The staff let us get in the pool while we waited on them to get a room ready for us. They let us do an early check-in at noon because we had driven all night. It was very quiet and secluded behind the other hotels.

Hotel was great for the money. Breakfast was better than most. Elevator was not the greatest. Room was nice.

Fabulous 1 night stay with family. We booked 4 suites and all rooms were clean and comfortable. Friendly staff, great breakfast options, relaxing ambiance by the fire pit, and many places to hang out in the lobby and outside. Definitely recommend.

The hotel was very clean and staff friendly and helpful. I chose this hotel because I needed a room with two beds and I wanted a decent gym at the hotel I stayed in. The pictures of the hotel gym on their website were accurate. This is the best hotel gym I have seen and used. The other thing I was pleasantly surprised about was the free breakfast provided. Hotel was in a good location for me. Close to the I44 and close to where I was going in Springfield.

Very nice breakfast lady. Best equipped fitness center you can find at a hotel. Indoor pool was perfect! Only thing it needs is a hot tub.

Friendly. Great staff. No luggage carts could be found. It seems other patrons leave them in their rooms so we had to carry all of our luggage out. Great hotel but a lot of homeless people in the surrounding parking lot. Be sure and take all of your belongings from your car.

Our stay was comfortable and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though the pool was out of service we were able to access the Hampton pool next door. Our only complaint was the breakfast choices, limited on protein options and everything was cold.

We stayed here for a couples trip. The hotel was nice. Our room was clean and spacious. I loved having a mini kitchen. The breakfast was amazing. The pool was a little small and a bit chilly. Disappointed that there was no hot tub. The gentleman at the front desk was kind and check in/out went smoothly.

All of the staff were kind, helpful and accommodating. The room was clean. I love that there is a kitchenette complete with dishes, bowls, utensils, toaster, microwave, sink, dishwasher and adequate sized refrigerator and freezer. That is helpful when traveling with a family. Mattresses we firm. Linens were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had more than enough shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. Shower had good pressure and hot water. Lots of storage cabinets, drawers, closet space. The pool was clean, gym as well. I appreciated the touches of having coffee, tea and apples 24/7 in the lobby. There is a small market stocked with common use items and snacks. Breakfast offered a large variety and was fresh and tasty. The outdoor seating area is comfortable, has grills and a fire pit. There is also a walking path. A very short drive to many activities.

The staff was great and the room was pretty nice. The beds are pretty comfortable too! The shower was pretty gross and had someone else's hair all over the floor. The bathroom door also did not lock so with my family of 6, this was not great. The pool is out of order so you have to walk down the street to the hotel by the road(just great in a swimsuit). This isn't the end of the world but I have an 18 month old so it was pretty inconvenient and my husband ended up just staying in the room with her.

Room was clean and we love the kitchen area. Worked perfect for our trip.

Our room was not cleaned very well prior to our stay. I found a dirty tissue in the bathroom corner, food left in the fridge. The girl that worked the front desk on Saturday was lazy and not helpful when my kids asked for towels because we didn’t have enough placed in our room for a family of 5. The guy working Friday night shift was kind. When my special needs child was up at 5am, we were down in the lobby so he didn’t wake up the entire 4th floor- this employee found some markers and coloring sheets. The cook that worked thjs weekend- black guy with a beard made the breakfast great and him and the night shift front desk guy both deserve a raise. Also, I heard from the family we were visiting that this area is not very great, but we didn’t have any problems at all at this hotel.

Hotel should not be rated a 9.4 on Expedia ! Room and bathroom were dirty rugs dirty. I would never stay here again !

Our bathroom I don’t think was cleaned well between guests. It had been re stocked but there were pee spots all over the toilet. I just cleaned it up and went our way. But that scenario discouraged us to use the dishes and utensils in the room because we figured they hadn’t been properly cleaned either.

Really the only issue was that we stayed 3 nights and the beds were never made up or the sheets changed. Some of the trash was emptied but not all of it. Whoever cleaned the room didn’t leave me much confidence about cleanliness or sanitary. Other than that, great experience. They need new cleaning staff or better trained ones.

