I reserved a room with full bathroom and turned out to be half bathroom with no toilet. The website says free parking at it was a lied. No parking space period. I got 3 parking tickets. I was put on the 3rd floor with no elevator. One time no toilet paper in the hallway toilet.

It should be STRONGLY pointed out that this is a Victorian Hotel, not a modern hotel. It has shared toilets and showers and EVERYTHING from the narrow winding staircase up to the 3rd floor to the heating system, is 150 years old. Now, I loved this but lots of people would find it horribly barbaric.

This place is terrible. No A/C. No screens in the windows. Smells like a chain smoker lives there. You have to buzz in every time you enter the building and hope the guys is awake. No parking, none at all. The ceiling fan had 2 out of 3 lights burnt out. You can’t have the fan on and lights off. Outlets are only 2 prong without a ground. If you try and get a refund, the wont answer the phone when Expedia calls them.

Most rooms do not have private restroom. You have to pay an extra $10 to get a room with one. They advertise free parking, by that they meant public parking in the streets. Place was cold, no TV, rooms very tiny, and you have to ring bell for someone to let you in (if someone's in the office near the door). No breakfast, and besides check out is at 11 am, not 12 pm. I know it's a budget hotel, but for $73 for a night, it is not necessarily the cheapest budget hotel someone can stay in.

Didn't look the same as seen on commercial online. The pictures shows the big building in the area but not the actual building. Very poor condition, bad odour inside, smoking odours. It says parking lot available but in actual fact, there is no parking space for the building, only the street parking for pay. No air conditioning. I would not recommend this property.

You get what you pay for, and I fully expected it when I booked. It was a very old building, with old interior, old outlets, etc. The whole floor shares one shower stall and one toilet. It is alright for a one-night sleep-over, but I wouldn't use it for family vacation. Small room, no TV, no towels. Convenient and close to alll amenities though.

The man who checked us in was very friendly! That and the fact the bed was comfortable and clean were the only redeeming things about this place. The price is EXACTLY what you pay for. The rooms are old, dilapidated and have questionable appliances. Despite the no smoking, our room reeked of cigarettes (there was one left half smoked on the window sill and a pile of ash over the radiator.) There were used condoms in the trash from the previous occupant. The only housekeeping this hotel does is changing the bed sheets. All that to say, it is incredibly close to the Berri-UQAM metro station and there is a super cool punk dive bar in the basement. So if you’re looking for a place to keep your things while you run around the city, it’s perfect. They do actually have 24/7 concierge so you can freely come and go. Great for a weekend out on the town, I would avoid looking at anything too closely in the daylight. No bedbugs or cockroaches though. TLDR: Great doorman; old, dirty rooms; very few amenities but safe enough once you’re inside.

Je ne recommande pas du tout. Ils ont refusé de me rembourser 4 nuits après avoir quitté au bout de la première nuit. Le personnel était plutôt gentil mais on sentait de la cigarette partout. J'étais mal à l'aise avec mon fils et ma femme.

Nice little building in an amazing location (right next to berri-UQAM metro station). the only issue i had during my stay was that there was no air conditioning, and i was there on a 30° weekend so it was nearly unbearable temperature-wise

The room was very small. It had a smell inside the whole apartment. Not a great stay to enjoy. Morning staff was not very friendly. The fan was not working, it was so hot inside the room. Very very small bathroom, so so so tiny.

Everything was absolutely terrible. Bed mattress was the worst I’ve seen in years, extremely noisy. Paint falling off the walls and no AC was offered when the temperature was nearing 30 degrees in our room. Wouldn’t even dare to pay 50$ for a night, let alone 162$…

It was not too bad. The room was comfortable, the shared bathroom was clean but the sink was in my room so I had to leave the bathroom and go back to my room before I could wash my hands. The ceiling fan made it comfortable because it was very hot outside. The staff were very courteous and carried my luggage when I arrived, and they always treated me well. Most of them knew English. There were electric bikes for rent just across the street and there were lots of coffee shops and other businesses close by. There was also 2 large catholic cathedrals within walking distance, and the catacombs as well. It were affordable, which was especially important seeing as how I was stranded there because of the Air Canada strike. The only thing I really didn’t like was that there was no coffee or tea available. There was also no Bible left in the night table. I thought that every hotel was supposed to have one, but apparently I was wrong.

