Parking on arrival was simple, we stayed where we could see the car out the window. Check in was smooth. The room was missing towels and toiletries, but front desk was immediately accommodating. Hotel was quiet, and not too busy. Breakfast was lackluster. Waffles, cereal, toast, and apples were what was available. I was disappointed in the lack of hot breakfast items like eggs and bacon and such. Not too crowded though. Checkout was smooth and simple.

It was horrible staff was fighting verbally attacking each other in front of us and employe crying in the elevator. Carpet was wet in our room. We didn’t get a room till 3:35 we arrived at 2 pm. The people that arrived at 3 were still not checked in at 4 when we went down to the pool. Pool was great and fun but entry was from outside no access to entry to inside the hotel you have to go all the way around to the front. If you have to pee while in the pool you need a key from staff and go all around inside or go upstairs to your room. I paid cash and was required to pay a 100 dollar fee and when I checked out they could not find the money and I waited an additional 40 minutes in the reception. I can only explain it as very ghetto with then operating at minimum level. No breakfast was open in the morning. Staff was mad clients were mad. It was crazy I can only laugh about it now but I was mad at the time.

We booked this hotel to catch a cruise the next day and didn't want to spend a lot of extra money but wanted something clean and safe. It was clean and safe. Also, For 10 dollars a person, they have a shuttle to take you to the port. The front desk person was helpful when we asked questions. The hotel was fine for what we needed and I would stay here again under similar circumstances

The place was dirty & carpets stained. We booked for the shuttle to the port and continental Breakfast. Shuttle driver was “On Vacation” and the Breakfast canceled due to short staff. Also every other part of the hotel was closed. Gym, Laundry, Pool, etc…. Most of the staff seemed annoyed when you asked them anything. Never again. With a name like Sleep in you assume the bar is set low…. Yet they failed to even reach that. The best part of our stay was after we left.

The only good thing I have to say is the mattress was comfortable. The staff who checked us in was only partially understandable. Our room was badly worn and moldy. The shower rod was broken and I just felt dirty being there. The breakfast was waffles cereal and a few pastries. The next day I tried to voice my displeasure to management and was told to leave it all on here.. I would not recommend this hotel.

I rarely ever leave a review, however this hotel needs one. I booked this because of the reviews and they were not accurate. The room smelled of mold and I later discovered it was from the ac - the floor was constantly wet near the window / ac. There were cockroaches / I had the displeasure of killing a few.

There was a musty smell throughout hotel starting at lobby at checkin. Rooms were no better. Room was not very clean. Dust was all over, and had to remove the top comforter bc it was stained. Breakfast was cold cereal and coffee.

When I got to the hotel it smelled like mold I had payed with Expedia so I wouldn’t get a refund back ! They gave me room 104 the smell was worst !! The room was dirty restroom floor was very dirty I did arrive late so they couldn’t give me another room I left the next day at 7 am

When we got to the room, we dropped our luggage and promptly left to run and grab some food. When we returned, we noticed that the carpets in the foyer and the hallway to our room were dirty. In our bathroom there was a dirty wash cloth on the counter and it was gross. My husband knocked it to the floor. The carpets in the room looked dirty and at this point, I was uncomfortable but it was late. So we climbed into the bed where I felt itchy and uncomfortable. The room just didn't feel clean. In the morning, I checked the "breakfast". It was tiny sugary muffins, sugar cereal, coffee with no cream, only milk. No decaf, some sorry looking apples and make your own waffles where there was a line. No protein of any kind to be found. The hotel in general felt worn out and needs TLC. It COULD be a decent hotel but it just wasn't.

Strong smell of mold walking in lobby. Mold on walls of room. Trash overflowing at checkin. Still there next morning flowing to floor. Lobby floor not cleaned for long time. Key card wouldn’t work. Locked out of room for 55minutes while front desk tried to open. This property should be closed down by city and not booked through Expedia. Breakfast was not worthy of continental. We passed on cheaper hotels because of its connection to Choice. Choice should drop them. I think pictures of mold.

Booked this hotel for one night before our cruise. I almost opted to stay in my car instead… First off, the room was so humid and wet when we entered the room. We had to turn the AC down low to counter act the humidity. The bed was wet. Like I sat down and it felt like I was on a wet blanket straight out of the washer. The room was just old and you can tell they have no climate control. The outlets, lamps, lamp shades, all were rusted. The bathroom had missing paint all up the wall and missing trim. The room was uncomfortable to sit in. It smelt like mildew and I was very uncomfortable. My fiancé had to continue to remind me that it was just for one night. I will not stay at this hotel or one like it again!