I stayed about a week ago. During my stay, I woke up at 0330 to itching of my face. I looked around and did not see anything so I took Benadryl. I thought of waking up my husband but with two young children, I didn’t want to make a scene. The next day my face intermittently got swollen became itchy and painful. At one point the swelling wrapped around my neck to the point of interfering with swallowing and breathing. I ended up in the ER with IV fluids, antihistamines, steroids, and antibiotics. During the visit the doctor confirmed I had been bit multiple times by bedbugs. I immediately called the hotel and talked to the manager the following day. Pest control showed up after 1.5 days of reporting and reported that no bed bugs were found, therefore Hilton said they are not to blame and took no responsibility. I have been debating if I should post a review since their report states not bed bugs were found but after speaking with several people about it, they all encouraged I write the review to warn others. Wether bed bugs were found or not, this was the only hotel I stayed at and the bites occurred in the middle of the night while my face was laying on one of their pillows in one of their rooms. This situation was beyond terrifying. It has been a major lesson for myself and my family. Check your rooms before staying and if something happens, even if you initially think it’s not a big deal, report it to the front desk immediately.

Bathroom could have been more clean. This is the first hotel I have stayed at thay we didn’t have to ask for extra towels and pillows. There were plenty in the room!

The property was a little hard to find and there was only a small sign indicating drive needed to turn in on. Neither of the people working front desk indicated any desire to check us in. The room was generally clean except office desk chair which had something spilled on it which I was able to clean with wet rag but shouldn't have to. The shower door had rust and crud built up that needed to be clean. Something wrong with air conditioner. When compressor kicked on made a very loud noise. They did allow us to move to another room which was both quieter and cleaner. If that had been our first room this review would have been more positive.

Wasn't that clean

This Home 2 was not as nice as others I’ve been to. Room needed a spring cleaning… dog hair around the baseboards etc. Ants came out of heat/ air conditioner and were all over wall and end table. Went down to desk for assistance and no sprays available as he did not have key for “shed.”. He gave me a bottle of alcohol spray for me to take care of it. Offered to move rooms but it was after 10 at night and son was already asleep in other room. Staff not real friendly. Woman was ready to leave for day when I checked in. I am used to warm welcomes and pleasant greetings by Home 2 staff. Kid behind breakfast bar never looked up from phone at counter. Love: room layout and kitchenette stuff. breakfast was delish!!! loved the welcome greeting on TV screen… nice touch.

It was the best handicap room we have had yet in our travels. We travel with our nephew who is a full grown man confined to a wheelchair. This hotel has been hands down the best for convenience for him and us. We travel with a full size electrical wheelchair, hoyer lift, and a shower chair, plus luggage. We were impressed. Thank you!

The room was large and clean. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable. The breakfast was not good at all.

The check in was average. Coffee bar was nice to see but, only some coffee was available and no decaf in room. The room was very clean and modern with a beautiful kitchen. Everything but a stove (dishes and silverware included). The breakfast was very good but lacked a person to refill the food. We had to ask the desk clerk to get someone. Our biggest complaint was the television. The channels on the tv were all wrong. For example, HGTV was not HGTV. It was some other station like Freeform or ESPN. A news station was difficult to find due to the mix up of channels. When you are in another location from your home, It's nice to hear news about that city (good or bad). I believe it was Dish Network. Awful.

The air vent in the room is very noisy. Could not turn off. Called the front desk, they could not do anything. Be tortured whole night. Room is 415. thanks

Easy check in

The front desk representative did not have a friendly, positive, courteous disposition.

The front desk was exceptional and very friendly. The hotel was clean and our room was nice, however when we arrived to our room there were dirty dishes left over in the dishwasher. When requesting extra pillows and blankets the front desk was very prompt and nice. There was a woman named Dee who was in charge of the breakfast bar who was unprofessional and rude. She was yelling at the other worker in front of us patrons and was very belittling to her. Also she said "Im not opening the yogurt machines tomorrow with all these kids here" Which really seemed quite rude and unwelcoming to us guests. She was very condescending when answering my questions about the waffle batter and answering other customers also. I will be back to other Hilton Hotels but if ever in Springfield i prefer to stay somewhere where i will not be treated rudely. She was the only employee that was this way, which is unfortunate because the rest of the staff was awesome!

The front desk person only said “put your card in.” Never greeted me, never told me the total price or how much incidentals were, never mentioned amenities or breakfast hours etc Handed me my card keys and just looked at me…

The staff wasn’t very friendly upon checkin. Seemed like evenings were short staffed.

Came in to check in and was told I can’t check in a 6 am. Even though my check in date was the previous day before I just arrived later than expected so I waited till 12pm. By which time I came back and they had lost my itinerary and had wait another hour for them to retrieve it again. After this my stay was wonderful.

