We stayed here so that we could attend a concert at the new Coop Arena and it was so easy to navigate Manchester’s tram network from here. Parking was plentiful and the walking distance to the tram stop was easy, even in heels 👠 The breakfast offer was good and staff were friendly and helpful. An ideal place to stay for a night out in Manchester 👍 There’s no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms but the coffee machines (including syrups, hot chocolates, fresh milk etc.) are free to use as much as you like in reception!

A great place to stay. The staff were first rate, the rooms were clean with good bedding and the kitchen and bar stays open till midnight! The location is a little way out of the city centre but there is a tram station only a few hundred metres away. What more could you want.

From arrival the parking was very easy and convenient. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the rooms very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a drink in the bar (shame the pool table was out of service but a minor problem!) and breakfast had a great range to choose from. I had a enquiry and Zee at the reception was very helpful. A very comfortable stay and we will hopefully be back next time we come to Manchester.

Retail park nearby with some fast food options. Walkable but better options are further out closer to town. Great place to stay for access to the Etihad or Coop Live arena (assuming you have a car). Breakfast had plenty of options but if they bacon/eggs have been sat there a while then they go rubbery so not good! Place was very bright and staff welcoming. Sport available on the big screen with pool table available. Free drink if you skip room cleaning which was a nice touch.

Nice hotel, small room, had to pay for the electric car charging, which was not clear at the ime of booking, it's free if you book direct. A little annoyed by this. Added £34 to my room, would have been cheaper booking direct.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A very friendly feel. Easy parking. Clean and comfortable room with a good shower. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room but free fresh coffee and a tea selection were available 24/7 in the lounge area.

Our stay at the Niu Loom was great. The staff are very friendly and happy to help and the cleanliness is spot on. Nice selection of food at breakfast and the hotel room itself was lovely, spacious and again, very clean. Our only issue was the noise in the night, people coming back to the hotel and what sounded like the door opening and closing downstairs. However, our room was right above the door so that could be why. The tram stop was very close but we drove around mainly and everything was close enough. Thank you for having us, we really enjoyed our stay! :) Katie and Jamal

We had a great stay at the Nui Loom - staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and tidy. Only criticism is that the shower door leaked and our room was cleaned once during our 3 night stay. Close to transport links into city centre and parking availability is certainly a positive too

Good points: I did actually get a decent night's sleep. Bed was comfy enough. Bad points: While it's walking distance from the city centre I certainly wouldn't recommend walking. It's in the middle of a ropey council estate. Blackout curtains aren't great so gets pretty light in the morning. Same with soundproofing and is on a busy road so can hear cars passing throughout the night. Shower keeps cutting out and bursting back into life and alternates between red hot and freezing cold. HUGE toenail on the carpet that I didn't order.

We booked this hotel as the reviews were good however there were numerous issues upon arriving at our room. The towels in the bathroom were folded up and as I had a shower I unfolded them. What dropped out of one was a Viagra jelly packet. Clearly the cleaners hadn’t looked or changed the towels. The shower temperature was great to start however it started to heat up to scolding every 30 seconds. We told reception and received a free drink for Viagra-gate and was told an engineer would check the shower. Upon return, after a concert at midnight when we checked, the lad on reception could not confirm if the shower had been looked at. He suggested we move however at gone 12am this was not an option as we wanted to go to bed. I don’t think this hotel is worth the money as it’s not cheap per night, although the staff tried their best.

The room floor is completely carpeted and with that any spots left by previous guests will make you company during your stay. The shower box sealant is probably old because we had water on the floor after every single usage. Lastly, there’s no direct entrance from the street. You will go through a gate first, past an Irish centre, the hotel’s parking lot and finally you reach the hotel entrance. Not great for pedestrians.

Two night weekend stay. Hotel very clean and staff very friendly. Room was spotless and lovely ensuite. Only thing missing from room was tea making facilities which we were aware of before booking and there was free tea & coffee from machine in bar. Breakfast was lovely with variety of cereal, porridge, fruit juices, fruit, yogurt, granola, toast, croissant's & pastries. There was minimal hot items but there was sausages, scrambled egg & baked beans so enough for everyone to find something they liked plus you could have as much as you wanted. Tram stop only a few minutes walk away and one stop to Victoria in central Manchester. We walked in the first day which was around a 45 min walk. We purchased a weekend ticket for metro which was valid for all zones from 1800hrs Friday night until last tram Sunday which cost £6.80 so good value. We didn’t want to stay right in city centre and this was just far enough outside. If you’re looking for clean and simple you couldn’t go far wrong here.

Room was clean and comfortable. The rest of the Hotel was Okay - nothing special (including the breakfast). The lack of a tea/coffee facility in each room is poor - having to go down to the ground level for a hot drink (admittedly available 24 hours) is not acceptable for the price you pay to stay at this establishment. Other guests were extremely noisy until 3 am, speaking loudly and slamming room doors.

