This is a lovely pair of buildings in a lovely location. If you like sunsets over the water you don't need to go to the beach, the Susquehanna is wide and slow and the adirondack chairs are in a perfect spot to sip cocktails and watch the joggers on the river walk and see the sun work its way into the hills.

By coincidence, the innkeeper opened the door as we pulled into the parking lot. Bonnie (the innkeeper) explained the facilities and gave us a tour. Parking was convenient, the room was perfect, and breakfast was a treat. We had a perfect stay and are recommending The Manor to our friends.

Wanted to stay close to downtown Harrisburg and near old historical areas. The Manor was in a great location with private parking, great breakfast, quiet, and private. I was looking for something different from chain hotels and was thrilled with the unique atmosphere, setting, and reasonable price.

Excellent in every way. I had a code to let myself in but staff was there as well to help explain the workings of the Manor. Great room - as I was alone I took one of the smaller rooms - met my needs. Lots of common spaces to wander around - beautiful.

The rooms and property are beautiful and it is quite the value considering parking and a generous breakfast are included in the price. The beds were super comfortable and the place is so quiet making for a good night’s sleep. The owners are friendly and easy to deal with - there is contactless check in and check out. We were very happy with the choice and highly recommend this B&B.

This property was a unique property in the city of Harrisburg. Once slated for demolition it went up for auction in the past 5 years and was purchased by a couple that completely renovated it. It was tastefully done with very spacious rooms, wonderful sitting areas, coffee/tea stations throughout, and a great breakfast! I would highly recommend staying here! We will be back!

We stay here frequently to and from New England! Place is great, clean, well appointed and host is friendly. Bottle water is provided in the room and each mansion has access to a fridge for storing travel items or left over food. There is also access to microwave and tea or coffee 24/7.

Beautiful location on the river with a nice courtyard to relax in. The breakfast service was the only disappointment. They only allow 8 people at breakfast at a time, and you have to reserve a spot by writing your name on a white board the day before. When we returned after 5pm on two days, all the spots before 9:30 were taken, so we missed breakfast twice. Seems like there could be a more accommodating setup.

The Manor is such a beautiful sparkling clean place to stay. Super comfy bed and large room. Tasteful furnishings on every floor and lots of sitting rooms and nooks to relax and enjoy. Breakfast was wonderful (including Crustless Spinach frittata and Eggs done your way) and the owners couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. A beautiful stately home right on the river. We got in just in time to watch the sun setting over the Susquehanna River. A moment I’ll never forget. It was magical. Room was clean and breakfast was very good.

The property itself was great- the outside was beautiful and well kept. The room we stayed in was comfortable and spacious. A little mold on shower curtain. The breakfast was not good, potatoes wasn’t cooked, two spinach leaves in the spinach frittata. The worst was the servers attitude. Very rude and angry. Will not stay here again.

Amazing location,the mansion is beautiful, the rooms are extremely clean and well taken care of. The bed in the bennington is one of the most comfortable beds ive ever been in, the people are extremely nice and welcoming and very accommodating. Will definitely stay again!

The home is beautiful. I thought the bathroom needed updating. There were 2 burnt out bulbs in the bedroom. For what we paid I would not return. The description of the room stated coffee makers in every room. It was outside the room. Just little things but that makes all the difference.

It was our first bed-and-breakfast stay, it was a wonderful experience. The room was clean. The people were friendly, and the view of the river was so relaxing. We sat outside and just enjoyed the view. We walked along the river. We should have walked a little further because we could have seen the Governor’s mansion. The breakfast was excellent and our server was so nice. we would definitely recommend staying here.

Grounds not maintained .river view's obstructed by brush. Waitstaff no dressed appropriately cords draped along wall haphazardly. definitely not worth 200 + anight breakfast tasted like all the food was taken out of a tv dinner and put on a plate .

My wife and I really enjoyed a getaway here. The room was comfortable, the innkeeper made the stay enjoyable, and it is right across from a walking/biking path, which made it easy to bike to the capitol building for a tour.

This is a beautiful old riverside mansion that has been fully updated and furnished with lovely period pieces. Our room, the Hull Suite was the original master bedroom. It is stunning, comfortable and has a great view of the river and sunset. The ensuite bathroom is dated, but all the fixtures have been updated, are spotlessly clean, and work perfectly. Make sure to enjoy sitting in the library and the living room. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We will definitely stay there again when traveling though Harrisburg!

The manor on front is a beautiful property comprised of two historic houses with ample grounds looking out at the Susquehanna river. Our room was very big with windows all around and an absolutely gorgeous king sleigh bed. The owners were very nice, pleasant to talk to and full of suggestions for restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and took advantage both of what the city of Harrisburg has to offer as well as surrounding nature. Definitely recommended.

This place is a hidden gem in Harrisburg. I went to Harrisburg for a conference but I ended up taking a personal retreat at the manor two full days instead of going to the conference. I stayed in the suite with a full river view and it created a serene atmosphere. Loved the full size bath tub where you can really soak yourself.

This property consists of two very beautiful 19th c. mansions converted into B & B's. We had a huge room called the Hull Suite which was handsomly decorated in period style. A more modern ensuite bath was also very elegant. A delicious full breakfast was served in the gorgeous dining room. If you want to treat yourself, this is a perfect choice. The only negative was the stairs to our suite....as oldsters we were challenged.

We were in town from NYC for a funeral and looking for a more elevated experience than one we could have easily chosen at a downtown Harrisburg hotel. The property, location, and cleanliness of the Inn are great. Disappointed in the service as we were the only guest in the entire inn for the night. We had a wonderful time with several friends staying in both buildings for a wedding. We never saw any staff members until breakfast on our last morning. We did not have breakfast there on our first morning because I sent 2 emails asking if our daughter and son in law could join us for breakfast and never received a response. We ate off site that morning. The bed was comfortable, the rooms immaculate.Our one note of negative is the lack of reciprocal communication.

Pros: Lovely b&b right across from the river in an historic house. Very comfortable accommodations and good breakfast. Clean and safe neighborhood. Cons: “greeterless” check in. Confusing entrance to accommodations (we walked around the property for 20 minutes until we figured out a way in).

This was a historic home that had been saved from demolition and converted into a B&B. We loved the location along the Susquehanna River. Access to I-81 and I-83 made transportation simple. Four breakfast options were included in the price. The price was competitive with many of the chain hotels, so we considered our stay to be a great decision.

This was my first bed and breakfast, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The property is beautiful, and the breakfast was so good!! The manor is right by the water, so the views are just stunning. We had no issues at all with our stay. It was only 25 minutes from Hershey Park, and Lake Tobias is also close by. Harrisburg itself is not the best city. But the property is in a safe area, and it is easy access to the attractions in the surrounding area. Thank you for everything!

The breakfasts are great! However, we were disappointed to be informed that the kitchen was closed on the day we were checking out. Since the breakfast order forms were not left on our door, unlike the first 3 evenings of our stay, we assumed that they weren't needed, since most of the guests left on Memorial Day. This process could use improvement.
