I specifically booked this hotel, which was almost 8 miles away from the airport because of the shuttle service I could have booked the Holiday Inn at 1.8 miles with no shuttle service and arrive to find out since the hurricane a year ago they no longer offer shuttle service. I was very shocked and surprised because it was a nonrefundable booking. This is a huge error and I’m very disappointed

Great place to stay. Larger truck parking friendly!

It was great. Occasional spotty wifi. Televsion had reception issues where pictures broke up. The hot tub was hit or miss when it worked, but not fully functioning. Breakfast was great and something different each day. Could use new lounge chairs, some ripped and showed age. Otherwise enjoyed ourselves.

Our week long stay at Comfort Suites in Port Charlotte, FL was great. Clean & staff was helpful & courteous. The ladies at the check-in desk all were the best. The pool was great, clean, and refreshing. Unfortunately we were disappointed that the Hot Tub was out of service for our stay.

EXCELLENT. Shuttle service to airport provided at 4:30am, early, call to room to let me know shuttle was there. Above expectations and highly encourage reserving a room at this hotel!

We picked this hotel as it stated they provided free airport shuttle. They do not. We had to get an Uber at the airport as they no longer have airport shuttles since the hurricane. We asked to be reimbursed but the front desk said they can not help us.

Property located near shopping and dining area, the hotel itself was very clean, the staff were very nice and greet you with warm welcome, rooms were very very clean, good breakfast.I was very pleased with my overall experience, will definitely return!

Staff allowed a guest to bring a dog into the breakfast area. My room had ants by the desk.

Stayed on the first floor and you can tell it is a dog friendly hotel since the wet dog smell was very overpowering. Found 3 cockroaches crawling around the room and I wasn't fast enough to take a picture until i went into the bathroom and caught one crawling on the counter. Let’s just say, no one slept at all. DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY!! Cracked with open space near the AC so wondering if all those cockroaches are coming from there. Reserved 3 nights but left after one night.

There was black mold on the bathroom wall next to the shower in Room 305, and small cockroaches roaming the bathroom floor. Our family was staying on the first floor and one of the people in the room had a cockroach on their cheek in the middle of the night. I do not recommend staying there. Not to mention there was a dog barking most of the night in the next room.

We had a cockroach climb on us in the middle of the night. But I will say the staff was very helpful, changed our room for the night and then gave us a full refund so we could stay somewhere else. The staff was very nice and helpful. But the hotel has a moldy smell in the rooms and a pest problem.

Room had fleas my husband and I both were bitten several times by the fleas.

As soon as we entered the room the musty wet smell of old water hit our noses. There were 2 dehumidifier’s in the room beeping because they were full and needed to be empty We turned the ac down but in 5 minutes my eyes were running and my throat was itching. Before putting anything away I went down to the desk and asked the lady who checked us in if all the rooms were like this. Her answer, (to a native Floridian who frequently stays in hotels all over Florida ) was that “ it’s a Florida hotel, they are all, like that!! Ha. What a crock So I just smiled and said thank you and returned to my room and took a bunch of allergy pills. Then about every 3-4 hours the dehumidifiers would star5 beeping to be be d7mped again (all night to). The room was fine as were the staff. Very very friendly. And beside the ridiculous remark made by the check in lady even she was very nice.

This is a nice hotel but they have an issue with mildew and humidity. The room was musty like a basement. There’s a dehumidifier in the room but the reservoir was full and needed to be dumped… which I did. At 6 am the unit started beeping indicating that it was full and again needed to be dumped. The thermostat on the wall wasn’t working either and the room got up to 84 overnight, so that didn’t help with the dampness and odor.

Rooms and common areas are impeccable. Staff is super friendly. There was a lady taking care of the breakfast area (in the morning) who was so helpful; approachable, friendly and beyond diligent. She made our stay super pleasant.

The check in went smooth. The place is dated. Our room was quite dark with the old kind of carpet you don't want to walk barefoot on. Our bed mattress was quite broken in. Very soft, so that you toss and turn and end up with a back ache in the morning. There is always coffee available in the lobby. The breakfast area looked clean. Would I stay there again? NO! We checked out the next morning and got another hotel. It wasn't on the cheapest side, I expected better.

