I've stayed here for over 2 months. And let me start by saying that the staff is excellent and polite. However, there's no Wi-Fi and there's no TV, no channels. No news, nothing. so the nice newTV's that are in the rooms are just decorations! more than does it's hard to believe in 2024 and a big city. Basic necessities like Wi-Fi and television are overload by the property owners of this this property.

The rooms are cheap and convenient but there are roaches, a lot of the amenities are older or don't work as good, mirrors sit on the ground or bathroom sink, you have to ask for every little thing from trash bags to toilet paper, homeless people hangout and use the stair ways as bathrooms too. On the upside it is right next door to a convenience store and is a short walk from a majority of the cool places found on Congress, two bus stops right next to it and always plenty of parking. They do not allow guests to have pets but you will hear the occasional dog somewhere inside. Don't use the ice machine and just hangout in your room. Not wheelchair accessible and all the smoking rooms are on the 3rd floor. Wifi does not work unless you stand outside your room door or on the stairways, wifi is apparently more for the homeless than for guests. Pool is filled with dirt and there is no breakfast or anything offered. Perfect for cheap fast get aways. They also do not accept any cash and you can only pay daily according to them.

No cable TV ... No WiFi the entire 3nts I stayed there. No towels in the room when I checked in. A/C unit barely cooled room and was so loud, a 747 taking off would be quieter. Homeless and transient persons sleeping in the stairwells. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Not so much the property, but the hotel was horrible. There was a used dental floss stick on the table stand, a lot of mold on the shower curtain, no WiFi, no breakfast, no pool, the t.v. didn’t work and we arrived to police officers taking care of what looked like a dispute between the hotel workers. I had booked three nights but left after the first night. I was charged the full three nights and haven’t been refunded the two nights I did not stay.

My room was clean, and the AC/heater actually worked. There is ample parking and it's just a short distance from downtown Austin. And it's less expensive than other places. On the downside, there is no Wi-Fi, no refrigerator, nor similar amenities. Think 1970s. This is not to disparage the motel; it's just being descriptive. If you're just looking for a clean place to sleep, at a good price, it's here.

Disgusting room. Blood stains everywhere, smelled like urine. Air exchange blew hot stinky air into our bathroom. We didn’t want to take a shower because of how filthy it was (also used soap left in bathroom) toilet paper roll was almost empty and air conditioner was disgusting and moldy. Hair was in the sink. I have bug bites from the room. Wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. This place should be burned to the ground

Room had bloodstains on wall by sink. Stains on sheets. Bathroom door was taped together. Toilet paper holder missing. Paint peeling off ceiling in bathroom. Had to call 911 at 6:30 am for man banging on room door next to ours. Police said I was one of several callers reporting incident. Police came again after man came back and banged on door more. Terrible experience. You couldn't PAY me to stay there, it's that bad. I don't know why Expedia even advertises it. Shame on them!

If there was a negative star, I would have given that. It’s just torture and waste of money. Cockroach in the washroom, bad smell from the room, and feels like living in an indian slum (may be because the owner is from there). You will get sick. Don’t fall for the price. No wifi, nothing. Believe me you won’t stay for free here.

This is the dirtiest most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed at. Zero cleaning. Blood stains in the room on the walls. Someine's Used fake eyelashes stuck to the lamp. Dried bloody urine on the toilet seat. Used wrappers from shampoo products on the floor in the bathroom. The latch to the door broken off and hanging. The shower equipment with poorly siliconed back together ish. Drug use on the property. Broken down vehicles with flat tires and missing wheels in the parking lot. Massive stains on the mattresses. Staff yelling at each other across the parking lot. This hotel is an embarrassment to Austin. I would have taken more photos but I felt like I was photographing a crime scene.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures. The hotel was a complete mess the room smelled of smoke. The bedsheets smelled horrible. The bathtub was disgusting. I had to clean it out a bit before I stepped into. Take a shower. There were dead roaches all over the bathroom and the vanity area as well as holes in the wall holes in the bathroom door and missing hinges on the door. I felt very unsafe. I had to leave the very first night.

Very bad roach problem. Pulled back bed cover and roaches were in the bed as well as every where else. It was awful and i didnt get any sleep/slept in my vehicle. Bathtub very dirty; microwave dirty; unit very dusty.

