Always like staying at The Hotel. Love my view of the university. Love the convenience of all the food places. Enjoy that you can now contact the front desk via text instead of calling or going down. Having both the escalator and an elevator not operating was a very large inconvenience. Waiting 10 minutes for an elevator is crazy and no steps are not an option. The escalator has been broken since i was last there in December. But regardless will still be back in April and May and August

The location was great. The amenities were great, I wasn’t too impressed with the the spa, gym pool area, but at least they had it available. The rooms are nice, I don’t like the fact they make you pay for parking but hey wherever you can drain your clients.

Amazing spacious, clean and beautiful rooms. Great amenities including the indoor pool that my kid loved and the gym. Also loved having various food options right down in the lobby. The parking was easy and reasonably priced. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Hope to return and stay longer in the future.

I liked everything about the property. The room was beautiful and very well kept. The only thing I would complain about is the price for parking every night. Parking should be free for hotel guests. All in all, I would definitely recommend it.

Great property and location. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Only issue was the pool closed about an hour after we arrived and never reopened. This was a bid disappointment.

Everything was excellent - expect for the elevator situation. Only two of the three elevators were working and the lines to get to rooms were very long in the lobby and the wait for getting an elevator was very long in peak times like check in time.

So while there the facility was clean and thriving and full of courteous people! But - the main bar was closed and surrounded by black wall off curtains. Sad because I was meeting a nephew for a drink:( The pool was empty- because it was FREEZING and not worth trying to get in to. So those two inconveniences had me rate it lower than I would have. We have to go back in November and I am hoping these issues are rectified .

Great location near the University of Maryland — ideal for a college visit. We had two rooms: one was excellent, while the other fell short. That room had a noticeable odor, a much firmer bed than the other, worn window treatments, and a shower with only a handheld sprayer that couldn’t be mounted, making it inconvenient to use. Despite the inconsistency between rooms, the hotel itself was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also had a fantastic meal at Iron Rooster — the food was delicious and the service was top-notch.

Everything about my stay went smoothly. The room was impeccable, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Amenities were excellent, and the dining options were wonderful. However, I would caution future guests about room location — avoid rooms at the end of the building. I stayed in one next to the parking lot for a week and needed to work from my room, but the Wi-Fi was so slow that I had to rely on my hotspot. Otherwise, it was a great experience overall.

We stay with one child in the sofa bed and the mattress of the sofa bed was extremely thin, so much that our kid can feel the metal frame. We asked for an additional mattress and the staff came and added a blanket but it didn’t improve the bed experience at all.

Very convenient location. Room was quiet. Bed was comfortable. There were lots of electronic amenities that didn’t work (e.g., toilet light didn’t work, one of the shades switches didn’t work). If you are near sighted, you need your glasses to read the digital panels to turn lights off or on ( a switch seems much more sensible and less likely to go awry). Shower head was handheld but difficult to adjust height and didn’t tilt. So… lots of interesting ‘luxury’ ideas but poor execution of them.

The staff was exceptional from check in to check out. One in our group got sick while staying at the hotel and the staff went above and beyond to provide comforting, "home away from home" service, including delivering chicken soup and masks to our door! This is an exceptional hotel (spotless, quiet, beautifully appointed) with exceptional, professional staff. I would not hesitate to stay again.

NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD!!! I had 2 stays at this hotel in September 24. I looked at my credit card statement a few days later and had been charged $150 and have no idea why. I contacted the hotel FIVE TIMES. They never answered my question, sent email escalations (allegedly), gave me disconnected phone numbers to call. Still no refund. I waited to leave this review but this hotel has such little focus on customer service, they’d rather rob me instead.

The Hotel overbooked on the night we arrived and cancelled our reservation while we were still on the flight. When we landed, we were notified through the Expedia messaging app that the hotel was sorry that we had to cancel our stay, despite us not having altered our reservation. We were still confirmed through Expedia. When we called the hotel they put us on hold for half an hour while they pretended to look for our “lost” reservation knowing full well that they had given the room we reserved to someone else. When asked if they could compensate or rebook us another room, they refused to give help. Despite us being patient through our frustration, the staff named Sandra, responded with a lot of attitude. Expedia relocation services continually offered “comparable” rooms but quickly reneged after contacting hotels which were also overbooked. This is the last time we will be booking packaged trips through Expedia. In the end, we called a motel on our own which happened to have availability and booked by phone. Future travelers in the Maryland and DC area should be weary of booking here if they want to have a guaranteed reservation.

This is a lovely hotel, however, much of the staff is very snobbish. We arrived on Sunday around 2 PM and were promptly told that check-in was not until 4. We waited it out, but I did not appreciate the brush off. In addition, the coffeemaker is an ILLY. I knew how to operate this, but it was not operating properly, so I had to stand and keep pressing the icon (4 times) to get a regular cup of coffee. The rooms do not have a microwave. I find this inconvenient. TO be such an expensive and convenient hotel, they amenites do not match expectations. This was not my first experience there, but it will be my last. Last year, the rate was doubled for my last night there with no explanation. Since I was there at my own expense to be a judge for National History Day, I was very shocked. I asked to speak to a manager, but one was not available. I got phone numbers and called the next day. I left a message, but was not called back. I called a second time, again with no response. I do not believer this is good customer service. I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the campus. WIthout a car, it was walkable to my judging assignments, but I will figure something out in the future.

Stayed here numerous times and front desk staff always quite surly. Efficient but unfriendly and not welcoming. Not a great reception for a hospitality business. Hotel is nice though, clean and good sized rooms in a great location for the University.

I have stayed at property at least 10 times in the fall & spring. This stay was marred by 3 guests in the next who had their phones on speaker and were talking very loud and laughing. I called down to the front desk no answered. Then I went to the front desk and they sent up security. I had to eventually move out of my room at 12:45. So frustrating.

Perfect location for me to see clients we have in DC area while.also getting to clients in Baltimore area. Walking distance to any U of Maryland sporting event. Plenty of dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, also happy hours!

The Hotel at College Park is where we always stay while in Maryland. It’s an excellent value and centrally located. Hotel restaurants are great. Iron Rooster is great for breakfast. Grillmarx is pricey but worth it. Bagels and grinds is good for a quick bite.

The executive lounge breakfast was very medicore Many times food items were missing for eg on one of the days cold milk was there but no cereals to go with them. This was 1st thing in morning. One day some limited hot food was there but most days no hot food. Variety was very very limited. Stay was very good in the hotel but executive lounge breakfast that was free with the stay was as good as not worth it.

We love staying in this hotel. Overlooking the University of MD grounds is beautiful. The Grill Marx restaurant is consistently fantastic, hotel amenities are top notch, the pool, spa and lobby bar are also favorites. Highly recommend!

The property was clean - NEW - MODERN and just wonderful. GREAT restaurants in the hotel easy access and parking very easy as well. It is located right at the University of Maryland and everything was walkable. I will definitely stay there again -- staff were so helpful and pleasant.

Absolutely gorgeous! Everything about the hotel was amazing, and the staff was wonderful. Stunning lobby, incredible room - my teenagers were throughly impressed. There were great food offerings right in the hotel, but it was also convenient to a great strip of offerings. Walkable in warmer weather. Overall an amazing stay - wish it was for longer!
