this is a beautiful property. Stunning actually. so many bars and restaurants that there is no need to leave. The pool is fabulous and the gym quite good. the rooms are lovely. This hotel is a treat

What an amazing property. It was a privilege to stay here and experience the history of Panama with tge three buildings of French, Spanish and American architecture. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and a fun rooftop bar with Capella.

Recommend that all tours and events be booked a month in advance. It was a little hard to connect with someone to book the culinary and Neri Market tour with the chef. The rooms are exquisite and high end and the decor all the way through the hotel was well appointed. I recommend the king suite in the Spanish section facing the courtyard. The 1739 wine and dinner pairing was exceptional. Highly recommend. Make sure you spend time at the pool during midday and the drinks at night on the roof top with DJ. Thanks to Brian at the front desk for setting us up with right room and thanks to Isabely’s and Ericka for the wine and pairing suggestions. The front desk was awesome with accommodations. This was a very pleasant stay can’t wait to go back.

This is a beautiful hotel in Casco Viejo. The hotel has three wings with different styles: Spanish, French and American wings. We stayed in a suite in the Spanish wing and it was a truly beautiful room; large, well designed and very nicely decorated. There are several excellent restaurants and a rooftop bar. There is also a small boutique-style shop with very nice clothing, jewelry, leather bags and other items. Excellent experience all around; highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in Casco Viejo.

Do not book another stay-this is the BEST. We want to come back to Panama just to stay at this hotel-I don’t even want to call it a hotel because it’s basically a resort in the Old Town. It is a living museum and that is amazing-you won’t believe it until you see it. The staff-amazing. The restaurants-OMG. The rooftop pool area-we stayed up there every afternoon when it gets pretty warm and the service was great. Poolside bar and food available all day. I have recently stayed at a Four Seasons and both my husband and I said this was absolutely nicer in every area. Make sure you eat on the restaurants-they are SO good. I will definitely be back!

The designs of the lobby, the rooms, the restaurants are inspiring, relaxing, and amazingly well done. We loved the sunset views from the small pool deck. The room was luxurious, and the food was tasty and had a good combination of high-end Western food with Panamanian favorites.

My stay was very nice. The hotel had many in house restaurants, bars, a spa and gym. All of the employees were very nice and helpful. Not speaking Spanish was somewhat of a challenge, but the employees went out of their way to bring someone in that did speak English, but most did some English.

This is a very special and unique place, and we feel so fortunate to have stayed here. It is well worth watching the interview with the owner that is available on the TV which we found oriented us to the history and the love and attention to historical details. There were many wonderful interesting touches throughout the property--from the information about the Scottish connection, to the photo of US politician who had a clever way of persuading his colleagues in Congress that Nicaragua was a poor choice for a canal. We felt the restaurants were gorgeous and loved to dine in them. We had a room that faced the courtyard, which was very quiet. The staff was so friendly, really exceptional in many ways. Don't miss out on visiting the sister restaurant --the Villa Anna across the park for the complimentary drinks--it is fabulous too. I just have several minor issues: Our room had a strong musty smell, though it was very clean. Also I would have appreciated a full length mirror. The food was at times excellent but inconsistent. Good luck with the new venture in the mountains, we would love to visit! All in all a very memorable and wonderful experience. Thank you.

The room was spotless and so custom i felt like i was in a magazine. Choice of restaurants in house was fantastic and the food was super high quality. We loved the courtyard and the specialty handmade chocolate in our room.

What a beautiful property! One thing I wish I knew before booking, if you get booked in the American wing of the hotel, be advised that there is a church right next to the rooms, and the church bell goes off EVERY 15 minutes! I had to leave the hotel a couple days early since I couldn’t stand it anymore, so make sure to call ahead and ask to stay out of the American wing. Other than that, this is property definitely has a wow factor. One last thing if you happen to go party and meet a nice person and think you’re going to bring them back to your room, think again! Not going to happen here! The only people allowed in your room are the people you registered with at check in. Ok bye ✌️