The property smelled fresh upon entry then once we got on one of the elevators, there was a stench of fish and it was there for a long time. Additionally, although our room was clean, there were roaches on the counter that sits under the TV. The air conditioner was loud as well. The breakfast was subpar but I wouldn’t have eaten anyway because of the roaches

The property was in a good location near the beach, Moody Gardens, and Palm Beach. Food places were nearby, as well. The hotel was clean on the outside and had safe parking. It was like the only hotel in the area. The room was spacious- we had a king room. The only complaint I had was that my room was never cleaned during my entire stay- I stayed there for three nights. The front desk receptionist was friendly about it, stating the owner had health issues and the housekeeper was working long hours. Then she indicated housekeeping was short-staffed, which is why the room wasn't clean during my stay. I was provided with extra towels for the room each day. If I were given a vacuum cleaner, I would have vacuumed the floor myself, but come on, I was on vacation. There were only a few guests there at the hotel during my stay, and it appeared my family had the entire floor to ourselves on the fourth floor, except for one night. People don't know about the area because it seems to have a limited number of guests, from my observation. Either way, I would recommend the hotel.

I’ve stayed here up on many occasions, but this time was not one of my best . The water pressure in the shower was not hardly even good enough to get the shampoo out of my daughters hair and our towels felt very wet still even though we hadn’t used them. There wasn’t a TV remote , so I went down to the desk, and he gave me one and it didn’t work , It only turn the volume down and then I can’t turn it up.

Stayed here for an overnight stay for my cruise the next morning. Stood in lobby for 10+ minutes ringing the bell and no one came to check us in. Long line grew behind me of customers. When he finally showed up. Didn’t say one word to me. Not a sorry or anything. Beyond rude. Lobby smelt like mildew. To my surprise the room was clean. Though I found a black hair on bedding when I pulled sheet down. Yuck! Breakfast is a joke. Cereal and toast. Ok for a overnight stay but that’s about it.

You get what you pay for. The service here is poor. The owner is cheap and provides minimal amenities. Check-in was slow and took way longer than needed. We reserved two rooms; there were four adults and we were only provided one key per room when all four of us were present at the check-in counter. When we requested a second key, the first key was deactivated. We received two towels but no bathroom floor towel, and when we requested more, we were told they were being washed. There are just enough towels for the rooms being rented. Breakfast is a joke. Only a bunch of carbs: bread, muffins, waffles, cereal, apples, and watered-down coffee. The waffles had a terrible taste. We were told we could have a late checkout, and then the staff came knocking on our door right at 11 o'clock with a fake emergency, telling us we had to leave due to the weather. I will never stay here again.

When arriving to check in no one was there at the front desk, they had a bell to call and I called the number to the hotel to see if anyone would come to answer it. The phone ranged and ranged and no one came. It was about 6 pm and my family and I were already ready to check in so we can rest and relax in the room after waiting an hour at the front desk we then decided to just check in at a cheap motel for 3 nights. Unbelievable and the hotel tried to charge me for the nights I was supposed to stay there but because I had used my card for the other motel it got canceled.

We walked in and the place seemed nice and clean. The attendant was very unfriendly. He was on two phones at once and didn’t even speak other than asking for our license and credit card. He took a call on his cell phone and stood to the side chatting while we were waiting. The lobby area had garbage cans that were overflowing and trash littered the floor next to it. The bedding in the room was absolutely the most comfortable and soft I have ever slept on. That part was amazing. Breakfast? They had cereal, a few muffins, and a waffle maker.

The receptionist (I believe her name was Dee) that checked me in was unbelievable rude, mean, ugly and unprofessional. She told me I woke her up granted it was a quarter to 11pm. When she finished checking me in she slammed my room cards on the counter walked away and slammed the door behind her. She didn’t even say thank you.

I liked the location. The Galveston Seawall is as crowded as expected during the summer. It was nice to drive about 10-15 minutes away from the chaos to wind down when we were ready for bed. There is a Target nearby so we could pick up anything we were missing. The hotel itself was average. The first attendant working at the counter was not very friendly but the woman who was there the next day was.

We picked this hotel because it was near the cruise port and offered hot breakfast. The only thing hit was waffles with the most horrible tasting syrup. They also had cereal and some pastries but no other hot food like eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. coffee was also terrible. very disappointing. Luckily there was a Shipleys right down the road so we had some kolaches for breakfast with some good coffee.

This hotel was way overpriced! We got to our room and the floor was not vacuumed and the bathroom floor was wet. The TV screen had a blue tint we could not get rid of. Breakfast Buffet? Get real! Waffle maker, cereal and stale rolls. Should change from buffet to little bite! Ramona was the rockstar and it’s obvious that she needs a raise! Without her we would have checked out! Thanks for all the hard wit you do Ramona.

My stay was very relaxing for the time i needed it. My room was clean and the hotel was quiet and peaceful. The only things i was a little disappointed in was the breakfast as there were no eggs nor sausage. Just waffles and bagles and juice. The fruits were even limited as it was just apples. Most places provide oranges and bananas. Also there were no tables outaide by the pool so my friends and i cam sit and play cards and enjoy the surrounding.

Hotel was just ok. Service was not good. There was a bell at the front desk and even when you rang it, it took a while for the guy to come out. But the worst was breakfast. The options were waffles. That’s it. Nothing else. It was awful.

While the overall stay was pleasant, BREAKFAST WAS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS!!! i have never experienced such a substandard breakfast!!!! The milk was set out on the counter and was room temperature. There was only 2 varities of kids cereal, stale pastries and bread. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP.
