Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport

Only one lift was working which when busy made for a longer wait time.

The stay was marred by the parking problems! We didn't realise you had to validate the parking ticket at the reception, so my husband dropped me off then left. Unfortunately he didn't have his reading glasses on so thought he was paying £6 to get out of the barrier. I checked in, the receptionist did not check if I had a car, I went to my room unpacked then realised I hadn't given in the registration of our car, went back only to be told it would cost £60!!! as we were supposed to bring the ticket in to reception, I phoned my husband and yep he had been charged £60. It ruined the start of a long awaited weekend away with my niece. Very confusing the receptionists weren't helpful at all, we are in our sixties so very disappointing, only hope we can make a claim back from the airport.

Stayed here many time always great staff and the food is great . The issue is one lift was not working sounds probably trivial to a lot of people but in the morning trying to get to reception was a night mate the queue for the lifts were horrendous. You can not tell me you can’t get a lift engineer in Bristol over a day to fix this issue ? When I went to check out and report this to the receptionist she just made a funny comment not what you want to hear 4 o’clock in the morning grrr

Perfect location and facilities were good.

Rooms are clean and tidy. Shower great. The bar area could do with upgrading the sofas as some are torn. The downside was that there was no draught lager on our stay.

Very convenient hotel for Bristol airport. The price on parking your vehicle overnight is way over priced. Discounted from £60 to £45 night as we were staying at the hotel. Choice on the evening menu is very poor

Convenient hotel for overnight stay die to early flight. Rooms clean and comfortable, restaurant/bar area busy with fairly basic food selection. Service quick and efficient.

Always use this hotel because it is the only one at the airport. Hotel is shabby, seats in public area are dirty, stained and threadbare throughout to the sponge, not the standard of a Hampton at all. Needs some TLC. Shower base was dirty on arrival. I expect more for £150 odd a night. Breakfast was as expected, no complaints. Drinks in bar were as expected, expensive !

Everything was fine...perhaps seating area needs recovering. Breakfast was good...plenty to choose from.

The actual hotel stay was really lovely. What was not lovely was the price charged to park now by Bristol Airport who own their car park. £60 for overnight, 1.00am -10.00am to be precise so £60 for 9 hours! This is not made clear prior to booking and will unfortunately have an impact on future bookings. You do get a reduced rate for staying on the hotel, but this is only to £45

Bedbugs. We stayed here one night before returning to the U.S. Got home and unpacked, with the suitcase on our bed. Mistake! Woke up early itching. Saw multiple tiny bugs on the sheets. Pest control guy has just confirmed a very recent bedbug infestation.

Stayed 1 night on way to airport but very clean and were cheerful at the hour we left.

Our room had 2 holes in the carpet. The white chair looked really unclean in the room. The corridoors had dust and cobwebs. Loved the in shower shampoo, conditioner and shwer gel facility. I got over charged for a drink and was unable to get a refund as the bottle had already been opened by the staff member. The breakfast was really nice. Room 118 twinned with 120 we had the double bed room with the carpet holes

Room was spotless and super convenient location. Staff were helpful and efficient

Lovely staff on reception although there was a queue it went down quickly. Room nice clean with tea/coffee making facilities. Nice clean bathroom with nice extra large bath towels and a wide selection of toiletries. Lovely comfortable bed. Would I stay here again? Definitely Would I recommend to a friend? Absolutely.

Very clean as you would expect being a new hotel staff very friendly but drink and food prices let it down

This hotel is amazing ! It’s very convenient for the airport (obviously) I had a newly refurbished ground floor room which was huge and immaculate. The hotel and rooms are very quiet I couldn’t hear the planes and had a fab nights sleep. Staff are very friendly and helpful, check in was a breeze. I was even let in my room a little early as that’s what time my bus arrived. Breakfast is served from 4am (continental) and from 6am for full English. The continental selection was huge. Dinner was lovely and the bar area is very well equipped. I loved that there was a little book shelf that I could leave the book I’d read on the shelf for someone else to enjoy. Overall lovely hotel and staff and will definitely be staying again in the future. Thanks so much.

