Room was large for city center. Good water pressure in the shower. Only two main elevators and one wasn’t working. They had a work around which wasn’t ideal but was fine. Parking situation is less than desirable.

Classy but not pretentious, it perfectly balances upscale amentities with a down to earth personality that is unique to Philadelphia. Historic hotel, but had modern upgrades. Very central location. Sad that the food court and shops were not open, but heard that they are working on bringing them back. The restaurant had great food and service.

This was my first stay at the Bellevue. It has been beautifully restored, both the public areas and the lodging rooms. I especially appreciated the Nespresso mini coffee maker and mini-fridge. The hotel is on the block to the north of the Academy of Music, so it was very convenient for my visit to the ballet. Disabled access is less than ideal, but I understand that they are building a ramp entrance near the front of the lobby. For now, you go to the back entrance and use a little lift to get into the back lobby. Several excellent restaurants within a block: Estia (Greek), Le Pain Quotidian, and Tuscany Cafe were my favorites.

The historic nature of the hotel was stunning and the surrounding buildings were also rich with history. Our hotel room was huge and clean, but it had a window that wierdly opened to nothing, smh... made the whole room feel bit dungeness and we were on the 12th floor! There's no room service and the advertised food court is no longer there. I have mixed feelings about recommending this hotel at the moment, but I'm willing to give it a second chance in hopes of a better experience. BTW, staff at the only restaurant in the hotel was really great!

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous! When we checked in, we were told there would be bottled water available in the room but that there were currently two only. Since we had a party of three, they apologized and stated they would bring a third bottle. They never did. Checking in was easy. Checking out was easy. Parking was easy. When you first enter, you have the option to choose how many nights you are staying. You pre-pay so that you have in and out privileges for the duration of your stay.

The Bellevue was excellent for our stay. The Sporting Club that’s available for hotel guests to use has everything you’d need in a health club and more. The hotel is quiet and located in walking distance to several shops and restaurants. Hotel staff was friendly and the XIX restaurant within the hotel was a delightful experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. It is beautiful inside, the complementary coffee on the 19th floor was appreciated and the restaurant and bar were fantastic. My only complaints were our room was not ready at 4:00 check in, the 1st day we received no cleaning service and the second day they took dirty towels, gave new towels but did not empty trash or make beds.
We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. It is beautiful inside, the complementary coffee on the 19th floor was appreciated and the restaurant and bar were fantastic. Easy parking with minimum walking distance to restaurants and tourist spots. Unfortunately the hotel is outdated and overpriced. Our room was not cleaned fully and the trash was full of someone elses dental floss, soaps and other items. For the price, we probably wouldnt stay again.

The Bellevue is a very unique experience due to the hotel's history. Pros: Very conveniently located in the heart of the city, unique architectural elements, lots of history. Cons: Very loud facing Broad Street throughout the night (ATVs, dirt bikes, slingshots, etc). We asked to move rooms and were told that they were sold out, however we saw very few other hotel guest during our stay. I know the noise is a City of Philadelphia problem, however, the hotel was not accommodating in helping the situation. Also, our room was only cleaned once during our 5 day stay.

This is a georgous place but as of yet it has almost no amenities. It needs another year or two. Also I was put in a room with no outside window. Make sure you ask about that when booking. I was in a big hurry or i woud have changed rooms.

Great historic hotel in downtown Philadelphia. The staff were excellent. The room was good for the age of the hotel. My one major complaint was the noise from outside. From 9pm throughout the night, dirt bikes and loud vehicles drive recklessly down the road echoing into the hotel. There is no noice insulation. This is a major problem and will keep people from visiting this city if things do not change.

The hotel is beautiful and luxurious, especially the lobby. The room was tastefully decorated and felt more like an old-world apartment with modern touches. The walk-in closet space was very large, the bathroom was spacious, including the shower area, and the room had adequate seating areas. The bed was comfortable. We were on a high floor, making it very quiet at night. The staff, especially the head of the bell staff, were not only friendly but very helpful. We were, however, disappointed in the breakfast service. It took 45 minutes to serve a simple order, and the staff seemed disorganized. A more extensive buffet offering would be a better option.

The hotel is beautiful. The beds are comfortable and rooms are quite large. We were in room 1726 that opens to courtyard which is wonderful but that and the placement and choice of light fixtures makes the room quite dark. It’s quite difficult to get ready (make up/shaving)

This is a beautifully renovated hotel. The room is large, uncomfortable, with the top and finishes. We were on the first floor, so unfortunately, we could feel the subway going by underneath. We went for the buffet breakfast this morning, the room was stunning and bright. However, the Food was not as bountiful as you would hope. Most of the dishes, run out quickly and took a while to be replaced. Service was very slow, although the staff were lovely.

The general staff were excellent. Management is TERRIBLE. We checked in on 6/15/23 to a Deluxe King room, pre paid through Expedia. The next morning water was pouring through the bathroom fan and the bedroom ceiling, NOT dripping, pouring. My shoes and backpack were wet. We were eventually moved to another room, NOT a comparable room. Not one single manager bothered to call us to make sure we were ok, was the other room satisfactory, were our things ok, etc. Two separate staff members told us a manager would call. Not one manager called. I wanted a refund for the difference between the Deluxe King room I prepaid for and the dark, "atrium" room we were moved to. Literally had to keep the lights on all day. The hotel told us to go to Expedia because we booked through them. I was on the phone for an hour with Expedia, who, after trying very hard, were told by the hotel that no refund would be given. Worst customer service from supposedly a 4.5 star hotel I've ever had - and we travel extensively, all over the country. Also, if anyone is thinking of staying here, the "general" restroom for hotel guests is on the 19th floor! The hotel is old and dated. It does look very grand from the outside, but is in serious need of an update. All of those things I would normally push aside, but water pouring through the ceiling and no management acknowledgement is unacceptable. We did get our cocktails on Thursday night taken off the bill. Doesn't compensate for terrible management.

