This was a beautiful property with hiking trails on-site. The restaurant was excellent with fair prices. Breakfast included was top notch. The cabin was cozy and had a fireplace stocked with wood and a fire starter kit. The only issue we had was the bed was extremely firm.

We loved it here. The villas were super cool, we loved the two story aspect and the working wood fireplace. Parking is easy and we were greeted by the peafowl when we arrived. There was ample space in the villa, so it was like being in my own home if I lived in a cool A frame

This place is incredible. The property grounds are beautiful and they have a great walking trail. The cabins are so cute and cozy. Especially with being able to make a fire in the fireplace with plenty of access to more wood. The food was beyond expectations. Every dish was so amazing, especially the homemade bread. Even the drive up to the property was gorgeous. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Property is very pretty, high in mountains, its much colder there so be prepared. Every day was misty and rainy in january. Beautiful mountains views. All trails were closed due to rains. 2 hrs driving to ocean or hot springs, 1 hr from san jose. There is an issue with wifi in that property.

breakfast was disappointing since communication was hard. the fire wood too bad and wet to make the fire. Not very clean too noisy since the roof and wall were not isolated. water leakage during rain some kitchenet would have been helpful

Chalé muito bom, com lareira (faz frio na região) e restaurante dentro da propriedade. O sinal de wi-fi não é bom no quarto e porta do chuveiro ficava abrindo sozinha. No entanto a avaliação geral é muito positiva.

I absolutely recommend this place. The overall experience is outstanding. The place looks like a botanical garden. The room has everything to enjoy your stay. We had a fireplace with firewood and hot tea ( it wasn't warm outside).The only small things that I would add the hooks on the inside of the shower and change a shower nose. On the porch we had a hummingbird feeder and a beautiful calla lillies so we were wathing them all morning. They have a restaurant on the premises with a farmers market fresh food. Menu has a lot to offer. You can select your breakfast from the menu. So far it's my best experience at Costa Rica. I wish I booked more night at this place

Booked a stay for one night in the two floor house. Unit smelled terrible and was full of bugs, including roaches crawling out of gaps in the ceiling and other places. We had to go into town to try to find spray and air fresheners. Also, bedrooms were stiflingly hot and beds were hard as a rock. With no screens on windows/doors, it was impossible to get any air flow. Additionally, there were brown spots on the bath towels and hair on the toilet. By 6pm, we did not feel safe or comfortable staying and left. Disappointed as place would not even give a partial refund. Had to throw out $130.

This property was very nice. The cabins are somewhat rustic. The cabin had a wood burning fireplace. It was somewhat drafty but definitely an experience. The staff was very hard working and did a wonderful job cleaning and with the grounds.

Villa Calas was all we could have wished for on our first night in Costa Rica. The hotel is a 50mins or so drive away from the international airport, on the way up to Volcan Poas, which makes it the ideal base to start your trip. We stayed in one of the Junior Suites which was clean and comfortable. There is a restaurant on site (kitchen closes at 8pm) which offers delicious typical food (I strongly recommend the rice with shrimps); we had the best gallo pinto (traditional tico breakfast) of our trip there. Staff was welcoming and accommodating.

We stayed at Casa Villa for one night on our way to La Fortuna with our family of five. We had to book two cabins, but they were adorable with a loft-like design. The bedrooms were upstairs, while the ground floor had a small living area. The on-site restaurant served great food, and the staff was wonderful. The only downside was the location right next to the road, so the noise from trucks and cars driving by throughout the night was quite loud.

Overall a hidden gem. I’ll definitely stay there again! Very few issues - room wasn’t cleaned during stay, but I’m pretty neat and clean so I didn’t mind. Laundry service was awesome. Cottages are super cozy! Staff is wonderful and felt like family.

Somewhat like a chalet with a full kitchen and fireplace we loved our accommodations. Our first night, the clouds were so dense we decided to eat at the restaurant and it was excellent. We had the pumpkin and tomatoe soup and sea bass - perfect!! The breakfast is also fantastic. Wish the weather had been better because views and property looked wonderful. Great location - easy trip to airport …. Staff is extremely helpful.

Aspectos positivos: Jr Suites hermosas, nuevas, bien decoradas, chimenea funcional para el frío de la zona, muy limpio en épocas en donde la sanitizar es indispensable, restaurante acogedor aunque no un restaurante gourmet, hermosos jardines y muy bien mantenidos. Aspectos negativos: poca variedad en las comidas, relación precio calidad no corresponde por su alto valor, atención de saloneros regular, sin mucha amabidad de su parte.