Room was ok, areas of the room were tired such as the desk chair. Clearly damaged and well used. The evening meal was very basic, all the fabric seats were marked and visibly dirty making it hard to find somewhere to sit. This coupled with the draft of the front and back doors to the building I nearly went back upstairs to fetch my coat. The tables were messy and not cleaned down to resulted in an elbow full of crumbs once I finally found a table.

Excellent location for the airport. Good clean and modern room, very spacious. Room 224 - queen size bed and sofa. Only let down was the super firm mattress - it was not the comfiest and I like a firm mattress! Tip - don’t use the app to order food, most items on the actual menu are not listed.

Good breakfast. Nice staff. But we booked a family room, to find the second bed had not been made up. Having arrived late, kids asleep/ falling asleep, we could have done without waiting for someone to bring sheets for the bed to us. And the second bed was terribly uncomfortable. And the room wasn’t big enough, such that you couldn’t get around the second bed or access the desk when it was pulled out. Overall, not very good value for money

The room was spacious but the air conditioning was noisy. There was a very unpleasant odour in the room presumably from the air con.

Disappointed in the breakfast. Overcooked eggs, hardly any choice of pastries. It’s not the first time we stayed here and it never seems to get better. The best things were the bread. The rooms with twin beds are very small. If it wasn’t for the convenience of being close to the airport I wouldn’t stay. The bathroom was good with big soft towels.

before our holiday we stayed the night as we had an early flight, I didn’t get much sleep as the mattresses are terrible, every time me or my husband rolled over and moved in our sleep we would wake up, the springs are so noisy and the mattress is so uncomfortable, we have stayed in a lot of Hilton hotels over the years but this is by far the worst beds we have stayed in

Clean room with basic facilities perfectly adequate for one night but it was cold. Unable to heat the room at all and the bedding is very thin.

Staff were fantastic. Double bed was fine, however the sofa bed- made out to a single was atrocious. Not sure if it’s been over used or was very cheap to start with but the bed was dreadful. Had an arch in the middle and springs sticking in your back. The mattress on the bed was incredibly thin. Staff came to the room and could see, just by looking at the sofa bed that it was not fit for purpose and brought duvets to pad it out a little. This didn’t help and no sleep was had by my husband (daughter refused to sleep on it) before our early flight. The room was expensive so expected comfortable beds. Should have saved £200 and driven through the night to the airport as sleep wasn’t gained by staying at the hotel unfortunately.

Decent budget hotel but at 4-star prices, which reflects the convenient location next to the airport terminal. Shame the Aircon can’t be turned down in winter, which made for an uncomfortable night as we like cool rooms

Warm welcome from helpful reception staff when we checked in. Also cheerful receptionist when we checked out at 4am. All staff very friendly. Comfy bed. Room quiet.

Honestly I have mixed feelings about our stay. It was first time when I didn't feel welcomed. I'm aware that we arrived early but I decided to ask if by any chance we can check in straight away. The lady I've asked said straight away I'm sorry we were fully booked last night and check in is from 3pm and got back to what she was doing. Only the other young receptionist offered us to take our baggage and put it in the storage room. When I asked him again would be the room ready earlier he said come back 2:30.

Quick last minute overnight stay. Catching flight early hrs the following morn. Staff very professional, helpful and accommodating. Food was ok. Early wake up call and breakfast snack bag appreciated.

We had a fire alarm, but the staff were badly trained, if at all. Fire doors were not opened and staff watched as customers walked into the building and did not clear customers who blocked the doors stopping customers from exiting the hotel, thank god it was a flase alram.

The night check-in lady was absolutely AMAZING!!! I’m sorry if I’m wrong but I think she said her name is Rahib??? 🙏

Main advantage very close to airport but too expensive for quality - staff on reception failed to record my request for a 4.15am call which I requested the previous night as i needed to leave for the airport security by 5.30am - when i woke up - so no time for breakfast/shower etc!! i will not be staying there again!

