Super 8 by Wyndham Odessa TX

the elevators didn't work my whole stay. smelled like weed in the hallways. would not stay here again

The place was conveniently located off the highway which was nice. The white noise from the highway traffic is something that goes with the location however it did not bother us. I liked the parking lot as it well lit and large enough to comfortably park the 15' U-Haul trailer I was pulling. The ice machine on our floor was not working but we found one that did work so no real issue.

People were nice and we got fresh towels everyday of the week we were there and even with the negative stuff I would stay again The mini fridge froze the food or apples everything there was no inbetween. One washer and dryer in the laundry room and the pool was closed .

Clean, decent bed, good hot water and pressure. Hot tub out of order, elevator out of order

Pool and jacuzzi were out of service. And the parking was a bit rough with all the company work vehicles

They have not fixed the elevator in 5 months

Plenty of parking, easy access

Pool and gym were closed. Our room wasn't very clean and in disrepair.

This hotel was NASTY .. the room we were put in was filthy! There was trash underneath the bed and stains all over the bed sheets , dry tooth paste on the door in the bathroom and just nasty nasty nasty!

Price, location and staff were all great. But they have mice in the rooms. I complained and was told that they couldn't do anything about it

Mice in room. Front desk laughed at me. Gave me another room which was disgusting. Brown splatters on walls and hair stuck on wall in bathroom. Food in microwave and brown smears and hair on blanket. Showed workers and housekeeping. Took video and photos. Manager and owner refused to comp or discount stay.

The curtains were filthy, the fridge had a yellow liquid inside and the bed was worn out. The front desk receptionist was less than happy to see us.

This place was disgusting. Our room had the trash cans filled and stains all over the walls, we had to request new sheets and change them ourselves because the sheets on the bed were disgusting. It smelled very strong like smoke in our “non smoking room”. Front desk night shift was not very pleasant. Don’t even bother booking for free breakfast cause that was a crap chute too. I didn’t get pics of the stains and bed because we arrived late at night but man I wish I did because it was horrendous.

Everything was dirty. Specimen in & on our toilet, hair everywhere from the restroom floor, tub & sink to the bedding area. Trash laying around the room, food on the carpet, dust on everything you touched!! Went downstairs for breakfast @8 & there was nothing but dry cereal & gave it a wait but nothing got restocked. Never again!!

Room had a horrible smell and the heater was broken where I told the desk clerk she didn’t seem to care. Had a film on everything in the bathroom and the floor of the shower had a slimy feel to it.

Bed cover and towels were all stained. Carpet was dirty and furniture and fixtures were very worn. Hallway and room smelled musty. Exits were blocked "open" so that just anyone could enter into the hotel. I'm surprised that Wyndham would attach their name to this place

The A/C, Heater does not work. After I take my shower the room is usually hot. So zi turn the a/c on. Yes, even in winter time I use it. But, regardless the a/c, heater should be in working order.

Staff was very friendly and accommodated me showing up early. The rooms are clean and have plenty of room. The only complaint I have is my key card did not work very good and the door handle needed to be changed out. Other than that it was a great stay for the price.

Booked a smoking room was asked at checkin if we wanted smoking then was given a non smoking the key wouldn't work. Then the buttons for the temp would get stuck.

The lock won't open it would take anywhere form 3 minutes to 10 minutes to open the door

The room didn't feel or smell clean.The bed wasn't comfortable at all. The AC didn't keep the room very cool,it had a humid wet feel. Also a horrible smell coming from the bathroom sink!

Well the elevators were not working at the time but the price was worth it and the room was spacious

Person checking us in as very helpful. Elevator was not working, husband is handicap and uses a walker after having a. Stroke. Front desk found us a very nice room that was an upgrade.

What a breath of fresh air was Jasmin, very personable and welcoming. I wish we were always greeted in such a warm way She is definitely an asset!

Customer service is excellent. The rooms are always clean and it is a very quiet hotel to stay in in the Odessa area. This is the only hotel that I stay when I work in West Texas.

