movement to get out the bed very claustrophobic. Not sure if all 1 bedroom apartments are the same? If we took the card key out the box the lecky went off so we had no lighting at night so had to leave it in the strong light in the hallway was left on overnight as there was no switch to turn it off. Maybe we were doing something wrong but on the whole good accomodation. Staff on reception were pleasant.

Great location, beds a bit firm for my liking but it’s all personal preference. 2nd bedroom was turned into single beds but the positioning of the beds meant that the door didn’t close fully. Also the hall light was on a sensor and couldn’t find a switch to stop it - not great in the middle of the night when the door doesn’t close.

Really nice apartments, all very well maintained and everything you need for a short stay. Ours faced the front and train station entrance so was quite noisy although not too bad at night. If you prefer quiet, ask for one at the other side.

This was a great place to spend the night. It was right beside the station but extremely quiet. They kindly allowed us an early check in after an early morning long haul flight arrival and even upgraded us without extra charge. I would highly recommend this apartment accommodation.

We’ve arrived at 9 AM which was too early and we can understand that usually check in cant take place in this time, but the gentleman in the reception was too rude that he didn’t even bother to welcome us to the hotel and he mentioned straight away, “ we don’t have rooms so take your luggage to the storage room where there are available paid lockers For storing our luggage. We stored our luggage and left for sightseeing and came back at 14.00 when a nice lady in the reception check us in and give us the keys to our suite. Check in two bedrooms suite. The suites look like a nice university dorm. too many rooms. Very basic furniture and cleanliness Need to be improved. Both linen and towels Need to improve the quality linen really needs to be considered. rooms are very small and living room is very tight like a mice house. Kitchen is well equipped . No amenities in the bathrooms. The two elevators were toooooo slow and usually long queues waiting. Location is awesome adjacent to the train station and very close to city center. Ai conditioner in the room was perfect.

Everyone working in the hotel is “Amazing”! Starts from the leadership of Jamie (Manager” of the hotel!). Jamie helped us Check in and out, the process was smooth and quick, he was very attentive and caring; we arrived early after a long flight, needless to say, we were extremely tired, since there was a room available, Jamie was able to put us in the room right away! The act of kindness, consideration and compassion must be mentioned! Thank you Jamie (Manager) of Statecity Aparthotels Manchester UK. The hotel and its staffs and services are “Outstanding”! We used the washing machine/dryer located in the apartment. The machine door wouldn’t open when I was trying to retrieve my clothes. Asked the front desk to send maintenance to help. Maintenance didn’t come. We needed to leave as our train was due. Left my home address to have my clothes sent. I’ve heard nothing from the property. Apparently, doors sticking is a common problem with those machines.

It was highly convenient for commuting through Manchester Piccadilly. Coming from York, I was due to take an AM flight at Manchester International. It was rather unstressful to take the train the day before and leave for the airport in the morning, without rush.