Lovely check in, the girl was so friendly and helpful. We ate dinner there, which is ok, over priced, but you kind of expect that at an airport. The lad keeping the tables clean was amazing, we asked his name, but can’t remember as it was difficult, but he deserves a mention as he was so great.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before and have always enjoyed our visits. However, this most recent stay was out of necessity, and unfortunately, there were several issues that would make us think twice about returning. Due to a delayed flight, we arrived late and were already very tired. Having completed online check-in, we expected the process to be smooth. Unfortunately, this was not the case. When we reached our room, our key would not grant us access, and we had to return to reception to resolve the issue. By this time, there was already a queue at reception, which added further delay. To make matters worse, the computer system went down, and although the receptionist was cordial, she anppeared unsure of how to handle the situation. The whole process became unnecessarily frustrating at a time when we simply needed to get some rest. Breakfast the following morning was also disappointing. We arrived at 9:30am and found the selection very limited. The staff and cook appeared agitated by our arrival, as if they were more focused on clearing up than on serving guests. The quality of the breakfast itself was poor, and overall it was not an enjoyable experience. Finally, accessing the hotel is currently difficult due to extensive building works, which only adds to the inconvenience. Sadly, this stay fell short of the standards we have come to expect, and so we would have to give some serious consideration before choosing this hotel again in the future.

We checked in really late, and staff were very helpful and efficient. They were also able to upgrade the room. We were very grateful at the end of a long day travelling. The complimentary breakfast was good, and staff very helpful. The pastries were really good.

Room was ok, the usual you would expect from this type of hotel. However if parking in the multi storey car park at the airport, it was very difficult to find any consistent and clear signage identifying the route to the hotel, it was very poor.

Ideal when catching an early flight. Minutes away from the departure terminal. Comfortable room, Continental breakfast available from 4am.

Stayed after holiday as flight arrived in the evening. Reception staff very curteous and dealt with efficiently. The route from the airport building to the hotel was closed so had to follow diversion route. This was around the hotel on quite a narrow path and then through the car park. I was disappointed that I was not notified by the hotel about this nor was there any apology or notification as to why the normal route was closed which would have been curteous. Some people may find the diversion quite difficult particularly with heavy suitcases

The hotel is so convenient for the airport. Checked in the car at silver carpark then went to the airport for twilight bag drop. The hotel is a couple of minutes walks away. The food and room were good and they even made us up a breakfast bag to collect in the morning as we were checking out before the 4am breakfast opening

The hotel met all our requirements. Unfortunately, as a consequence of redevelopment of Bristol airport, after leaving the terminal building, the hotel is not signposted, leading to a rather dangerous walk along a busy road.

Due to the roadworks and poor signage we found it difficult to get to the hotel.

Close to terminal but still some way to walk uncovered if there is a downpour. Walkways could have weather protection.

Great room... grim breakfast

Overall the hotel was very good, but disappointed by food we had in the evening. Limited choice and what we had was luke warm and in the case of the burger I ordered it had obviously been precooked and left waiting for an order. Food was certainly not value for money in our experience. Staff were very pleasant.

Awful experience with Gluten Free options. My wife is coeliac and there was nothing she could eat

Like many others this hotel is a stop over before an early flight. Reviewing most airline’s requirement for checking in prior to departure time of two hours your hot breakfast is NOT available to anyone with a flight departing before 08:30 (allowing 30minutes to eat and walk to airport.) That isn’t really good enough for a hotel charging the room rates you charge. Your HOT breakfast should be available from your start time of 04:00 as a minimum meaning you could serve passengers on flights from 06:30 onwards.

Checked in after a late flight arrival at 11.30 without issues. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and had good gluten free options as 1 of my family is a coeliac.

Great location. Coming in late from the train station I needed to grab some food so paid for their 24hr bar to get some hot food. Waited 45 mins for ramen that never showed up until I had to find a staff member and ask them where the food was. Not worth the price of the room but if you do need to be at the airport early then the location is ideal.

Overnight stay for early flight, was worried about the food because of other reviews. Food was fine ,limited menu but good for what it was. Staff all excellent and a special mention for Keith, great to meet people who understand customer care