Nice property, just wished I got the same treatment as other guests. I run tradeshows and marketing events nationwide and book all hotel rooms for all of our staff. I was checking myself in, while other team members were doing the same with other hotel staff right next to me. For some reason, the other members of my event staff were greeted much more warmly, offered their choice in floor, free waters and informed of the complimentary breakfast and property amenities. I got none of those, even though I booked and literally paid thousands of dollars for everyone's rooms. I'm also a rewards member. What did I do wrong? I'm very courteous, well-mannered and well-spoken. I travel all over the country year-round and this is the first time I've felt compelled to leave a critical review like this. According to several of my team members and other hotel guests who noticed, the most likely reason was because of my ethnicity. Hope this is wasn't actually the case, but I'm having trouble finding another explanation.

Great spot for Universities

Someone broke into my car overnight. No matter how nice the room might be, poor security of the parking lot is unacceptable. Security cameras make no difference. Wouldn’t recommend from a safety and security perspective alone. When advising the hotel staff, they said there’s nothing they can do outside of acknowledge the incident.

We needed a last minute place to stay and Home 2 came through. Perfect location and always trusted.

We were in town for Parents Weekend at MSU and had a great time until our car was broken into overnight. The hotel did offer a shop vac to clean up all the glass, but since there are signs that say they are not responsible….we were just out of luck. The hotel itself was fine, other than hearing barking dogs, but due to the location and lack of feeing safe afterwards, we won’t be staying there again.

Hard to spot in the back

It was a great hotel to stay a couple of nights for a getaway, all the comforts of home, and close to everthing. The kitchen was nice to reheat the huge sandwiches we got from Buckees just a few miles up the hiway. Walmart & Macdoodles were close for some essentials.

It’s off the main drag which is great due to the number Panhandlers in the area. Room had all the comforts of home (dishwasher, garbage disposal, and real silverware.) Bed and pillows were wonderful!! Lots of options for breakfast. The staff was awesome!!!

Stayed here for one night, easy to find off the interstate, welcoming and very kid friendly. Will stay here again on our next trip!

They ran out of breakfast at 8:30 in the morning. The worker said “that’s all we have for today”. But they did allow me to check out at 1pm and the staff was friendly.

Clean, comfortable and close to the highway! The breakfast selection was excellent - and the lady managing the area was very attentive and customer oriented. Plenty of space to eat with a group as well.

The building and amenities seem nice at a glance. The staff seem less than enthused to be at work, unkept, and unfriendly. The breakfast area was filthy and lacked options, slow to restock, and unkept. It took 2 trips to the front desk to ask for conditioner, stores were closed or I would have bought some. First staff said there was no conditioner and handed me keys to a room that was not ours, no clue why, I didn’t ask for keys. I bought bandaids while there and he gave me back too much cash, when I noticed and brought it back down to him, he didn’t seem to care. I asked a different staff for conditioner at that time and he went right to the back and got it. It was a weird stay for a Hilton affiliated hotel, poorly kept and overwhelmingly unfriendly. The building has potential and location was good- it’s the lack of concern with the basics such as kindness, decent beds, clean breakfast area with stocked items, etc.

Our check-in was very disappointing as we were supposed to be able to check-in at 3pm, but our room was not ready and we were not able to check in until around 6pm. All our girls wanted to do was go to the hotel and swim in the pool, so this was upsetting for us. We liked the idea of an outside patio area to enjoy in the evening, but unfortunately it was entirely too cold - even with the fire table. We liked the idea of an indoor pool, but it was much smaller than it appeared in the photos and too crowded for our kids to enjoy. There was also no hot tub, which was our fault for assuming there would be one. We also liked the idea of a complimentary breakfast, but we were very disappointed of the lack of items to choose from. There was gravy, but no biscuits. There were waffles, but no butter. There was only one lady trying to keep everything stocked and she could not keep up as there was a large crowd of guests around 10am. She was very nice in trying to explain that there was a shortage on items and they had been waiting on a supply truck. We did very much enjoy our suite which offered 3 beds, including a fold out couch. Our girls were happy not to have to sleep together. I could definitely see the value in the kitchenette, although we were not there long enough to get much use out of it. All in all, our stay was just okay. If we go back, I will look for a different hotel.

This was the best hotel experience we have had. Their customer service was great! Breakfast was very good and they always had it stocked. They even have portable cook tops, which I definitely put to use! When we didn't need room service they would still at least knock and ask id there was anything we needed! Room had plently of room and accommodated my family of 4 perfectly. I will definitely recommend and will definitely stay here again!