We tried calling the number and no answer. We ended up leaving, and I tried contacting Expedia. The owner/attendant said they were there the whole time and they did not recieve any messages. I booked a 2-night stay and called to confirm that I would be checking in late. I was told that late check-in could not be accommodated, but that I could check in the following morning. When I showed up the following morning i was told that my room had been rebooked and that I would have to check in after 4pm after my room was cleaned, even though my card was charged for a 2 night stay through Expedia. The employee working the desk was hostile and appeared to be quite inconvenienced by my attempts to check in. I ultimately had to book a room for the night at another hotel, because I did not feel safe returning there or dealing with the employee again. Expedia did not refund me.

Staff were very welcoming and polite! However, it did seem like there may have been smoking (?) occurring indoors, as it smelled very strongly of it when particular staff members were present. Overall was a lovely stay, but cleanliness can be very easily improve dramatically!

Parfait pour ceux qui arrivent par avion ou qui doivent aller prendre l'avion le lendemain vers une destination à l'extérieur du pays.

For the incredibly reasonable price, we got a warm room with clean beds, and 24hr front door service for security. Two min walk to the metro, short walk (even shorter subway trip) to Old Montreal, Chinatown, the ports.
For the incredibly reasonable price, we got a warm room with clean beds, and 24hr front door service for security. Two min walk to the metro, short walk (even shorter subway trip) to Old Montreal, Chinatown, the ports.

The staff were polite, but I did not like anything else about the place. It really was not a good setup.. Caution in strongly advised if going out after dark! Good luck.

You get what you pay for. Safe. Excellent location, right downtown. Parked the car 1 block from the hotel in an indoor parking ( At the library) for $16 a day. Will be back.

It was not too bad. The room was comfortable, the shared bathroom was clean but the sink was in my room so I had to leave the bathroom and go back to my room before I could wash my hands. The ceiling fan made it comfortable because it was very hot outside. The staff were very courteous and carried my luggage when I arrived, and they always treated me well. Most of them knew English. There were electric bikes for rent just across the street and there were lots of coffee shops and other businesses close by. There was also 2 large catholic cathedrals within walking distance, and the catacombs as well. It were affordable, which was especially important seeing as how I was stranded there because of the Air Canada strike. The only thing I really didn’t like was that there was no coffee or tea available. There was also no Bible left in the night table. I thought that every hotel was supposed to have one, but apparently I was wrong.

Most rooms do not have private restroom. You have to pay an extra $10 to get a room with one. They advertise free parking, by that they meant public parking in the streets. Place was cold, no TV, rooms very tiny, and you have to ring bell for someone to let you in (if someone's in the office near the door). No breakfast, and besides check out is at 11 am, not 12 pm. I know it's a budget hotel, but for $73 for a night, it is not necessarily the cheapest budget hotel someone can stay in.

Do not expect much from this hotel. Super expensive for what it is: Dated, weird smell, questionable maintenance and cleanliness. Better pay a little more for a cleaner room to stay. And there are no free parking as advertised, just street parking which are already taken.

This place has to be shoot down immediately. Is disgusting no AC, so sleeping w the windows open is the only option plus the noise outside at night. You need to be in good shape to get to the 3er floor. Be prepared to escalate a wall. 😆, and when leaving the premises remember to hold the entry door otherwise you will be pushed out by that door and you might fall other 5 steps to get to the ground 😉. No parking, staff is not very welcome, some of them rude. But the location is amazing, very very downtown 👌.