The staff was very friendly. Considering our stay was during SXSW it was SUPER cheap, but it was clear why. The room we stayed in was in POOR condition. You could feel the springs in the bed, the AC unit would only allow you to move the temperature cooler; the "UP" button didn't work. The light bulbs were mission from the lamp. The toilet paper holder was ripped off the wall. The pillows were FLAT. The previously used bar of soap was in the shower. The toilet seat was broken and wouldn't stay on when you lifted it. But other than that, it was great :-/

I believe this was an older building. No elevator, so light packing would be ideal if staying on second or third floor. I work overnight so I slept well during the day. Shower was great. Room clean for the most part. Microwave worked well. My fridge did not work throughout my stay and I reported that at check out. Hopefully they fix that or visitor should plan for take out or bring their own cooler.

I requested a non-smoking room and our room reeked of cigarette smoke when we checked in. Our room didn't have a clothing rod for us to hang up our clothes. We had to keep our clothes in our suitcases. Also, 2 nights into our stay a violent fight broke out next door and the police kept interrupting our stay for 2 days. I will never return there.

The TV didnt work, called the front desk for assistance, no answer. We were a group of 3 and they only left towels for 2. They did no provide wi-fi access code. Walls had holes covered with toilet paper or clear tape with some gunk on top, that was not plaster looking. Will nit b coming here again.

Bathroom sink was broken, lamp was broken, tv was broken, mattress was uncomfortable, could feel springs. Room needed a whole remodeling. Wish it couldve been better. When i went to front desk to inform her about the broken stuff, she tried to tell me it was me who did it. I took pictures the same day i arrived and she was very rude.

I got off work late last night and booked for that night. When i tried to check in the guy at the front was very rude and refused to check me in. I tried to explain and ask if i could rent for the night. And he was just rude. He told me to contact Expedia for the refund and then refused to answer when they tried to call the property. So i had to sleep outside and they kept my money. Im not in town tonight just as i tried to tell them and i want a refund but they refuse to answer for Expedia.
I got off work late last night and booked for that night. When i tried to check in the guy at the front was very rude and refused to check me in. I tried to explain and ask if i could rent for the night. And he was just rude. He told me to contact Expedia for the refund and then refused to answer when they tried to call the property. So i had to sleep outside and they kept my money. Im not in town tonight just as i tried to tell them and i want a refund but they refuse to answer for Expedia.

The staff was RUDE! I explained to them I’m having health issues, they refused to move me to a room on the ground floor. They refused to bring clean towels to my room. I’ve stayed there during travel to Austin before, I like the SOCO area. This place has lost a repeat customer!

I had a good experience with the staff but the person I was getting the for had problems with the staff. And they let her stay . I asked for a refund but customer service said I would have to get it from Expedia. Still waiting for Village Motor inn to respond to refund. I didn't receive what I paid for. I should have gotten my refund that day from V.M.Inn.

Several items in the room needed fixed or updated. Property was not kept up. Not much in the area within walking, although bus stop was across the street. Homeless people were always present on the property and things could get loud from time to time - heard from inside the room. Spend a few more dollars and stay in somewhere better.

The rooms are cheap and convenient but there are roaches, a lot of the amenities are older or don't work as good, mirrors sit on the ground or bathroom sink, you have to ask for every little thing from trash bags to toilet paper, homeless people hangout and use the stair ways as bathrooms too. On the upside it is right next door to a convenience store and is a short walk from a majority of the cool places found on Congress, two bus stops right next to it and always plenty of parking. They do not allow guests to have pets but you will hear the occasional dog somewhere inside. Don't use the ice machine and just hangout in your room. Not wheelchair accessible and all the smoking rooms are on the 3rd floor. Wifi does not work unless you stand outside your room door or on the stairways, wifi is apparently more for the homeless than for guests. Pool is filled with dirt and there is no breakfast or anything offered. Perfect for cheap fast get aways. They also do not accept any cash and you can only pay daily according to them.

I would not recommend this place. Sketchy part of Austin south of the walkable areas. Room was not in good shape - would probably fail an inspection. If you’re thinking of this one because the price is good, it’s not worth it.

When I checked in the staff was rude the whole time. This place was extremely dangerous to the point when I went out to eat, I didn’t come back and didn’t even go in the room because of how uncomfortable I felt. I wish I looked at the yelp reviews before looking on here.

Not so much the property, but the hotel was horrible. There was a used dental floss stick on the table stand, a lot of mold on the shower curtain, no WiFi, no breakfast, no pool, the t.v. didn’t work and we arrived to police officers taking care of what looked like a dispute between the hotel workers. I had booked three nights but left after the first night. I was charged the full three nights and haven’t been refunded the two nights I did not stay.

The walls had holes and there were markings on the walls like spray paint. The room smelled like stale smoke even though it was non-smoking. There was a toothpick in my bed that I found after I'd slept in it and there were bugs in the bathroom. Staff was nice enough and the bed was good, as was the a/c.
