Pros: - good location - clean and spacious rooms Cons: - separate parking and resort fees. They do communicate this upfront though - we chose this hotel primarily for the large indoor pool which was closed for most of our stay - may not be specific to this casino hotel in the area. But the entire place smelt of cigarettes. Wish they had specific smoking zones that were separate like in Atlantic City or Las Vegas!

Really not sure why it took 15 minutes to check in. I was the only person in line. The front desk person needed a thousand keystrokes and a manager to get me some room keys. The room smells like cigarette smoke despite being non smoking. Indoor pool is closed. It’s a struggle to understand why people think this hotel is somehow better than Harrahs, Caesar’s or even the GN. It’s a real bummer.

Nice room. Casino hotel so no complimentary breakfast but there is a casual restaurant and a Starbucks in the hotel as well as other restaurants in walking distance. Love the swimming pool and hot tub. Close to Lake Tahoe and Heavenly Ski Resort.

The arcade is not functioning properly — there is a room that charges $12 but offers nothing in return, as most of the equipment is either broken or missing parts. The elevator button is faulty and its components are falling off. The pool has time restrictions, only operating from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s no longer worth staying there. It used to be very good, but this time the experience was terrible.

Rooms are outdated, mattresses and pillows were terrible , furniture was old and cabinet door didn’t close. No extra blankets in the room. Paying a resort fee and then having to pay for parking was ridiculous especially when the parking garage is dirty , full of trash and overflowing garbage cans as well as being super old and the elevators are old as well. The keys to get in n out of the parking garage didn’t always work. Not much to choose from in the way of food either. The indoor swimming pool was only good thing about the entire hotel. Will not stay here again.

The room was good. It was clean. I can't figure out why for 2 people they only give you 3 bath towels and not 4. The worst part was you have to pay for parking, $20 per day unless you register your players card then it's $10. It's a pain every time you come and go having to put in your room key, because it doesn't always open right away. We thought the casino was a dud. Not very big and almost like a morgue. Went over to the Golden Nugget across the street and it was lively more like a casino. They also charge to park but sign up for a card and get enough points and get 4 hrs for free. I think I would try the Golden Nugget for a room first.

The moment we walked into our hotel room we saw that the floors hadn't been cleaned (carpets and bathroom floor). When we walked into the bathroom we saw poop and blood on the toilet seat - it was absolutely disgusting. The counters and nightstand were also dirty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in God knows when.

Very run down hotel. Gross carpet. Pool was old and gross. Dirty room with stains everywhere, dirty doors and walls, paint chips, old tape on the walls, wallpaper peeling off, coffee stains on the wall, weird sticky stuff on the front door. Broken elevators, not enough staff to help with check in. Wouldn’t stay here again especially because it was so expensive.

Our trip to Ballys hotel casino and resort, it's a dump!!! Trash every corner you turn, its Filthy as can be the casino employee are very rude and if you call front desk to ask for anything no one answers at all till late in the evening and they are no helping with the complain at all, we had our room very dirt with spider cob webs all over the lamp in the wall by our bedside and the lamps in front of the beds going up to the ceiling, the carpet hasnot being clean in years smell disgusting inside the room windows are lock up, this is my second time booking here through Expedia and will be the last this Hotel its not a resort what so ever!!! but they charge like is everything is top notch... and ITS NOT, SHAME ON YOU FOR NOT DO BETTER WHEN YOU GUYS SAY ITS A RESORT!!!😡😡😡...A complited DUMP!!!

Room was super dirty! Hair in the towels and shower. Counters were super dusty as if they haven’t been properly wiped down in a WHILE. Carpets had crumbs, don’t seem to be vaccumed either. Coffee machine was disgusting, do not use! Beds were uncomfortable and also did not feel very clean.

The "resort" is very dated and just smells really bad. Duct tape is used in the hallways to adjoin the carpet pieces. Room was fine but we didn't use any other facility such as a restaurant because of the extreme stench of stale cigarette smoke. Would never stay here again on future visits to this beautiful area.

The bed was horrible. No USB ports for charging, no glasses for beverages. Poor water pressure and water damage hole in ceiling bathroom. It was clean just not comfortable and no amenities. Won’t stay there again.

