I'm a simple person that really was just looking for somewhere to sleep & recharge after my day. The parking for this location is awkward & limited. There was never a member of staff at the front desk when I needed to ask a question. I had to move rooms twice; my first room had no electric in half the room while my second room ended up with no working microwave, the fridge was off when I got tere (which I did not know at the time, so an entire dinner was ruined because I put my leftovers into the fridge), and there was a leak in the bathroom. My third room was fine; i had no silverware in the kitchenette, the fan/vent in the shower area didn't work, a light at the vanity flickered terribly, & there was no silverware in the kitchenette (again). There was weird damage in the rooms (the wallpaper near the toilet was brown & discolored) and the showers were (oddly) devoid of any useful ledges or shelves upon which to place my 3 cleaning items (shampoo, body soap, & body lotion). The cleaning staff did a poor job cleaning the room; essentially, they messed with the bedding, took towels & only replaced half of them, left every single light on in the room, & took the trash (including trash bags but never replaced those). I had to ask for additional towels and additional trash bags to place into my trash cans. Honestly, the worst part about the room changes is that not one member of staff seemed to care that I had to move everything to another room nor did they offer recompense.

Heres the deal. The hotel is nice, really has potential to be great. Our room wasnt very clean, we only had 2 towels for 6 guests. No sheets for the pull out sofa, and the floor was super sticky. The young man that was working was very nice and did help get us towels and cleaned the floor but the room should be stocked and ready for the guests losted on the reservation. The pool was cloidy and green so we didnt get to use that even though that was a big part of why we booked. And then bfast was supposed to go until 9:30am but thwy started tearing it down at 9am. A couple of guests walked down and seen the half bar and left. The beds were some of the worst. There were a couple points i did like, decor was nice, room set up was great, shower worked well and drained and they had 2 rolls of tp open. None extra tho. Ultimately ifthe management was better, this hotel could be great.

I was assigned a room that had not been cleaned. The ice bucket was on the floor by the toilet. There was a used bar of soap and rage on the sink. There were old access keys left in the room. There were empty plastic wrappers on the sink in the kitchen and the bed was not properly made with all the pillows on one bed. You have asphalt issues in your parking lot that takes away from the decor has you approach the front entrance of the bldg. The staff did not even seem concerned about the room issue. I will not be staying again. I'm sure I can get my 150-180 dollars a night to go a lot further at another chain.

For the price of this hotel I expected a lot more. The breakfast only had old apples as far as fruit so that was disappointing. We booked this hotel for the pool and it was out of order so we walked to a chain hotel where the pool size was a joke. I will never stay here again and I would never refer this hotel to anyone.

Upon arrival was greeted pleasantly by front desk and area looks clean and nice. Got keys and were told pool was down after that was the main reason Mer chose this hotel and had called vegire booking to be sure it was up and running based on reviews. SO mad for the children!! Our room looked big and nice at first glance but smelled of smoke. We booked nonsmoking. The floors were sticky dirty withy visible dirt along kitchen baseboards that could easily be cleaned. Dishes is duseasher had rice and food on them. Pull out couch had a stain and a leftover Kleenex and Gatorade lid.

Staff was extremely friendly! If we needed anything,it was never a problem getting it for us. The kids of course enjoyed the pool, and we happened to there Easter weekend and they nad an Easter bunny there to give out baskets to the kids and take pictures with them! It was a great weekend and we will visit again!

Short drive to MSU’s campus. Short walking distance to shopping and restaurants in Eastwood. Excellent night’s sleep in a comfortable bed. Front desk staff warm and welcoming. Best value during football season with an indoor swimming pool.

I have photos of what shape the hotel room was in. The fold out couch bed sheets were not changed and when we pulled it out the following came with it... a pop can scissors 3 candy bar wrappers and a light bulb. overall we did not think our room was clean at all! We will not be going back!

Worst than you think It was my wedding in lansing Michigan so all of my families came around usa and we booked this hotel to he together but when we check in the hotel was dirty. Appliances were not working. The rooms smells bad and the beds were dirty. The room ac were making noise and in some rooms the ac were leaking water. This time we made a mistake and booked hotel for all families with just looking. At the pictures i am requesting hilton management to please when you charge people that much please give them a good service i had to wast my perfume so the room can smell good. The bathroom floor was sticky and dirty the toilet was making noise after flushing this is not just for my room every room had an issue and we have to call the front desk to come and turn on the microwave fuse for use from fuse box. Don’t book your rooms here before asking someone and reading this review. I stayed there for 4 nights and i had to stay because of other families but what i am saying we paid thousands to have a bad experience and we booked hilton cuz we trusted it but now no never

didn't like to have to re clean my room upon arrival...the room was nice, but too dusty...and white cleaning residue was left all over everything they touched with their towel.. so I have to "re-clean" what was so obvious to anyone with eyes...

Overall, it was a good experience, the room was spacious, but the carpet was filthy, so much so, that the bottom of our feet were literally black if barefoot. The staff were wonderful. The water pressure in first room we were in was very low in both the kitchen and bathroom, and the toilet ran constantly. We were switched to a different room, which was much better, although the carpet was still dirty. Again, overall it was fine.

