Very old building from the outside but inside was very nice. Having to climb the 20 steps with a suitcase was not very pleasant. Overall very nice. Breakfast was as the same every morning.

À notre arrivée très bon accueil mais première surprise : le parking. On nous explique que c’est 40$ la nuit, on paie puis on nous montre le « parking ». En effet : une impasse fermée par un portail en palette de bois. On doit laisser nos clés à l’accueil puisque les voitures sont garés en enfilade. Deuxième surprise la chambre : on ne peut pas régler le chauffage (pas de télécommande dans la chambre), les toilettes ne sont pas bien fixés au sol et surtout : la porte de la chambre ne ferme pas et peut donc s’ouvrir sans pass. Heureusement le lendemain matin, quelqu’un nous a re-magnétisé la porte et elle fermait enfin. Petit déjeuner correct. Point positif de l’hôtel : très bien situé pour visiter Montréal !

Staff was so friendly, and the hotel was super sweet. My room was great, though I couldn't find the remote to the TV... but nonetheless! Was perfect for the time I was there. The only complaint I have is that the stairs to get into the hotel are classic Montreal and a tad steep. We got quite a lot of snow while I was visiting and the steps weren't shoveled very well. So walking up and down was a bit cumbersome and worrying.

The rooms were nice, but the hotel itself is in an old building that is slightly tilted making every different flight as well as the interior of the rooms uneven. While it is in a great location, the staff were pretty rude to our group on arrival, ordering us to sit down to make room instead of simply inviting us to do so to. I understand it is to make sure others can pass along the narrow entrance but there is a right and wrong way to say it. Also the hotel parking is VERY small, located in an alley right behind it, while it does the job, it is very strange how you have to give the hotel staff your car keys. And while you think only the staff would handle them, nope! I was given the car keys of someone else's vehicule to bring to the staff member downstairs waiting at the parking, instead of them doing it themself, I could technically simply have made of with somebody's car keys.

Quaint hotel with a 1920's vibe. It was very quiet and clean, and Sami, the manager, went out of his way to help me. Parking is available for an extra $40. The only drawback would be for those for whom stairs pose problems. Excellent location.

The hotel is quite old building, the rooms were clean. I beileve staying here will be better in spring or summer. In winter the rooms are cold, restaurant was cold, everywhere was very cold. Many people were having breakfast with coats on. And there is no parking at all.

Tiny room for value. AC worked well. Property/room needs work / is old and doesn't look well-kept. Had a couple of flies in our room and also saw a cockroach scurry across the carpet, felt pretty disgusting. Luckily we didn't get any bed bugs!

One of the worst and unclean. 0 service at our stay 0 cleaning. Tiles lose on the floors and walls. Black mould and 30 min to get hot water. I am sure this isn't going to matter but I book 15-20 rooms a year off hotels.com and I've never givin a review. It was so bad we left and booked a room at another hotel . It's crazy I've stayed at hostels in Thailand cleaner.

The hotel charged $40 to park in a small alleyway and insisted on taking my car keys even though we were the first car in the very narrow space so there was no need for them to keep the key. Also, there was a cockroach in the bathroom sink and the bed didn't have a top sheet, so there was nothing in between us and the comforter, which probably isn't washed after every guest stay. This was unacceptably disgusting.

A filthy 5ft x 5ft room and 2ft x 2ft bathroom, with a noisy AC; Breakfast room located in the Basement, desperate for some repair and cleaning (you can write your name on the dust on the table!) - and all of this for a CAD 200, during the week.

The hotel was old, but beautiful. However, the room I was given looked nothing like the pictures when you make a reservation. The floor was carpeted, with old curtains and a clogged bathroom sink. I woke up at 2:30 AM because of the noise in other rooms and I immediately saw 5 or 6 bed bugs crawling around me!! They put me in another room that was way newer (and refunded me) and it was fine, but I have around 20 bug stings and still itching like hell after a week. I would not recommend the hotel.

Yes, I booked the smallest room for 2 travelers, but the room was too small compared to what I could see in the photos. Basically, you had to open the door and almost jump on your bed. Also, the hotel is old so do not expect an elevator. Otherwise, it was a good experience in the heart of Montreal. BF was good.

There are uphill stairs to the front entrance, it is very difficult to go up with luggage; AC is terrible noisy, I had to turn it off in order to get into sleep, but it was hot during the night, woke up couple times to turn it on and let the room being cold, turn it off...

