It is the perfect location for visiting UPenn and/or Drexel U. The hotel restaurant is excellent, but if you want to eat elsewhere, plenty of places are close by and within walking distance. The only minor negative is that the rooms don't have a fridge, and if you would like ice, you have to ask for it. There is no easy access to an ice machine.

The staff is absolutely incredible, especially the doorman. the bed was extremely comfortable. The only downside is parking. It seemed that there was no overnight parking in the area (if there was, I could not find it), so valet was pretty much your only option. I will definitely be returning.

The hotel was very nice, but I was disappointed there were no vending machines or ice buckets. This was especially difficult because there was also no refrigerator in the room (I may have been able to request one, I didn’t try), so I never had a cold drink. The front desk did give me as many free bottles of water as I wanted, though.

Upon arrival the entrance and lobby were impressive, safe was wonderful and pleasant. However our room was something completely different. Stains on the floors, an air mattress that had a hole for the sofa bed, dirty doors and a leaking shower. I do have pictures if anyone would like them. For the price of one night I expected more out of this room.

Upon arrival I asked for a free upgrade and they guy at the front desk said, because I used Expedia I can’t get that. Which was a first, all other hotels honored my Expedia VIP booking request. There was blood on my sheets in the room. The staff wasn’t suprised, they asked if I wanted thr sheets to be changed or to be moved to a different room. Obviously I chose the other room. Where the drain was getting stopped up.

Very clean, comfortable rooms. The shower was fantastic. The staff was super friendly and very happy to help. The valet parking was really easy and my car was ready and waiting for me when I needed it. The restaurant has great eats at a fair price with really friendly servers. Highly recommended.

We were excited to stay at the hotel. Loved the atmosphere when you walked in. Super close to Drexel. However, upon entering the room, one of the women in our party went to hang her coat in the closet, only to have the closet door fall off its track. The room had not been thoroughly cleaned and all the phones had been unplugged. We were moved to another room which needed some attention. There were scratches and scuffs on all the walls, again one of the phones didn't work and more. We emailed the hotel and were addressed by the desk when we were checking out. We were given breakfast vouchers and told the manager would call but never followed up. Additionally, to add insult to injury - when given a new room, we were told to gather all our belongings and bring them down to the desk with the keys to exchange for the new room. No assistance was offered to make it more convenient for the guests affected by the hotel's lack of quality and cleanliness. Disappointed is how I felt about our stay at the Study

The hotel is in a very central location, especially convenient if you go to U Penn. The lobby is very beautiful and the Co Op restaurant that is inside the hotel has a cool vibe. The food is fine, not exactly spectacular, it is just convenient that you can have any meal from breakfast to dinner and even drinks right at the hotel. The waitresses at Co Op are also very friendly and nice. I can’t say the same for the other hotel staff I interacted with. I wouldn’t say they were rude, but certainly I wouldn’t define them as welcoming either. I think that when you work in hospitality a smile, extra patience, a friendly and helpful attitude need to be an integral part of your job and I didn’t feel that was the case with the people at reception I interacted with. Finally, the room was not very clean and certainly in need of TLC: the walls of both the room and bathroom were stained and the paint chipped, the furniture in the room was also chipped and stained with spilled coffee that seemed to have been absorbed into the wood. I really like the clean and minimalistic decor, but the condition of the room needs attention.

This was a beautiful hotel with a wonderful restaurant, clean and spacious room, and great lobby. I do wish there was a mini-fridge in the room. The staff was very prompt to bring us a fridge and microwave when we asked, but would have been great to have one in there. I also found the shampoo situation difficult. With the bottles attached to the wall, it was nearly impossible to tell when you were low/out of supply until you actually were. I was there 7 nights and ran out of shampoo and body wash. I was caught both times mid-shower when it ran out. I had to get out, call housekeeping, wait for it to come (which was prompt) and then get back in the shower to finish up. If

Currently, there is a construction going on next to the hotel, and the work seem to start at 5am on a daily basis (it is possible that it starts early, it is just from 5am the noise gets very loud). The location of the hotel is perfect for visitors to Penn and Drexel, but the construction noise during the night/early morning makes it impossible to get a good night sleep.

The hotel is close to the University and several other attractions. Service can def be improved. On Sunday, I visited its restaurant and it wasn’t as pleased as I would have liked. My server appeared to have a runny nose and was snotting through the service and it made me feel uncomfortable. Also, his uniformed looked dirty and his overall appearance unkempt. Pertaining to my room, the shower was completely out of shampoo and body wash (I learned it when showering). I requested the housekeeper to service my room and please replenish the missing items. She promptly changed those, and shared she will be serving my room eventually (she never did7. Overall, I prob won’t chose this hotel again.

The STAFF is just incredible. Seriously amazing. This was my 2nd time staying for 5 days and I was almost sad leaving them. They were so friendly, so accommodating, and I really felt like they were happy to see me. Special shout out to Milo's Mom! The Study allows staff dogs to be at the property now and again and I was able to get a much needed puppy-fix with Milo. The Co-Op was great. The manager was wonderful. We enjoyed several very good meals there and honestly, I couldn't have felt more looked after when I did show up alone. Everything is a 10 except the rooms..... The rooms were not as good as I remember. We had 3 total and there were certainly some issues with lighting, bathroom storage space and overall room feel. I'm not sure what happened from the last time, but they are not as nice as I recall. The mini fridge was gone. I called for a fridge and did get one, but it was this big beat up box. There was a major lack of proper lighting, no wall decor, and it appeared that shelving or something was missing from the bathroom. I did take photos of all this and I hope to share that with someone directly at the hotel. Because it's a 10 min walk to HUP, I will be staying there again in the future without a doubt. I actually intend on stopping in for lunch during my next day trip. But I do hope they resolve the room issue before my next stay!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel next to the Penn campus. It’s an independent hotel (no brand from Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, etc.) with a very high level of service and cleanliness. I have stayed at the Sheraton and Hilton on campus and this far surpasses them in the overall guest experience. Very highly recommended if you are in University City in Philadelphia.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect—close to local attractions but still quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. I especially loved the breakfast brunch at the Co-Op restaurant —fresh, delicious, and with plenty of options. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again…PS: Parking charges were a bit too high in my humble opinion.

I love this property , very minimal mid century vibe but the young girl working the front desk on Saturday morning has no business working with the public . Extremely rude and very sassy abrasive personality and statements made . The restaurant also served us very rare burgers and my son was ill within two hours of dinner . Order medium well if you want medium and the pasta was also not edible .

We stayed overnight for the Chelsea game ⚽️. The room was decent. Clean. But no microwave, mini fridge or coffee maker. Our breakfast was delivered stone cold, not even room temperature. Scrambled eggs were runny and inedible. $40 for breakfast for 2 people was ridiculous, especially when we couldn't and wouldn't eat it. Disappointed.