First, they downgraded my room and wouldn't give me any money back for the downgrade, then there was a bloody towel in the bottom drawer of the dresser when we were there and then our box spring was completely broken and fell in. When I tried to sit on it. Then our toilet decided to stop flushing. Also all behind the toilet. The wall was completely discolored like there'd been some kind of accident or something. There were water bottles behind the bed. It was absolutely disgusting and I was offered nothing for compensation for it and all the rooms were booked so we couldn't switch. It was god-awful.

The pool was green, I would say the breakfast was not very impressive. The bed was dirty we couldn’t find the blind to pull down so therefore it was like sleeping in the parking lot. The lights were so bright through the window. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes that we had no clean dishes. I felt like the maid they had to continue to go down to the desk to get towels, etc.. Now for the good! The girls seem to work hard at the desk and we’re very nice, however, we left with 2 credit card bills showing 70 some dollars each when she said it would only be $72 as a whole due to all the trouble why I walked away from the desk leaving it that way I’ll never know it irritates me at this point. I’m hoping Julie will take care of the situation and make the necessary credit card changes. We shall see. The coffee was good I thank you for that.

My suite King room AC was leaking, the carpet was wet, that caused odor, room carpet was not fully vacuumed, WI-FI was not working, staff were friendly, during my 4th day stay house keeping only came once upon request, laundry room was in poor condition, pool water condition was not clean.

If they tell you the hotel is full booked and after arriving early, the room is no ready yet stay at lobby or you could end with wherever room they had for the staff or so, is the only explanation to get a room without proper curtains just a piece of fabric, so the lights out don’t let you sleep all night. Lesson learned.

The staff was incredibly helpful in resolving issues we had (a few outlets were out and we managed to obtain an early check-in). The TV didn’t work and I was a little bummed by that but the premises was clean and orderly, I’d recommend this hotel.

Room was very rundown. Peeling wallpaper. Ironically, had same exact room as 4 months ago & tape used for decorations of some sort then by someone else was still on the wall!! Blind broke & fell down in Bedroom at 2am & I had to sleep with the parking lot light shining in my face. Family of 4 & only 2 bath towels in the room, so had to request more multiple times.

The room was so roomy! It had a full size refrigerator, and small kitchenette. An office area, a living area and a king size bed. The best shower I've ever had.

Receptionist was anything but friendly, definite lack of professionalism. Zero eye contact, no friendly greeting ( barely a greeting) . Didn't state what room we were in or even direct us to the elevator. Not a big deal because we can read, but I would think that the person that checks in customers would be friendly at minimum. Homewood is a nice hotel and could do a better job finding a better personality to greet customers. She didn't address the amenities only breakfast time. Check in was fast and easy. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was lacking and Under prepared for the number people staying the night. Ran out of several selections 90 minutes for breakfast ended. Would probably not stay with Homewood again.

Everything about the hotel stay was excellent! I do not normally give excellent ratings in all areas but this hotel and staff from the front desk worker to the janitor to the breakfast staff everything and everyone was excellent. They deserve a 10 plus score.

I asked for an early check and arrived earlier than expected, and I was still able to check in. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The hotel always smelt clean and sanitized. This is definitely a hotel I plan on staying in the future

For a newer hotel, property wasn’t cleaned and maintained. The front desk staff, Chloe, wasn’t helpful. She said the terminal took apple pay, which it did not. I went out to get my card for her to process and she said “he’s gonna have to finish you up”, when I moved over to have her co-worker help me check in, he was confused and didn’t know where she left off. Poor managing, poor communication. I’ve stayed at many hotels around Lansing and never had an issue like this anywhere else. I will not be returning.

I was in town for a performance at the Wharton Center in East Lansing The hotel was a short, relatively easy drive away. Very nice property. Clean. Easy access from the Highway. I would stay here again.

A basic stay, didnt like the remnants pet hair and smell in the room. One of the reasons we like Homewood Suites is for the breakfast included, however the kitchenette area was under construction so the breakfast really sucked.

AC didn’t work properly, couldn’t sleep well for being the room so hot. Don’t use the kitchen but dishwasher was falling apart and paper towel left was minimal. Room is set for 6 but needed to ask for towels and sheets as we booked 5 and was only set for 2. Breakfast menu and quality of food was one star.

We have a large family and we have repeatedly chosen to stay in a one bedroom suite here as it is the most comfortable with the most room in comparison to other hotels in the area from our experience. Also we love the location. We love the service there and the rooms. The cost is typically affordable too. Usually we enjoy breakfast at the hotel but this last time everything was cold and not much variety. Staff was also just in the kitchen not coming out to check or replensish anything so we were out of the staples like milk, cream cheese, hot water. That aside we will continue to stay here and hope these things get worked out.

This hotel was ok. The pool was under repair. I think the hotel has a management problem. Housekeeping was so so. The breakfast ran out of food and wasn't replaced. The dishwasher was full with dishes.
