The room was not very clean. There was a fork on the floor by the refrigerator and a q-tip on the floor in the bathroom. The light outside our door didn’t work, so it was very dark to get in our room. Otherwise it was just average.

This is an "old-style" motel right across the street from the entrance to the locks, so super convenient. It's the style of motel that I remember staying in as a kid 60 years ago. So it could use some freshening up. And back then, a small bathroom wasn't a big deal. Look, it was a place to stay in a tourist town. If you're going to spend a lot of time in your hotel room, this will strike you as a bit dingy. But if you're using it simply as a place to sleep and shower while you do touristy things away from the property, it'll do. Breakfast was . . . meh.

The room was clean enough for one night but definitely needs renovation. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mildew. Staff was excellent. Good location.