Obviously an older hotel. Rooms are in good condition but the rest of the casino looks run down. Blackout curtains let light in all the way across the top. Beds are older and “saggy”. Delta Sol restaurant in casino had good food and excellent service. The area is very walkable and safe.

Always enjoy Bally’s and the nice rooms and large bathrooms; however, this last day was not as satisfactory. I stayed on a Monday night and most of the parking garage and grounds were empty meaning there weren’t too many patrons, I appreciated the room on the 17th floor from the attendant but did not expect to be placed in room 1727 that was directly next to the elevators. Therefore, as a light sleeper, it was a rough night to say the least with the noise.

The price was a good deal, and it was close to Harvey’s amphitheater where I was seeing a show. But my non-smoking room smelled very strongly of cigarettes. There was a used washcloth on the bathroom counter and an open bar of soap. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The next morning I discovered the hair dryer did not work.

We were on the 11th floor, with a view of Lake Tahoe. Absolutely stunning! The room was spacious and clean, with the king size bed very comfortable.

3 days after staying ,they charged me $53.12 additionally except resort fees $30.78 and parking fees $20. When I checked out they gave me bill $50.78. I don’t know why they charged me that. Tried to call hotel several times but couldn’t connect with them. It’s currently claiming. The front desk seems to be handling work unskilled. For calling and claiming I spent a lot of time.

When we arrived at check in time our room wasn’t ready. We checked back in two more times to find that it still wasn’t ready. They said they would then wave the resort fee/parking (thankful) and call us when the room was ready. They did not. We had dinner reservations which we running behind for because we didn’t get to check in until 2 and a half hours after check in time. Then the last day of our stay we find that we have been charged double the amount that we were supposed to and the fees they were going to wave were still on the bill. When asked to speak to a manager we were told no one would be in until 1pm (on a Sunday). After calling the number we were given several times someone finally answered to tell us that there won’t be a manager in until tomorrow. So now we are out time and money and there isn’t anyone to make it right because they don’t have a hotel manager on site all day Sunday when people check out. The woman at the front desk wasn’t helpful and was very dismissive. Thankfully Expedia was helpful and are trying to help make things right. I wouldn’t recommend a stay there where they do not properly communicate fees and are poorly staffed.

The worst check in experience ever. We arrived at 4:20 pm and the check in line already was very long. They only had 2 young people at the check in desk. With only 2 people, the line moved very slowly. It took us over 90 minutes to get to the desk and we were told our room wasn’t ready. We had to go back later in the evening to get our room. We had a concert to go to and didn’t get back until 11 pm. Now, they had one person at the desk who told another guest that there was no manager or assistant manager available. They went home earlier. Unbelievable! We finally got our room and were able to get in the room at midnight. I travel around the world and stay in very small hotels up to very large hotels. I rarely give reviews of my stays but this experience was so bad that I had to speak up. My wife and I will not be staying here again! We’re in our 60’s. Believe me, I have never seen such a poorly managed hotel. Check in should be a relatively easy experience. It should not be a nightmare.

Checking in was absolutely horrible, took 50 mins. Staff did not act with urgency, they kept going into the back room for multiple minutes after helping only 1 or 2 customers and then did not bother to apologize when I mentioned how long it was taking. Café del Soul was very understaffed. It was almost 45 mins before anyone acknowledged us to even take our drink order. Room was relatively clean but some furniture was broken, drawer and cupboard door. Hotel was a bit confusing to navigate at first since it was our first time here, maybe more signs where you can clearly see them would help.

The staff is friendly and helpful. I felt safe staying here. The room was big and clean. The beds are comfortable. The location was very good we were able to walk to nearby shops, restaurants, chocolate champagne. We only had 2 hand towels in our room. We called the desk and towels were sent up quickly. Didn’t really care for the shower water pressure. Overall we had an amazing experience at Ballys

I didn't like that the heater was on so high in the hallways and casino area. Also the cleaning lady didnt knock and walked in and saw my husband naked. When we told front desk they said did we have the do not distrub sign on!! She didnt knock and walked in!! We hadnt checked out

From the front door to the restaurants to the desk staff , everything was bad. Horrible service. Dirty room on arrival. The carpet was wet. The walls were dirty. Coffee bar was gross. Then, during the stay, They don’t even clean your room unless you tell them to. But Good luck getting an answer at the desk or being able to find someone. The hotel is very old and in poor condition all around. The conditions of an establishment can be overlooked if the staff is decent. But The staff was horrendously rude, unfriendly, and sparse. $1,400 for 3 nights. Embarrassing.

staff in front lobby lazy as can be. always asking for help and running to back of office taking everyones time very unprofessional and waited to check in for a long time. tried countless times to contact the lobby from hotel room no one there to answer calls. even when approching hotel called to confirm room availability just let the phones ring. room not up to par at all. 4 of my 5 towels had hairs on them which is wild!