Staff member were really friendly and it was a nice places to stay at. However, when we check in and entered the elevator there was a terrible smell and seemed really dirty. We loved our room, it was spacious and everything we needed. But in many cases I was constantly waking up at night because I heard other room door closing because of the loud banging.

Walls are paper thin! Could hear every conversation and snoring next door. Seems like a popular truck stop too. Would ask to keep “quiet hours” after a certain time. Lots of traffic and loud talking in the hallways. Great internet connection to work remotely so appreciated that , and the lemon infused water!

Clean and comfortable if a bit noisy. The walls seem thin, but my sons enjoyed the breakfast and the hot tub!

Everything was great but the pillows were very small. Other than my experience was good

Water issues in the bathroom, toilet not refilling so flushing was a pain. Tub drain so slow water was up to my calves

I think it's time to invest in changing the furniture and remodeling the rooms.

We have stayed at this hotel repeatedly when flying into / out of PGD. Off a main highway in Port Charlotte. Close to several dining options from Burger King to Cracker Barrel. Also situated close to Public grocery - walkable distance to all. Very friendly desk and housekeeping staff The rooms are a bit small and dank/humid (but less so than our last stay). Carpet was soaked by the AC unit. Beds are comfortable, shower pressure is weak. Breakfast has amazing options (muffins eggs sausage cereals yogurt fruit variety of juices coffee creamers etc.) and always delicious. Close to Punta Gorda airport so perfect for a quick stay at the beginning or end of your trip. NO LONGER has an AIRPORT SHUTTLE which means you need to cab or Uber (not readily available after midnight if your flight is delayed like ours). We'll stay again.

TV reception "spotty". Shower Sprayer kept sliding down the pole so that you could not stand in the shower to get wet. It also had a drip-drip which we couldn't find (was reported to front desk). Breakfast food not hot and reg. coffee ran out around 8;30 (didn't close until 9:00). Also, bathroom door wouldn't stay open. Evening staff at check-in was very peasant and helpful.

Room was renovated recently and it's so comfortable and spacious and clean. Bed was very comfy and pillows. Like the pool area and the breakfast was simple but adequate. Would stay again if I'm ever in area.

No housekeeping in 3-day stay

Terrible service. I'm trying to check in and the woman at the front desk is totally rude. It's 3:30 and my room isn't ready. The only solution she gives me is to get out of here if it bothers me. I've been a client of this hotel for a long time and the only one I've always had problems with is her. I think it's a matter of discrimination and I feel totally disgusted. They don't have a bit of empathy. I'm with my service dog because I'm a sick person. I feel very bad about the treatment I received. Fortunately, they changed shifts and the person who came in was very attentive and compassionate with my situation. They should have better customer service because we pay for a service and to be calm, not for them to treat us badly and tell us to leave if this situation bothers you. It's not right. I will never return to this hotel. Sadly, it bothers me because it was close to the hospital where they do my therapies.

Our experience over all was great. I will say that Miss Barbara is the most caring woman, and is so attentive to her customers in the breakfast area. This woman goes above and beyond to make sure all is a great experience. She is always walking around asking people if all is okay and if they need anything, wiping down tables, counters and does it all with a smile. I cannot say enough about this Miss B. We were here for a traumatic family emergency and ehe sat with us and talked to us about it and she and her kind words would help to ease the pain we are going through. As you can see she has made a strong impact on us daily as we now call her Miss B, she is family to us now. We would stay here again due to her kindness and her big heart. Her smile and kindness is infectious. I cannot express how amazing Miss B is. She is an asset to your company. If I may make a request she deserves a tip jar! The room attendants get tips and there's hardly any interaction. Would only be RIGHT that Miss B have a tip jar. The staff at the front desk were amazing and very helpful as well, thank you all for your kindness.

The front desk staff set the tone for any place I stay and our check in was both seamless and joyful. The manager on duty attended to us and she was a blast to interact with.