Checked in fine, next day I checked my bank and I they charged me 4 times when to the front desk told me it was an error. Took 3 days to put my money back. To then again check my bank and charged me another 3 times the day went to the front desk and they said they couldn’t help me

The over night receptionist was rude

I had an emergency and I needed to leave payment for the room where I was at 310 and the person who was in the counter at reception made my life impossible, had no empathy with me and I was telling her that I had to go to the Hospital which I had 45 minutes away from the Hotel. I made another reservation, she made me take out all my belongings and she told me that she could not give me the other room until it was 3:00 pm and she insisted that I had to go to the Hospital but that did not matter to her, but she received another call from a room that could not be moved and she took charge of the card of the room to that client and left him in it, but I could not leave myself in the same room. This happened between 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning today, Wednesday, April 2. The reservation I had in Odessa I had to move to El Paso, because my family member was transferred by ambulance to El Paso Texas.

It was a nice clean room bed made every day clean towels and clean lobby, clean laundry room. Never used the pool or hot tub but it looked nice. Pillows and king bed were a 5 out of ten. But id stay there again. Staff was friendly also. Dint eat the breakfast but it looked good everything was tidy.

Room was clean, but had coffee maker with no cups, night light had no bulb, lots of noise from freeway.

That was probably one of the worst nights.I spent in a hotel.The door lock didn't work good and the breakfast in the morning was the worst.Everything was cold and they didn't have no options.Whatsoever, I will never stay there again

Basic cheap hotel. Everything as expected. Clean enough room, no bedbugs or cockroaches. Terrible breakfast.

Free breakfast was not replenished. Juice machine not working. Toaster not working. No coffee. Etc. etc.

Poor breakfast choices. Often out of milk Or orange juice. Small things like tp holders broken. Beds great. People great.

The advertisement shows indoor pool so you would imagine it being room temperature or warmer , after checking in and checking out the indoor pool , that water was colder than ice , the breakfast was the same thing every morning and the orange juice machine was always broken so we had to settle with water and bread , I ask for towels and none were ever taken , my first day I couldn’t get inside the room , the card door reader needed new batteries . I bathed and used the same towels every days because housekeeping never bother to stop and clean my room for my 8 day stay

I have a very easy check in . Breakfast was great . No complaints.

It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t great. The lack of hot water is really my buzkill as was since the pools out of order, you can’t access the gym. Also the overnight front desk staff will reject your calls. I had to double call more than once because it’d go to voicemail mid ring so I know they just denied the calls. However every interaction other than that with the staff was pleasant. Nice people. Breakfast was okay however there was no juice and the container they use for the milk lets the milk get air in it which changes the taste. But it was in a clean area and ready when it was time for breakfast. My room was pretty clean but I looked at the sheets and was not pleased, however the mattress under the sheets was clean so I just put a disposable on it. It’s a place to sleep and a place to get a Luke warm shower. Could be improved in some areas. I won’t go as far to give this place a bad rating because from the sounds and looks of it it’s one of the better cheaper options. Just know since you’re not paying nice hotel price, you don’t get things like nice hot water or a gym or anything. I wouldn’t recommend long term stays here personally but it’s good if you just need a place to rest your head that isn’t awful and saves some money. I will stay again if I have to in the future. Please fix the pool. And please make the gym accessible despite the pool being down. And turn the temp on the hot water tank up.

The contact number to tell them that we were arriving late was to the Wyndham sales team. They tried to sell us timeshares and other unnecessary things. The elevator was broken when we got there. The hot tub was broken. Which meant the swimming pool was off limits. Got to the room and there were no towels. The Chargers for the lamps on either side of the bed did not work. I stuck to a portion of the floor. Two light bulbs were burnt out. The breakfast was under stocked and not well maintained. On the positive side, the lady at the checkout desk did inform us of what was going on. She was very nice. She did get the towels quickly. The bathroom was clean. The room looked nice. And the TV worked.