It’s a quaint hotel but our room’s AC was broken, a bed light had no bulb and the tv remote did not work. We asked the night manager to help but he said he had no batteries for remote nor any lightbulbs. He also could not fix the AC. With the price of the room, you would think those items could have been fixed.

This hotel is in a great part of the city. The hotel is ok. Very small room, no decor, on third floor - lots of stairs. Breakfast was ok continental. Street parking was a concern due to the massive snowstorm.

Would not stay here. The AC was not working and we asked for a fan which we received on night 3/3. The front desk advised us we could receive a partial refund on night 2 and to inquire during checkout, but during checkout the management/staff repetitively cut me off, gaslit me saying the AC works (we put it on the fan setting to get any air moving in the very stuffy room), said he had no control over refunds and gave me the runaround with Expedia. Stay anywhere else!

Pros: The hotel is in a good location, <10 mins walk to metro station, and there are lots of restaurants around in 15 mins walk. The room's cleanliness is acceptable but not great - it's not the kind of faucets you wanna touch. Strong A/C. Cons: - The room is too small. Little space to place and open your luggage, I have to put it in the closet while my partner takes the luggage rack. Little to no space to keep any toiletries or even hang your clothes in the washroom. - The A/C is hard to adjust as there's no remote control and it's a bit too noisy if you don't adjust the setting. - The receptionist was calling me a couple times the morning before I check in because part of my payment didn't go through, which is quite annoying as I already told him I have several other credit cards that we could use, but he threatens to cancel my booking if it's not received before check in. I don't understand why we can't get that settled during check in given that part of the payment has already been through. When we arrived at the hotel door, we waited at least 5 mins before we were buzzed in and invited to the reception inside as the receptionist was on a phone call. Maybe it's a safety thing. But our first impression was not great. - it takes at least 3-5 minutes of wait before you get any hot water at the shower so please ensure you feel any warm water before taking off your clothes

The Staff, especially Sammy, was very friendly and attentive to my mother's needs and mine. He made our stay very Special!! The Hotel was clean inside and the breakfast was abundant! The bed was comfortable, but the bathroom and Shower were very small. Unfortunately, too many stairs for an older person and unkept property on the outside and especially on the back entrance.It can be very dangerous. In need of Maintenance. The Location is very convenient, close to Metro and Rue St.Denis. Good Value for Your Money,Only Too Many Stairs !!!

This place from the far go was an absolute never again. The 4th floor walk up was fine, really…but for an almost empty hotel while we were there it doesn’t make sense that the person at check in would think that was the best place to put us. Speaking of the person at the front desk…she was a total wet rag and was actually quite rude and abrupt giving us the bare minimum of information, basically only speaking when we dug for the information we needed. The room itself had no working air conditioning and the bed was pushed up against the wall so I had to climb over my husband to get out of bed to go to the bathroom, speaking of the bathroom…the toilet was recessed into a hole that only a child could fit in to and don’t even get me started on the shower stall…prison might have been a smidge more comfortable.

Super overrated. The hotel has “catfish” pictures of the rooms. The lady at the reception was the worst. She was super rude and unhelpful. I do NOT recommend this hotel. The guys working were nice but overall experience was just bad. There are definitely better options.

No parking, they say they have breakfast. They only have cheereos and it wasn’t ready either. They have 1 parking spot that wouldn’t fit a truck and I got a $90 parking ticket. The tv worked well. You have to sit sideways in the washroom.

L’accueil est agréable. La chambre est petite mais suffisante pour un court séjour ( pièce avec juste le lit et salle de bain). L’isolation est mauvaise, on entend chaque personne montée et descendre les escalier et circuler dans les couloir. Le petit déjeuner et très sommaire, peu de choix. A noter que le restaurant n’est pas ouvert. Attention, une grosse caution débitée est demander à l’arrivée et le remboursement est lancé le jour du départ.

La chambre etait très propre , les couvertures sentaient bonnes. Le personnel super gentil . L'ambiance etait tranquille et agréable. Le petit dejeuner est compris entre 7h30 et 10h00. C'etait excellent ! Petit café, croissant, style petit buffet . Je recommande. Le seule bémol je dirais c' est quil n' y a pas de parking . Il faut en trouver sur la rue .

Équipements minimalistes et très peu pratiques, clim extrêmement bruyante, salle de bain à l’avenant. Le petit déjeuner ne relève pas l’appréciation, bien au contraire. Seul point positif : le personnel, attentionné, professionnel et disponible. Ce sont eux qui « sauvent » l’établissement, que cependant il n’est pas possible de recommander tellement le rapport prestations / prix est défavorable.
