Sleep Inn & Suites Galveston Island

check-in took forever and I had to listen to the hotel deliberately blaring music on the first floor. treadmill was broken in the 'fitness center' which was the only reason I chose the hotel over cheaper ones, and when I took the stairs back to my room there were men hanging out, drinking beer in the stairwell. When I stayed at this hotel a few years ago I thought it was a good deal but it must be under new management.

Not very clean no breakfast

Hello, I recently stayed and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. There was a strong odor in the hallway, which became even worse when the air conditioning was turned on. The blankets in the room appeared dirty and did not feel clean or fresh. Additionally, the website advertised breakfast, but no breakfast was available during my stay. The pool was also dirty and not properly maintained. To make matters worse, there was a homeless individual outside the property, which made me feel uncomfortable and concerned about safety. The room I was checked into had not been cleaned. The second room was missing several items (desk chair, new toilet paper, no hangers in closet, no luggage stand, remote control missing back of unit). When I went to the front desk to let them know about these things, the person did nothing to deal with any of these issues. I also sent an email directly to the hotel listing these issues and requested a refund. To date, I have not received a response. Very poor customer service so will not be going back and would not recommend!
