Staff was pleasant and friendly. Breakfast hours were convenient. We liked that we didn’t have to wake up too early and still make breakfast. We found the beds very uncomfortable, but the room was very very nice. No matter how high we turned the heat up, the room would not go above 68 degrees, so we were cold. When housekeeping came they took the only extra blanket and did not replace it. Everything was clean though. The indoor pool was also closed for maintenance which was a bummer since that was a main reason we chose this hotel. The location was nice and we were able to walk the trail to the park which was lovely.

Definitely will stay here again. Embassy is one of two properties in downtown Greenville with an indoor pool. Unfortunately the pool was not heated, at the time of our stay. The hotel is in a prime location. Once we arrived, we walked to everything and never had to drive anywhere.

My go to hotel and working in Greenville. It's right on the river convenient enough for walking to main Street and checking out downtown Greenville. The embassy suite has a social hour which is nice. And also has a lovely restaurant/crafts cocktail bar up on the roof... And a Ruth's Chris in the lobby. I have been back many times and probably will continue to do so in the future when returning to Greenville.

The parking was said to be 7 dollars a day. That was true as long as you did not leave the parking lot. Each time you left, you were charged a fee. The last night, they closed the parking lot due to work. It cost much more than it's worth.

The entire building and rooms were very clean. The beds are very comfortable and enjoyed how spacious the room and bathroom is. The continental breakfast is delicious with lots of options.

Breakfast was okay. The dining area was very dirty. The lady cleaning tables was doing her best but was clearly on her own. The room was okay. Lots of stains on ceiling and wall. Not trying to be picky but wasn’t worth the almost $400 I paid for one night. Location-wise…can’t beat it. Would I stay again…no.

Could have been kept up a lot nicer. One day in particular there were cracker crumbs all over the floor in the lobby from at least 8 am until around 5 pm. It looked dispicable! We chose to try a different hotel in Greenville as we really enjoy coming up there, I'd say we probably will be going back to our original place the AC hotel. many of the staff really need to learn to be more attentive and not act as if the person in front of them is taking up their time. As a former GM it was imperative my staff knew who paid their income thus take care of your customers was the utmost priority!

Another hotel holding on to their "must request room to be turned over" policy instead of it being automatically turned over by housekeeping. I understood this policy during covid but now its just in poor taste trying to save a buck. The bathroom floors were not cleaned well upon arrival, the room had a musty smell and the tv was not connected. These are all things I would expect staying at low budget motel, not a hotel like this.

The hotel was very nice and it was clean. I liked the breakfast. The noise in the hotel was the only complaint. Not even sure if that’s the hotels fault. But there was extremely loud music that kept my husband and I up until 3 am. It was the weekend. But just a warning that if you’re there with family and for a dance competition you have to get up early for, you may want to choose a quieter location.

Great room. Very spacious. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was a great location to be able to walk around the downtown area. Would definitely recommend it!!! I would like to see hotels put the makeup mirror back. It is not easy to see what you are doing with the regular big mirror on wall.

Last stay was perfect, we had a balcony room overlooking the reedy. My wife and I decided we wood book another balcony room to celebrate our anniversary, however we didn’t realize the balcony rooms didn’t always look over the river, and instead found ourselves in a room looking over a building roof and absolutely no view whatsoever of the downtown. Took a lot of the excitement out of our trip.

Great experience. Check-in was easy. We took advantage of the free happy hour - it was veggies and chips and salsa - but we were happy with that. Room was clean - showing a little wear but it worked well for our family of three. Breakfast was awesome and had a nice hot buffet with a omelette station. One of the only downside was that the indoor pool was cold - but we went in the middle of winter. Would definitely stay again.

I’m glad to leave a review, because I read all the reviews before we chose this hotel. Indoor pool and breakfast and convenience were key. We only had one night in Greenville - a quick trip with my daughter and granddaughter before school starts. The pool was critical and so happy to have it. After walking around in the summer weather, we could spend an hour splashing with the 6yo. The room was excellent. Tiny and functional kitchen, 2 comfortable beds, a living room. For the 3 of us it was perfect. Quiet. Safe. Everything we needed. We probably should have gotten more towels - 2 swim times and showers for all 3 of us stressed our towel situation. Wi-Fi/internet was wonky but we worked around. Enjoyed the happy hour before we walked to dinner. GREAT breakfast. This was also a factor in our choice and I’m glad. Good selection. Great for 2 adults and child. We parked in City parking attached to hotel for $7 a day. Walked everywhere. We were fortunate to be able to get an early check in. I tried calling the day before - really hard to reach a person at the hotel but I was persistent. We were there midweek, so not overly booked and our room was ready when we got over there early. We will go back.

