Inside and outside sitting/eating areas are neat. There is a lovely "Cafe Brasil" located adjacent where I had dinner and breakfast which is great food, service, atmosphere and a great price too. This is an absolutely charming little boutique motel. We booked 2 rooms and stayed only 1 night as we passed through LA but we would certainly stay again. We loved the set up. The mini kitchen was great and parking was convenient. We arrived late for check in but the staff person was kind enough to wait for our arrival.

Bed was just a double and adequate. Super quiet all night. Ate an excellent dinner at Cafe Brazil next door. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place. Clean and super cute. Lots of loving attention to detail. I really appreciated the small kitchenette with coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Good to know that there is a laundromat across the street and a small bakery. I will definitely stay there again. Can’t wait to try out the cafe.

Beautiful and quaint property. I loved the colorful exterior and flowers growing around the property as well as the calm Brazilian music playing just outside our door. Awesome Brazilian restaurant there as well. Clean, simple room with a comfy bed. Will stay again

This is an absolutely lovely motel. Its surprising how quiet and relaxing a place it is when it is right there in the city. There is parking on site. The staff there were all really friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely, real charm and character. The parking lot feels like a charming courtyard. Bed comfy and shower hot and strong. Inside and outside sitting/eating areas are neat. There is a lovely "Cafe Brasil" located adjacent where I had dinner and breakfast which is great food, service, atmosphere and a great price too. I will certainly stay here again if I am in this area.

It is really cute. The rooms are not big. But they have everything you needed for a nice stayin a central location. It is clean, quiet and the staff is wonderful and friendly. It has a great restaurant next door.

VB is a hidden gem, a classic California motor court lovingly updated and transformed into a tropical escape. Rooms are small but spotlessly clean; ours had a kitchenette, new mini-split A/C and wall-mounted heater. Unexpected amenities included free water and name-brand sodas in the fridge, along with several fresh apples! Much nicer towels than we've had in similarly priced chains. The area was much quieter than expected on a Friday night. We didn't have the opportunity to try their café but the menu (in room) looks fascinating.

One big bonus is the Cafe Brasil which is connected to the motel. Excellent food and nice casual atmosphere. Also about a block away (walking distance) is a Lodge Bakery with great stuff for breakfast. So super convenient options for food.