I will say the stay was comfortable and clean but management need to work on how allowing guests check in before 4. We came in at 1, checked to see if our room was ready…”no sorry check in is at 4” We came back at 3:30 and the check in line was LONG!! We were in line for an hour, yes an hour! Finally our turn…. Wellll our room still not ready. I talked to the manager asking what was the delay and our were we going to be comped, she had the gall to ask how have we been inconvenienced? Really it’s 4:36 and our room is still not ready… fine she said I’ll credit you the resort fee. The guests next to us (waiting for their room to be ready to) they couldn’t believe how she was talking to us. By the time we walked up to our room the line was twice as long and people upset over this ridiculous wait!!

First night, asked for two more pillows and some more coffe. Called them twice, both times said they were coming..never did. Second day toilet clogged. Went down to front to let them no we needed pur toilet unclogged. They said someone would be right up..they never came. Went down again and they said someone already came.nwe said..nope, they never did. Finally someone came..nocked on our door, handed us a plunger and took off. So we unclogged the toilet ourselves. Horrible concierge service. Also,one elevator was broken and it took forever just to catch an unfull elevator. We waited over 5 min at times. Ice machine on our floor was broken Room not the cleanest. For the price we paid and after the experience we had, there is no way we will ever stay here again.

The location at this property is great as it’s only a few minutes walk to Heavenly village. The rooms were wide and comfortable for us as we normally carry a lot of things like coolers, beach chairs, and luggage. Bathrooms are spacious as well. We reserved a non smoking room and it was great. A/C was importantly for us as we visited in July and worked well during our stay. Parking was easy and the parking garage had plenty of space. Self parking garage was clean and had easy access to the hotel. We will stay again here for our next trip

Room was large, but didn't have anything other than a bed, desk and two desk chairs. Bathroom and shower were large. Plenty of space. Had a refrigerator, but they don't offer microwaves. Location was excellent. Fitness center and indoor poor were really nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy access to all attractions in the area.

It's dated; the bathroom was missing tile, shower pressure was weak, and the pillows/bedding are pretty sub-par. Also the smokiest of all the casinos with the least amount of food/beverage options. We ended up spending most of our time off of the property, and left a day early.

Rooms were nice although housekeeping had to be scheduled. Very few food options and what they did have was way overpriced. Parking is ridiculous at 20.00 per day. Would not stay there again because of all the fees added to an already high room rate.

After a concert Sunday night, returned to Casino at 10:30ishpm. THERE IS NO FOOD AVAILALBE AT ALL - told that all restaurants were closed, no vending machines, no snack shop, nothing. In fact, there was one vending machine with White Castle burgers or breakfast sandwich, and front desk didn't know about it (just around the corner and visible from front desk). A casino ... with no food available. And, the good steak restaurant is ONLY OPEN Thur - weekend. Not open at all Mon - Wed. Room was 80 degrees in summer and heat was on when we arrived in August. Didn't cool down to lower 70s for about 24 hours. Cleaning service every-toher-day and only if you make an appointment. It was fine with no service for 4 days, 3 sets of towels and 2 people.

This hotel is old and nothing was open! The Starbucks was "opening soon" and the vending machines were down, there were no open restaurants to eat at. The lighting in the bathroom was absolutely terrible. I called for extra pillows and blankets and they were not brought up. For what we paid you would have thought it was way nicer, like what is in the pictures and I would have been okay with the price if I could have at least gotten food or coffee at the hotel.

Room very nice and very clean. Went to the restaurant and was told it would be a 25 minute wait due to no one available to clean up tables. I stood there watching a waiter talk to customers at table for over 10 minutes. No one was cleaning the empty tables. Gave up want across the street and had a wonderful meal and did not wait at all.