The next morning water was pouring through the bathroom fan and the bedroom ceiling, NOT dripping, pouring. My shoes and backpack were wet. We were eventually moved to another room, NOT a comparable room. Not one single manager bothered to call us to make sure we were ok, was the other room satisfactory, were our things ok, etc. Two separate staff members told us a manager would call. Not one manager called. I wanted a refund for the difference between the Deluxe King room I prepaid for and the dark, "atrium" room we were moved to. Literally had to keep the lights on all day. The hotel told us to go to Expedia because we booked through them. I was on the phone for an hour with Expedia, who, after trying very hard, were told by the hotel that no refund would be given. Worst customer service from supposedly a 4.5 star hotel I've ever had - and we travel extensively, all over the country. Also, if anyone is thinking of staying here, the "general" restroom for hotel guests is on the 19th floor! The hotel is old and dated. It does look very grand from the outside, but is in serious need of an update. All of those things I would normally push aside, but water pouring through the ceiling and no management acknowledgement is unacceptable. We did get our cocktails on Thursday night taken off the bill. Doesn't compensate for terrible management.

Overall all the amenities were excellent. The service in your restaurant the Pergola was below average. The gentlemen who appeared to be the manager was not friendly or made us feel welcome at breakfast. We were the only ones there at 7:30am. The service was somewhat attentive although would disappear for extended periods of time. 18% predetermined gratuity for a buffet breakfast was a bit presumptuous. We stopped there for a drink on Saturday nite and again not an inviting atmosphere.

We had a really nice stay at the Bellevue for a graduation weekend. The hotel is located in a great part of town around wonderful restaurants and it was easy to navigate to other parts of the city. The room was huge and beautiful. The staff was very friendly. The service was okay- we had a few issues like we never got a bottle opener we requested from the front desk to open a soda that was delivered by room service so we needed to use keys to get it open. Room service also took awhile during peak times and in room dining closed before 10pm. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

The walk-in closet space was very large, the bathroom was spacious, including the shower area, and the room had adequate seating areas. The bed was comfortable. Hotel stay was excellent, however the booking from hotels.com was an issue. Hotel manager couldn’t find the booking due to mis communication from Hotels.com to hotel property. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous! When we checked in, we were told there would be bottled water available in the room but that there were currently two only. The property was beautiful and the service was top notch. However, we reserved a two queen bed room and we were given a king bed room. We had to have a rolling bed sent to the room to accommodate us. The rolling bed took up the remaining available space in the room. We stayed 3 nights in a crowded room barely large enough to accommodate 3 people and our luggage. My husband had to sleep on a rolling twin bed. We were told we would be moved if any double queen rooms became available, but this did not happen.

Great historic hotel in downtown Philadelphia. The staff were excellent. The room was good for the age of the hotel. My one major complaint was the noise from outside. From 9pm throughout the night, dirt bikes and loud vehicles drive recklessly down the road echoing into the hotel. There is no noice insulation. This is a major problem and will keep people from visiting this city if things do not change.

The hotel is centrally located. I was able to walk to every museum, the convention center, and delicious restaurants from this hotel. Also, many great transportation options available in walking distance as well. I was able to take the subway from Suburban Station to-and-from the airport and walk to the hotel!

The Bellevue is a very unique experience due to the hotel's history. Pros: Very conveniently located in the heart of the city, unique architectural elements, lots of history. Cons: Very loud facing Broad Street throughout the night (ATVs, dirt bikes, slingshots, etc). We asked to move rooms and were told that they were sold out, however we saw very few other hotel guest during our stay. I know the noise is a City of Philadelphia problem, however, the hotel was not accommodating in helping the situation. Also, our room was only cleaned once during our 5 day stay.

This was my first stay at the Bellevue. It has been beautifully restored, both the public areas and the lodging rooms. I especially appreciated the Nespresso mini coffee maker and mini-fridge. The hotel is on the block to the north of the Academy of Music, so it was very convenient for my visit to the ballet. Disabled access is less than ideal, but I understand that they are building a ramp entrance near the front of the lobby. For now, you go to the back entrance and use a little lift to get into the back lobby. Several excellent restaurants within a block: Estia (Greek), Le Pain Quotidian, and Tuscany Cafe were my favorites.

We had a nice stay at the Bellevue. Our room was comfortable, and clean. Our biggest issue was at Pergola, for breakfast. We ordered eggs and omelettes, which seemed a safe bet. Unfortunately, they came with potatoes that were covered in garlic and onion powder, rendering them completely inedible. We sent one of the plates back and said we couldn’t eat it , it was so bags. There was no apology, and they still billed us for it! We should have argued, but instead chalked it up to a learning lesson, and probably won’t be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. It is beautiful inside, the complementary coffee on the 19th floor was appreciated and the restaurant and bar were fantastic. My only complaints were our room was not ready at 4:00 check in, the 1st day we received no cleaning service and the second day they took dirty towels, gave new towels but did not empty trash or make beds.

The historic nature of the hotel was stunning and the surrounding buildings were also rich with history. Our hotel room was huge and clean, but it had a window that wierdly opened to nothing, smh... made the whole room feel bit dungeness and we were on the 12th floor! There's no room service and the advertised food court is no longer there. I have mixed feelings about recommending this hotel at the moment, but I'm willing to give it a second chance in hopes of a better experience. BTW, staff at the only restaurant in the hotel was really great!