A lovely quirky hotel, but sadly let down by a few things. To start with when I got to my room it felt like a furnace and the heating/aircon control was locked. I had to get someone from reception to unlock it so I could cool the room, only for it to lock again, meaning that by the morning it was freezing. The shower seemed to have two settings: off, or so unbelievably scolding hot it could hard boil an egg in three minutes. Ended up washing over the sink as I had a wet room. The hotel also has this strange policy of only using single duvets, even with double beds, so there's no hogging the duvet. As a larger built person I was glad I noticed this in an email as I bought my own double duvet from home. All in all I really wanted to love this hotel as all the other facilities were great, but I can't say I did for the reasons above, and probably wouldn't stay there again.

£152 AND NOTHING! Not even a glass in the room. No kettle. No teabags. No coffee. No snacks at all. NOTHING! NADA! I asked why and they said some customers prefer having to leave their room and come downstairs and get a complementary tea or coffee from reception!! I imagine some customers also like cold showers. Perhaps they will dispense with the hot water too! And the room was cold and the heating control was broken. No heat. Room was very clean with decent TV and beds.

Good overall hotel, breakfast options best I have experienced in holiday inn but could be warmer. Downfall ls of the hotel is all rooms are too small including the bathroom and no tea making facilities in the room.

I had a wonderful stay at the Niu Loom Manchester . The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating from the moment I arrived. My room was perfect — comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. The location is great too, making it easy to get around the city. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

The cleanliness of the hotel and the staff in the hotel were so helpful, please pass onto your management the fact that Duncan who greeted us on reception was exceptional and went above and beyond helpful , It was the night of Keane Concert at coop and he was unflustered, so helpful and gave everyone so much info on how to get there and get back , nothing was too much trouble at all, a credit to the company

Another great stay at this hotel. Our go to hotel when visiting either Co-op Live or AO arena. Friendly staff. Can’t do enough to help and the lovely receptionist even remembers us now !! Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Thank you again till next time.

The Property, staff and amenities were perfectly fine. However on booking in, there was a payment notice on the computer asking for payment which had already credited too Expedia on booking the accommodation. I had too show proof of payment, before being allocated my room, which was a tad embarrassing as there were 4 other customers stood waiting and witnessing this. Things didn’t improve at checkout as the receptionist had a ‘halt checkout and said sting payment was required before I could checkout. The Staff on both booking in and out said it was an issue with Expedia and I shall not be using the site again for any future services.

The hotel is relatively new and the rooms nicely furnished with good bathrooms. The area the hotel is in isnt great and not in the city centre, although the metro stop isnt too far away. Ive marked it down because the few times i have stayed there for business (mid week) there have been loud drunk people also staying there. They need to get rid of the benches outside the hotel and right underneath the windows of most of the bedrooms as this is the smoking area where they congregate making it difficult to sleep. Both times i was woke up around 4am by large groups smoking and drinking on the benches. No idea if they were guests but there isnt much else round there. They were still there very very drunk when i left at 7am. First time I assumed a one off. Now its happened often enough that i wont use the hotel again.

We would definitely stay here again on a trip to Manchester. The hotel is lovely, and a great deal. Its outside the city centre, but only a 2 minute walk to the tram station, where we didnt have to wait more than 5 minutes and from there its only one stop into Victoria! Ideal

This is our go to hotel when we visit Manchester. Even before IHG took over. The staff are excellent and the breakfast was brilliant. What I don’t like is this now two tier service that’s been adopted. The privileges given to IHG members. I feel it’s just a data collection initiative.

20min to cook chips when noone was dining.. got a refund in crisps and chocolate.The bed was rock solid took a while to get to sleep. Shower wash powerful, body gel was good. Breakfast was yummy!

Staff friendly and efficient, room was perfect for a one night stay, although no kettle in room had complimentary tea and coffee from a machine nearby, which was freshly brewed. Quiet room, black out curtains and good temperature. Good selection of choice at breakfast, but the only disappointing part of the stay was the hot breakfast selection which was poor quality products. Despite this would stay again and have continental breakfast instead.

The hotel is modern and well maintained; the rooms are clean and provide all necessities - though no luxuries. The rooms specifically for disabled guests are well thought out, with bathrooms that have excellent facilities for wheelchairs. The dinner menu is rather short (though better than when we stayed last year); breakfasts are good but not exceptional - the cold buffet is fine, but the cooked food again rather basic: bacon, sausage, beans, hash browns and scrambled eggs, but no mushrooms, tomatoes or black pudding. The noise from the vertical boards on the outside banging with the wind was terrible all night and it was almost all rooms. The breakfast was poor, soft hashbrowns, poor sausages and hard scrambled egg.
