The room was extremely small—much smaller than a typical hotel room. There was no storage whatsoever: no wardrobe, no dresser/drawers, no space in the bathroom for toiletries, no space to get ready and no fridge in the room. There wasn’t even enough floor space to properly open our suitcases. I wouldn’t recommend booking unless you’re travelling very light, as we could barely move around or pass each other without squeezing. Even accessing the toilet required awkwardly navigating around the bathroom door. The room also felt quite worn and in need of a thorough clean. I noticed marks on the walls, visible dust, and the throw on the bed appeared dirty, which added to the overall impression of poor upkeep. After checking in, I raised my concerns with staff about the size of the room and lack of storage. However, I was told there were no larger rooms available, and no alternative solution or compensation was offered. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially as I had booked it to celebrate my husband’s 30th birthday. It fell well below expectations and felt more like a budget hotel, despite the price. For the same cost, we could have stayed somewhere of a much higher standard.

Very central boutique hotel, great first impression, nice breakfast, basement room but fine, could have done without fellow guests stomping around above at 5am

The hotel is exceptional in presentation and staff attentiveness. Fabulous value with a welcome glass of fizz and nibbles and breakfast included. Such a nice touch. Having the little bar at the thoroughfare of the hotel made it a very sociable check in experience… I didn’t make it to the room for 2hrs 😬😂 a proper boutique hotel experience

I really wanted to like this hotel, but it didn’t click. The WiFi didn’t reach my room downstairs which was really annoying for work and wanting to watch Netflix etc. The room was really small with the door on a really heavy spring - which made getting bags through the door really awkward. The walls were paper thin so it was a little grim having to listen to next door’s “engagements” over the course of the evening and in the morning …. And the breakfast was pretty sparse and disappointing. The staff were lovely and am sure it’s a lovely hotel for a weekend visit to Manchester, but for work - I’ll stick with the big brands in future. Sorry!