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The property has been beautifully restored and redesigned—it's a real treat just wandering through the different wings, checking out the unique restaurants and admiring all the little decorative touches in the hallways and corners. Huge shoutout to the staff—everyone we encountered was genuinely kind and super helpful. We stayed in the French wing and had a lovely view of the courtyard. The room itself was beautifully styled, though on the smaller side. One thing to note: the bed that was advertised as a king turned out to be a queen, and there really wasn’t much space to move around it—you had to be careful not to bump into things. Seating was limited too, just one comfy chair and a desk chair, with no sofa or extra spot to relax. And with only enough room for one suitcase, managing our two bags got a little frustrating. After the first night, we thought about upgrading to a suite. But when we checked it out, it had a similar setup—still a queen bed, one comfy chair, and only space for one suitcase. The room was a bit bigger, but not $200-a-night-bigger for us, so we decided to stick with what we had. If you're traveling light, this place could be perfect. But if you’re bringing more than one bag or like a little extra room to spread out, it might not be the most convenient stay—you'll find yourself constantly moving things around. Everything about this wonderful hotel was incredible. The staff were, friendly, helpful and professional. The restaurants were amazing, the views from our room, the pool and rooftop bar were truly breathtaking! We can’t wait to visit again! Highly recommend this hotel!

La Compania is truly special. The service is friendly and cheerful. The restaurants and bar provide high quality options that are creative and beautifully presented. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are lovely. Check-in was easy. There was a lovely note welcoming us with pertinent information. A stay at La Compania is a delight and I can’t wait to return!

Definitivamente la penitencia de Semana Santa fue estar en el hotel la compañía, no son correctos en sus cobros, se llenan de falsas explicaciones y resulta que el cliente es el culpable. Servicio a la habitación pésimo, dos días si. Que te limpien el cuarto, pides hielo y no te lo tren. Niegan puestos en el Restaurante Santuario “porque hay que Reservar” cuando el restaurante está vacío y uno con visitantes llevándolo al hotel a comer qué pena pasamos, en el restaurante de la piscina no te dejan llevar las visitas “ya que te lo quita él seguridad” tuve que rogar alimentos a la habitación. Usan tu tarjeta de crédito sin tu autorización para realizar según ellos “cargos habituales sin avisar”, te cobran la habitación el primer día, resulta que es más dinero del que se te habla el primer día. Les recomiendo si van, sean claros en su cuentas con este hotel. Parece una historia inventada pero creo que solo yo la viví. Recommend that all tours and events be booked a month in advance. It was a little hard to connect with someone to book the culinary and Neri Market tour with the chef. The rooms are exquisite and high end and the decor all the way through the hotel was well appointed. I recommend the king suite in the Spanish section facing the courtyard. The 1739 wine and dinner pairing was exceptional. Highly recommend. Make sure you spend time at the pool during midday and the drinks at night on the roof top with DJ. Thanks to Brian at the front desk for setting us up with right room and thanks to Isabely’s and Ericka for the wine and pairing suggestions. The front desk was awesome with accommodations. This was a very pleasant stay can’t wait to go back.

Probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in and we’ve been around. Exquisite service and every single detail in the renovated historical buildings are made to perfection. Everyone was extremely friendly and keen about providing us a perfect stay. I will have to emphasize the manager Bruno as well as the owner Chris as people with an almost scary sense of providing an experience beyond expectation. There’s no doubt that we will be back to Panama City and there’s no doubt that La Compañía is and always will be our hotel.

This is a very special and unique place, and we feel so fortunate to have stayed here. It is well worth watching the interview with the owner that is available on the TV which we found oriented us to the history and the love and attention to historical details. There were many wonderful interesting touches throughout the property--from the information about the Scottish connection, to the photo of US politician who had a clever way of persuading his colleagues in Congress that Nicaragua was a poor choice for a canal. We felt the restaurants were gorgeous and loved to dine in them. We had a room that faced the courtyard, which was very quiet. The staff was so friendly, really exceptional in many ways. Don't miss out on visiting the sister restaurant --the Villa Anna across the park for the complimentary drinks--it is fabulous too. I just have several minor issues: Our room had a strong musty smell, though it was very clean. Also I would have appreciated a full length mirror. The food was at times excellent but inconsistent. Good luck with the new venture in the mountains, we would love to visit! All in all a very memorable and wonderful experience. Thank you.

My stay was very nice. The hotel had many in house restaurants, bars, a spa and gym. All of the employees were very nice and helpful. Not speaking Spanish was somewhat of a challenge, but the employees went out of their way to bring someone in that did speak English, but most did some English.

The property was in well mantained and clean. The Hotel staff was very helpful and curteous. The room was clean, and had complementary water bottles, coffee, and tea. The balcony has a nice view of a near by park with a table and chairs to sit enjoy. My Hotel tour guide Ellias was very knowledegable, kind, and curteous. Breakfast was buffette style with lots of choices and was delicious. There are five restaurants you can choose to dine, top floor pool, and bar, exercise room, and event a cellar with about 2000 vines. Great experiance, would definately be back!