We visit Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte regularly and always stay at the choice Suites. The staff and the hotel are exceptional. Everybody is extremely nice and professional and go out of their way should you need anything. I highly recommend this hotel over any other in the area

My husband and I own a Handyman Business and once every couple of months we rent a room to get away, relax and be alone. This was our 2nd time there and had a perfect weekend. The nighttime guy Derek was there again and I can't say enough about him. He is so personable, funny and really goes out of his way to make our stay great. I was so upset when we showed up Friday evening only to find out I had booked the wrong dates through Hotel.com. He calmed me down got us into a room and told me what to do to change my other date to saturday. Hotel.com was very good too, the guy called Derek and between the 2 of them everything got straightened out and within an hour, my husband and I were relaxing in the jacuzzi and pool. We had a great stay. You are blessed to have such an outstanding employee. We look forward to coming back next month.

Arrived at 10:30 pm for check in. Was informed by the front desk clerk that they had overbooked 15 rooms and we were out of luck. He did point us to a nearby hotel and said check there. Luckily, we also had reservations at a different hotel nearby for some of our group and they were able to get us a room. They had a cancellation so we were in luck. No advance notification of the situation. The poor desk clerk was left to inform 15 surprised and angry customers. He was very apologetic

We stayed for one night, but our experience was disappointing. We had previously stayed at this hotel a few months ago, and despite booking and paying for a king room, we were given a room with two queen beds. The receptionist assured us we would receive a refund, but it never happened. At the time, we chose not to file a formal complaint, but this time, we can’t overlook the issues. During this stay, just before heading out to dinner, we discovered that the toilet was clogged. We informed the front desk, but they told us there was no maintenance staff available and handed us a plunger. Since we were leaving, we agreed to handle it when we returned. Upon our return, a different receptionist gave us the same response. My husband insisted on changing rooms, but they told us the hotel was fully booked. We found it unacceptable that we were expected to fix an issue we didn’t cause. Regarding cleanliness, the room was generally clean, and the hallways smelled pleasant. However, I noticed an odor near the bathroom door that persisted even after using Lysol. The room itself didn’t smell bad, but the hallways had a fresher scent. The bathroom setup was also inconvenient. There was no proper space to place toiletries—just a single hook behind the door and the disability handrail for towels, which didn’t seem appropriate. Additionally, the water temperature was inconsistent, fluctuating between extremely hot and cold. The drain area had peeling material and rust

Location was great for food but hard to enjoy the outdoor pool with all of the highway noise comming from interstate 75.

The hotel seemed to be undergoing construction of some sort and there was another business next door that was under construction. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. The room was as expected. It is convenient to the Punta Gorda Airport.

Just stayed one night here. Comfortable, quiet and a good location off of RT75 with many dining options nearby.

Hotel was clean, rooms nicely equipped and decorated. Breakfast was lame with watery eggs and lame cold sausage.

Reasonably priced with breakfast included and 24/7 coffee. Beds were comfortable and clean. Pool area was nice and well kept.

I stayed at the property because it was priced well and offered breakfast. I was very disappointed that breakfast didn’t start until 7. I have stayed at many hotels and this is the first time that breakfast didn’t start at 6-6:30! So unfortunately I picked the wrong place to stay since I had to leave for my golf tournament by 6:30. I had to eat crackers for breakfast. Another disappointing thing was that my room wasn’t cleaned.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the hotel room had dirty carpet and didn’t smell clean. There were construction workers that were apparently staying at the hotel that were doing work on the roof. They were loud in the morning as early as 6:00am. The hot tub had leaves, cigarette butts and other trash when we arrived. The pool was full of leaves. I understand that it was very windy that day, but the leaves were still in the pool at the end of the next day. The coffee was very watery and the eggs tasted like the imitation kind. There was not a variety of oatmeal or other items that we’re used to having at other hotels.

Great area to walk the dogs, but the breakfast was nasty. I believe they use no name, cheap breakfast foods.

We enjoyed all of our accommodations! They also let us bring our Lab ! The breakfast served was wonderful and changed every morning we were there. There was a young man that worked the desk that was an absolute pleasure always pleasant and smiling. I feel bad that I didn’t remember his name . He was a young black male .Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