All the staff from reception to the bartender at happy hour were friendly, engaging and helpful. We stayed here to bike on the swamp rabbit trail and hike in the area. The hotel is in a convenient area to easily walk around. Will definitely be back!

Too few check-in folks - one serving a long line of people. And she seemed quite slow. We came in before check-in time and were told our room was not ready and the clerk could give us no idea when it would be. We informed her that we had dinner reservations at 7:00 and she replied she hoped to have our room for us before then and that she would call us when it was ready. No call back by the listed 4:00 check in time but when we were finally waited on our room was ready so.... The parking garage was a confusing mess and the elevator system to actually get in the hotel was a two step process. Elevators were not marked or identified well. The room itself was pretty good though there was no temp control - at least the one we had did nothing and would not change. The temp was never to our liking. Breakfast was very average with tasteless eggs and bacon. Didn't want to have to wait on a custom omelet as there was no one at the counter when we arrived. All in all not a great experience for the price.

Checkin was a bit frustrating. We got to the hotel early, and our room was not ready (no big deal because we were early). I was told we would get a call when our room was ready. We waited until one hour after checking, and never received a call. I went to the front desk and was told our room was ready for quite some time but the previous shift didn’t let the new shift know we were waiting.

The 'front desk' people were a bit rude - giving them the benefit of the doubt, they were busy. I specifically booked a double (two queen beds) but when we checked in, they 'claimed' they only had a king room for us and offered a rollaway cot - No way was this good - paying $300+ for a room and having to sleep on a cot! They magically 'found' a double room for us but that was the extent of their hospitality. Very little help on parking, luggage cart, where the elevators were.

Worse experience ever. No room when we got there and no one ever called to let us know a room was ready so we ate dinner and road around Greenville for hours. We finally got to our room by 9pm. This was suppose to be a relaxing trip for us after my husband had a major heart attack. He became so stressed we never left room. I was promised compensation that I still have not seen any reimbursement. NO MANAGER ON DUTY which made it worse. NO ONE that could help.

Wonderful stay. We parked, and never left. We got there around 4pm, wonderful views, free happy hour at 5:30pm. Had dinner at Ruth Chris, burger was amazing. Walked to concer at peace center, it was a 5 minute walk. Walked back and went to the rooftop bar for a nightcap. Woke up and had fresh omelet at the free breakfast. You just can’t beat the perks that come with the hotel. Very nice

I had a great week in the downtown Hilton in Greenville, it's perfectly convenient to the sights, shops and restaurants in the area and parking is a doddle. The hotel is very comfortable and active, there is a Ruth's Chris restaurant in the lobby, which is fabulous, and a very popular roof terrace bar. There's the added convenience of a guest laundry on the same floor as the pool. The only disappointment is the breakfast, not enjoyable, but there's a good fridge in the rooms.

Property as usual was very nice. Very disappointed in the Roof Top bar. Service seems to have deteriorated and kitchen closed earlier than expected. Extremely disappointed in breakfast. No omelets, scarce other food, not refreshed frequently enough.

Loved that they had a made to order omelet bar. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The hotel has an upscale feel. The only downside was the stocking of items and cleaning at breakfast and the evening reception. It normally looked messy and picked over. Really need a dedicated staff member to upkeep the area during service.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. In my opinion this hotel is not worth the $400 a night that I paid for our room. The breakfast was just ok. The grits and the oatmeal were both like soup. The plates were small hard plastic type material and there were no glasses for the juices. We had to use the paper coffee cups for the orange juice. The elevators are very confusing when trying to get out to the river walk. It seemed as if the fitted sheet on our bed was too small for the mattress. It didn’t stay on very well. We have stayed at three different Embassy Suites in three different cities and the Greenville,SC is by far our least favorite. This one is definitely not a very high end hotel although it’s priced like one. I probably would not stay at this Embassy Suites location again.

Loved the balcony overlooking the riverwalk. The rooftop restaurant was amazing. The atmosphere and the service were exceptional. We will definitely come back! It was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in.
